24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call Saturday, September 30, 2017
“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”
1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #
URGENT! As intercessors on the 24/7 NSPC, our continuing assignment has been to pray for our President…for his spiritual, mental and physical welfare. We continue to pray in unity and agreement for him and our nation every hour as we transition from one hour to the next. Dear Lord, bless our President and our nation!
Praise Reports
- “People keep asking what God’s doing in these “storms” we’ve been facing. I prayed and heard, ‘God was glorifying Himself in the lives of millions of people through answered prayer, protection, provisions, peace, healing, love, comfort and compassion through members of His body.’ These are practice drills to prepare His remnant for the times to come and see multitudes saved, healed and set free.” – Peter Dettman, 24/7 Participant, FL
Praying for our President and his Administration
- Pray for our President as he is actively engaged in monitoring the recovery efforts in Puerto Rico. He has brought the full weight of the United States government to bear in order to ensure that food, water, healthcare, and other lifesaving resources are making it to the people in need. The message to the incredible people of Puerto Rico is this: “The President is behind you. We all are — the entire country. Your unbreakable spirit is an inspiration to us all. We are praying for you, we are working for you, and we will not let you down.”
Praying for our US Supreme Court and Judicial System
- We will begin praying specifically over the next 9 days for each sitting Justice, by name, according to the Biblical meaning of their names. Today, we call out the name of Chief Justice John Roberts before the Lord. John – “Yahweh has been gracious” – John in the New Testament was a forerunner of Christ preaching repentance and baptized Jesus.
Strategic Focus for Saturday
Joy Comes in the Morning
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
Psalm 30:5
Whenever we encounter trials and times of testing, or endure hardship and suffering, we are assured by the Lord of one thing…that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” This past week, we on the 24/7 NSPC have prayed together, cried together, and struggled through making sense of issues that were causing division in our nation and separating hearts that were meant to be united! During the most intense moments, many of us had very “heavy” hearts…and for some of us, the tears that flowed were silent…too holy to make a sound!
Those who shared in this sorrow encouraged ourselves and one another with the Word, and “spoke to one another in songs, hymns and spiritual songs”, trusting that our loving God, Who knew all about what was taking place, was in control and would bring HIS resolution out of the things we were experiencing. Our responsibility before God was to guard our hearts and minds in CHRIST JESUS until we could see the LIGHT breaking through!
AND THAT’S JUST WHAT HAPPENED! Oh, “His mercy endures forever”… and soon, JOY was flooding our souls as we watched and heard and experienced the POWER OF LOVE as it was being given and received. Reconciliation was occurring as God worked in our hearts, “making all things new” again!
HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD! “Let us give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, and His mercies endure forever!”
- Lord Jesus, You know what it is to be a “man of sorrows”. You wept. You willingly bore the pain for all our sin…and never complained. Teach us to bear with one another, and to be willing to love one another into Your arms.
- Lord, You experienced the grief and anguish that accompanied our separation from You and Your Father…and with arms wide open, You paid the price for us to be restored. Teach us to be patient, to go that extra mile with others, and endure what we must to see Your glorious “end results”, salvations and reconciliations and restorations!
- Jesus, You were spit upon, beaten and tormented beyond anything we can imagine or have had to endure personally, but You “spoke not a word” against those who were torturing You. Give us the grace to forebear, not to retaliate or “fight back” with human weapons, but instead follow Your example. To bear the cross and walk in the way of love!
Lord Jesus, Your LOVE IS OVERWHELMING! Thank You for the cross, for Your sacrifice for us, for “bearing all our sin and shame”…because of that tremendous LOVE! What a Great Exchange!
Let us be worthy to receive that LOVE, to live in that LOVE and to share that precious LOVE with others…especially our President, who may feel as if he is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders right now. Bless him, Lord and allow him to have YOUR SHALOM today!
May You be glorified in all of our lives! Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ!
