that we might be protected as we continue to “stand in the gap” for our beloved country!

The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly
for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump,
and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for his protection and ask that he be led by the Holy Spirit
so that he will discern truth and act for the good of the nation.
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage and family, and cover them all with the Blood of Jesus.
Pray.
For those leaders God has anointed and appointed, to be elected and work together,
cleaning up corruption and restoring election integrity,
so righteousness will prevail in every race in 2026.
Bring the SCOTUS Justices into alignment with God’s purposes in making their decisions!
Protect all the members of the Trump Administration,
especially the Cabinet, military, law enforcement agencies, such as ICE, FBI, and CBP.
Pray.
For God’s blessing and intervention in the lives of Joe Hoft, Tina Peters,
and WH Chief of Staff Susie Wiles,
as they each need miraculous resolutions to the issues threatening and attacking them!

The US Supreme Court will hear oral arguments today – Monday, March 23rd – in Watson v. Republican National Committee, a case challenging the legality of a Mississippi law that allows absentee / mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted if they are received up to five business days after the election. Opponents (including the GOP) to mail-in ballot grace periods argue that federal law requires receipt by Election Day for election integrity. A pro-GOP ruling could eliminate such grace periods in at least 14 states (most of them blue) that currently allow post-Election Day receipt for regular mail-in ballots. California, New York, Illinois, Washington, New Jersey, Alaska, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Virginia…plus DC.
Such a ruling would have the greatest effect in strengthening the slim Republican majority in Congress. California, the most populous state…with the most notorious allegations of election fraud…has the most Representatives (52) in the House. The California governor’s race would also be affected, as CA counts more mail-in ballots than any other state (…due to its massive population of 40 million, with 16 million votes cast, with around 83% of its votes cast by mail-in ballots). Pray.
California sends every registered voter in the state (23 million) a ballot in the mail, whether they request one or not. Rejected and damaged ballots that are crumpled, illegible, or without signatures or envelopes can be cured and still counted anyway after Election Day if the voter corrects the mistake, often with the help of a volunteer or paid staffer from the Democratic Party. Two weeks after Election Day, in Orange County, CA, cured ballots helped Democrat Derek Tran pass up and flip Republican incumbent Michelle Steel’s seat in the House of Representatives. Similar political phenomena occurred in other Republican-led Congressional districts. For the entire month of November 2024, the tech capital of the United States and the world, California, took 4 weeks to do what entire countries do in a few hours on one day. Pray.
Mississippi is one of 14 states that allow absentee / mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted if they arrive within a set period of time after the election. The state passed a law allowing for a five-day grace period in 2020. Since the popularization of mail-in ballots due to the 2020 COVID pandemic, the majority of states (29 states plus DC) now allow at least some amount of absentee / mail-in ballots from military or overseas voters to be counted if they arrive after Election Day. About 43–46% of votes in the 2020 presidential election were cast by mail-in ballots (around 65 million ballots), roughly doubling pre-pandemic usage.
The Supreme Court agreed to hear Watson v. Republican National Committee in November, after a federal appeals court ruled that Mississippi’s law was preempted by federal statutes.
The Republican National Committee, the Mississippi Republican Party, the Libertarian Party of Mississippi, George County Election Commissioner Matthew Lamb, and former Hinds County Republican Party Chair James Perry challenged the law in 2024.
The US District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi ruled in favor of the state in July 2024.
Plaintiffs appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, where a three-judge panel in October 2024 held that Mississippi’s statute was unlawful and ordered the case be sent back to the district court.
Mississippi then appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Pray.
Opponents of the Mississippi law have asked SCOTUS to uphold the appeals court ruling, arguing that federal law establishes a uniform, national Election Day for congressional and presidential elections. “The Fifth Circuit rightly held that the ‘day for the election’ has a fixed meaning,” attorneys for the RNC and three other plaintiffs wrote in a brief. “It doesn’t mean whatever each State wants it to mean. It means the day by which ballots must be ‘received by state officials.’” Supporters of the law in favor of mail-in ballot grace periods, including Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson (RINO), argue that Mississippi’s statutory requirement that ballots be postmarked by Election Day complies with federal law. “The federal election-day statutes require only that the voters cast their ballots by election day,” Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s (RINO) office wrote. “The election has then occurred, even if election officials do not receive all ballots by that day.” On March 10, 2026, Mississippi lawmakers sent HB 908 to Governor Tate Reeves (R), which would repeal Mississippi’s five-day grace period if the Supreme Court rules it is unlawful. Pray.
On a positive note, in 2025, four states—Kansas, North Dakota, Ohio, and Utah—passed laws requiring absentee / mail-in ballots to be received by the close of polls on Election Day. Previously, Kansas required ballots to be received by the end of business on the third day following the election, Ohio counted ballots if they arrived within four days after the election, Utah required ballots to be received by noon on the day of the canvass, and North Dakota did not have a specific deadline in statute. So far this year, lawmakers in 21 states have introduced or carried over from the 2025 session 56 bills related to absentee / mail-in voting deadlines. Legislators in five states (Alaska, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia) have introduced bills requiring absentee / mail-in ballots to be received by the close of polls on Election Day.
NOTE: Illinois, New Jersey, and New York have “Democrat trifectas” (governor plus majorities in both houses of their state legislatures), West Virginia has a Republican trifecta, and Alaska has a divided government.
West Virginia HB 4600, which ends the state’s current four-day grace period for absentee ballots and requires ballots to be received by 8 PM on Election Day, passed the House of Delegates on a 79-17 vote on February 10. Seventy-nine Republicans voted in support of the bill, while 8 Democrats and 9 Republicans voted in opposition. The bill ending mail-in ballot grace periods is currently under consideration in the West Virginia state Senate. Pray.

For the SCOTUS Justices to uphold the integrity of federal election laws, ensuring ballots are handled in a manner that promotes uniform standards, prevents potential abuse or delay in counting, and protects the principle of a single, defined Election Day: that every valid vote is counted fairly and promptly without extended post-election mail-in ballot grace periods that erode public trust. Pray.
For God’s protection over election processes nationwide, and for favor with state legislatures proactively introducing and advancing bills that require mail-in/absentee ballots to be received by Election Day. May these legislative efforts curb practices that have led to prolonged counting and flipped seats where Republicans were either the incumbent or leading. Pray.
That the people of our nation will stand alongside President Trump, and remain engaged in this BATTLE TO SAVE AMERICA until VICTORY is won! Pray.
