We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!

While the storm clouds gather far across the sea, let us swear allegiance to a land that’s free.

Let us all be grateful for a land so fair, as we raise our voices in a solemn prayer:

For us to receive and put on the Ephesians 6 “full armor of God” as we begin this hour, 

that we might be protected as we stand in the gap for our country!

The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly 

for the safety and security of our duly elected President, Donald John Trump, 

and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!

We pray for his protection, his restoration to his rightful office, and that he is led by the Holy Spirit 

so that he will discern truth and act for the good of the nation. 

We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage and family, and cover them all with the Blood of Jesus.

Pray. 

For all those working to expose the fraud and corruption of our elections!

Let those leaders that God anoints and appoints 

take their places in the governments of each state and in our nation’s Capitol! 

Pray. 

We will now spend the next 10 minutes praying specifically for President Trump 

so that those planted by globalists, socialists, and the Deep State around him will be taken down.

For many, prayer is an integral part of daily life. Prayer offers a rich connection to our spiritual lives, nurturing our relationships and faith, and provides comfort in times of crisis or need. We are living in a time that requires much prayer…and an ever-deepening faith! On this, our country’s NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, we turn as a people to God, on behalf of our nation! The Scripture above is being prayed nationwide today, and is reinforced through the theme for our 2024 NDP: “LIFT UP THE WORD – LIGHT UP THE WORLD.” Pray.

The United States NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER is observed annually on the first Thursday in May. This observance, designated by the United States Congress, calls all of our people to take this day and turn to God in prayer. Although some of different faiths may participate in their own ways in synagogues, mosques or temples on this day, most Christians observe it in public interdenominational prayer events, in their churches, local parks and other gathering places in their communities! Pray.

A brief history: 

In the early 1950s, an evangelical movement called for Congress and the President to proclaim a National Day of Prayer. 

The movement grew and a young leader, Evangelist Billy Graham, led services for approximately 20,000 on the steps of the Capitol on February 3, 1952. 

Later that year, Congress proclaimed a joint resolution for a National Day of Prayer. President Harry S. Truman proclaimed a National Day of Prayer to be observed on July 4, 1952. Each year since that date, Americans have observed the day in their own way. 

The observance was moved to the first Thursday in May by President Ronald Reagan and has been proclaimed each year since. Pray.

As a Nation, presidents and government officials have called for national days of prayer or thanks since before the country’s existence. 

July 20, 1775 – The Continental Congress issued a proclamation recommending “a day of public humiliation, fasting, and prayer” be observed.

In 1795 – George Washington proclaimed a day of public thanksgiving and prayer.

May 9, 1798 – John Adams declared this day as “a day of solemn humility, fasting, and prayer.”

March 1863 – On March 30, Abraham Lincoln signed a Congressional resolution, during the Civil War, which called for April 30, 1863, as a day of fasting and prayer.

Today, as we observe this 2024 National Day of Prayer, we reaffirm our call for a National Day of Repentance, on which the citizens of our country will pray and repent for the sins of our nation, asking God for His mercy and grace, and for the healing of our land! Pray.

A Proclamation

Whereas from the earliest days of our history our people have been accustomed to turn to Almighty God for help and guidance; and

Whereas in times of national crisis when we are striving to strengthen the foundations of peace and security we stand in special need of divine support; and

Whereas the Congress, by a joint resolution approved on April 17, 1952 (66 Stat. 64), has provided that the President “shall set aside and proclaim a suitable day each year, other than a Sunday, as a National Day of Prayer, on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation”; and

Whereas I deem it fitting that this Day of Prayer coincide with the anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, which published to the world this Nation’s “firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence”:

Now, Therefore, I, Harry S. Truman, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim Friday, July 4, 1952, as a National Day of Prayer, on which all of us, in our churches, in our homes, and in our hearts, may beseech God to grant us wisdom to know the course which we should follow, and strength and patience to pursue that course steadfastly. May we also give thanks to Him for His constant watchfulness over us in every hour of national prosperity and national peril.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States of America to be affixed.

That the people of our nation will stand alongside President Trump, and remain engaged in this BATTLE TO SAVE AMERICA until VICTORY is won! Pray. 

Protect and strengthen our 24/7 family and bring in new intercessors (like our dear Samoan brothers and sisters) who are called to this assignment with us, to pray for our President and our beloved nation! Prepare us for our NEXT STEPS in this Battle to Save America! Pray.
