Nov 24, 2022 – Prayer Focus
Thursday, November 24, 2022 – The 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call
Happy Thanksgiving
“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”
1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 # (Ongoing call…24 hours a day!)
We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!
“I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness,
And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.”
Psalm 7:17
We sing: Now Thank We All Our God
Now thank we all our God, with heart and hands and voices,
Who wondrous things has done, in Whom His world rejoices;
Who from our mothers’ arms has blessed us on our way
with countless gifts of love, and still is ours today.
O may this bounteous God through all our life be near us,
With ever joyful hearts and blessed peace to cheer us;
and keep us in His grace, and guide us when perplexed;
and free us from all ills, in this world and the next!
All praise and thanks to God the Father now be given;
The Son and Him Who reigns with Them in highest Heaven;
the One Eternal God, whom earth and Heaven adore;
for thus it was, is now, and shall be evermore.

The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly
for the safety and security of our duly elected President, Donald John Trump,
and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for his protection, for our First Lady, Melania, and their marriage
and for all the members of their family. We cover them all with the Blood of Jesus.
Pray.
For the restoration of Donald Trump to his rightful office.
In every situation and decision, let our President be led by the Holy Spirit,
so that he learns the truth and acts accordingly, for the good of the nation.
Pray.
For protection, provision, and peace
for all working to expose the fraud and corruption of our 2020 and 2022 elections!
As the SAVE AMERICA movement gains momentum, let those leaders that God anoints and appoints
take their places in the governments of each state and in our nation’s Capitol!
Pray.

“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.“
1 Thessalonians 5:18
We have all heard stories surrounding the “First Thanksgiving” in 1621, celebrating the first autumn harvest and the generous bounty reaped from this new land by the Mayflower Pilgrim settlers with the help of their Native American neighbors. Today, we give thanks for that occasion, and couple it with our gratitude for the provision granted to each of us from our Most Bounteous Lord! Let us corporately thank Him for His sweet provision! Pray.
Speaking of giving thanks, here is a story that some might not have heard. 14 years prior, thanks were offered on these shores, when, on a warm, clear day in April 1607, an Anglican priest named Robert Hunt led a group of English colonists up a windswept dune to where they had erected a rough-hewn cross, carried over from England, at a place they named Cape Henry. Lifting his eyes toward heaven, Hunt led them in a providential prayer that would forever mark the future of the nation that would one day rise from these shores – and would impact the destiny of other nations around the world.
“He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
He remembers His covenant forever, the Word which He commanded, for a thousand generations”
Psalm 105:7-8
Pray.
Craig von Buseck of CBN wrote Cape Henry: Spiritual Roots of a Nation, in which he shared about this prophetic moment in time, that came as a result of the labor and prayer by another English Anglican priest…a leading expert on exploration… Richard Hakluyt. Orphaned at a young age, he became the ward of an older cousin, who opened Richard’s eyes to the exciting study of ocean travel, worldwide exploration, and the Word! He later wrote that his cousin “brought me to the Bible and turning to the 107th Psalm, directed me to the 23rd and 24th verses, where I read, that ‘they which go down to the sea in ships, and occupy [their business in] great waters, these see the works for the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.’
Richard pursued his new-found interest in exploration – a passion that would hold his interest for the rest of his life. His other passion was the Word of God. Earning his degree from Oxford, he became both an Anglican priest and one of England’s foremost experts in geography and began to realize the importance of a permanent English settlement in the New World. In 1497, John Cabot discovered and claimed North America for England, but no permanent colony had been established and the continent was being explored and settled by the Spanish and the French. In order for Protestant England to be preserved, the nation needed to grow beyond the tiny British Isles. Hakluyt’s lifelong quest was to see the vast North American continent explored, settled, and by God’s grace, evangelized by the English people. Pray.
In 1583, he wrote a passionate plea to Queen Elizabeth asking her to approve English settlements in the New World. He argued his case before Queen Elizabeth I… who was so focused on the threat of war from Spain that she would not consider Hakluyt’s arguments. When James I came to the throne, Richard gathered a group of like-minded merchants and explorers, forming the Virginia Company, and had an audience with the serious and scholarly monarch, committed to the Christian faith and the future of the newly united kingdom. The new king looked favorably upon their request and had the Virginia Company charter drafted for the endeavor; the chief writer was Richard Hakluyt, who clearly delineated the spiritual aspect of the venture, which brought the expansion of the kingdom, and the search for natural resources and gold to build the empire, but had, as its stated mission a concern for spiritual things. The British saw this missionary aspect of the endeavor as a way to extend to others the same gospel message that came to them, doing for the natives what others had done for them centuries before. In the days of Roman conquest, the native Britons were a group of loosely-organized tribes, similar to the Native American peoples. The civilizing effect of Roman law and later Christian religion had lifted the British people and made them a mighty nation. Pray.
On December 20, 1605, 105 settlers and 40 seamen set out from the river Thames in England in three small wooden vessels – the Susan Constant, the Godspeed, and the Discovery. But Richard Hakluyt was too old and too valuable of an advisor to the king to allow on the perilous journey. Instead, his dear friend, Rev. Robert Hunt, would join the expedition as the spiritual leader. After a difficult journey, on April 26, the colonists finally saw land in the distance. They had arrived in Virginia! The ships entered the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay and set anchor just beyond the Atlantic Ocean. They named the place Cape Henry, after James’ son, Henry, Prince of Wales. Before permitting the settlers to go ashore, Rev. Hunt required that each of the colonists wait on the ships for three days in a time of personal examination and repentance. The journey had been filled with difficulty and in-fighting among the colonists. If they were to consecrate the land for God’s purposes, Hunt wanted the company to be contrite in heart. Pray.
They carried one item from England, for the purpose of giving glory to God in the endeavor, a rough-hewn wooden cross. After the three days passed, Hunt led the party to the shore, where they erected the seven-foot oak cross in the sand. The colonists and sailors gathered around the cross, holding the first formal prayer service in Virginia to give thanksgiving for God’s mercy and grace in bringing them safely to this new land. As they knelt in the sand, Hunt reminded them of the admonition of the British Royal Council, taken from the Holy Scripture: “Every plantation, which my Heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.” Raising his hands to heaven, Rev. Robert Hunt claimed the land for country and king and consecrated the continent to the glory of God. He stood as a representative of the King, the Church, and the people of England, in a sacred moment, and dedicated the new continent to the purpose of God. This was the first official act by the English in the New World. In covenantal language, he declared, “…from these very shores the Gospel shall go forth to not only this New World but the entire world.” Pray.
Jamestown became the first successful and permanent English colony, with Protestant church services held by Robert Hunt under an old sail until the first church building was erected. In Jamestown, colonists came together for prayer three times a day and the church was at the center of the town. It was also the site of the first representative government in North America, the Virginia General Assembly, which is now the third oldest continuous legislature in the world. Pray.
Before the original settlers landed at Cape Henry, the Holy Spirit was at work through a godly man, preparing the way for a continent to be dedicated to His glory, for His purposes. Of Richard Hakluyt, it was said “England is more indebted for its American possession than to any man of that age.” As Rev. Hunt prayed on that fateful day in 1607, their “plantation” was not “rooted up.” From these humble beginnings, in North America, freedom flourished, allowing for unprecedented prosperity and peace. By God’s providence, Rev. Hunt’s prayer continues to bear fruit, “…from these very shores the Gospel shall go forth to not only this New World but the entire world.” Indeed, we have reason to be thankful today! Pray.
As we close this precious hour, let us take communion together, in thanksgiving for all our blessings, and looking forward to the day we will enjoy a heavenly banquet…at the marriage feast of the Lamb. (Partake in communion!)
We close this hour by singing:
Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart
Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One;
give thanks, because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son.
Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One;
give thanks, because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son.
And now let the weak say ‘I am strong’, let the poor say ‘I am rich’,
because of what the Lord has done for us.
Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One;
give thanks, because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son.
Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One;
give thanks, because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son.
And now let the weak say ‘I am strong’, let the poor say ‘I am rich’,
because of what the Lord has done for us. Give thanks…
We pray:
- With grateful hearts for God’s merciful hand upon our nation, that provides for and sustains us! Pray.
- We bless our true leader, President Trump, and pray that he might lead us well during these tumultuous times! Guard, guide and govern his every word and action; protect him from all enemies, without and within; help him discern rightly about counsel given by those who advise him. Pray.
- In thanksgiving for all the conservative candidates who were elected to office. Protect them as they take their places, to fight for critical issues and to rectify the fraud in our elections! Pray.
- With gratitude for all who are “standing in the gap” with our President, engaging in this BATTLE TO SAVE AMERICA, and rejecting the usurper and those pulling his strings in this faux administration. Pray.
- Protect and strengthen our 24/7 family and bring in new intercessors who are called to this assignment with us, to pray for our President and our beloved nation! Pray.
