for the safety and security of our President Donald John Trump
and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for our President’s protection and we cover him with the Blood of Jesus.
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their son Barron and each of their family members.
We cover our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family
and all those serving in this Administration.
We also bless the members of the Federal Reserve Board along with those who are part of our nation’s banking system which impacts our economy! May Jerome H. Powell, Richard H. Clarida,
Randal K. Quarles, Michelle W. Bowman, and Lael Brainard serve with integrity and honor!
The 24/7 NSPC is calling the Body of Christ nationwide to pray for the 2020 National Elections,
mobilizing intercessors and positioning ourselves in prayer before the Lord
on behalf of our President and nation!

Idolatry – Part 2 – The Overwhelming Presence of God
“When the Philistines took the Ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon and set it by Dagon…
And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the Ark of the Lord. The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only Dagon’s torso was left of it. Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor any who come into Dagon’s house tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.”
1 Samuel 5:2-5
As we pray daily for our President and for that which impacts and affects this nation, we cannot help but see how many people are lost and serving false gods. We don’t have to go to foreign lands to find them…America is full of them. Numerous false gods are receiving worship and holding people in bondage, everywhere we look. From the demonic spirits behind the Muslim god “allah”, to the millions of false Hindu gods, to the false representation of Jesus in Mormonism…and on and on…each “false entity” has found its way into our culture with the intent of destroying our nation!
We pray:
- We say “NO!” to each and every false god operating in our nation, and declare that we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD. We stand in His Presence and HIM ALONE will we serve!
There is ONLY ONE TRUE GOD, and His sweet Presence is being welcomed into communities, cities, states across this land, by those who know, love and serve Him! Between the false gods and THE ONE TRUE GOD, there is no comparison…only a stark contrast!
The term “false god” is defined as “someone or something that is highly revered, followed devoutly, sacrificed for, and looked to for meaning in life and deliverance from problems.” Whatever is loved the most, whatever or whoever is engaged with, whatever we desire to please and serve…becomes an idol…and when it is enthroned in our lives…it will rule over us!
Today, many, either knowingly or unknowingly, entertain false gods and their idols. This applies to the rich and the poor…the learned and unlearned…to all classes of people who “create” and then “serve” something other than the ONE TRUE GOD! These include themselves, their children, their fathers or mothers, celebrities, even gifts that God has bestowed upon them. All too often, hearts engage, then reach out to embrace a gift that has fascinated and drawn someone to itself, and then, the ONE Who originally gave the gift is forgotten.
Those living in the 21st Century are no different in vulnerability to idolatry than the Israelites were when they formed the golden calf, or intermarried with the various “-ites” and brought their false gods into the camp!
People in the United States today “worship” various gods, including power, entertainment, popularity, pleasure, religion, knowledge, science…all of which cause their focus to be on something other than GOD…something they think will satisfy an immediate desire! The false god (i.e. the spirit behind the idol) begins to dominate the person’s life; it controls thoughts, words and actions; it determines how they look and dress, and manipulates by causing what others think and say to control and “keep them in line”! These are all “destructive distractions”, which cause people caught up with them to ignore, dismiss, and deny the very God Who created them… and enter into relationships with darkness that will ultimately destroy them!
For many, “mammon” has become a god! As mammon controls every decision, action and word in people’s lives, people’s trust is put in wealth, which is expected to supply all their needs…hence, God is not called upon to be their provision! Many “sell” their souls to gain influence, power, and wealth…and ignore the very One Who gives power to gain that wealth!
Sadly, today, idols are still being “fashioning” by those who then set up altars to these false gods, then bow down to worship them! What foolishness! In Job 31: 24-28, the Word of God says:
“If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, Thou art my confidence;
if I rejoiced because my wealth was great, and because mine hand had begotten much;
if I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;
and my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:
this also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above“
Contrast the false god, Dagon, destroyed in the Presence of God, and those who are so desperately entrapped today… with those of us who are God’s children, capable of freely entering into His Presence.
- While they are being used and abused by the spirits behind the idols, we are being loved and encouraged by the Spirit of God to draw ever closer!
- While they are starved for attention and affection, we are invited to sit at His table, to sup with Him and to receive from His hand all that we would ever need or want.
- For them there is no relationship but slavery! For us, just to be with Him, dwelling daily in HIS PRESENCE, is all we’ll ever want or need!
Those of us who love God would cringe to think that there were idols in our lives; the very moment we recognized one, we would be quick to remove it. But for those who do not know God, who are “deaf, dumb, blind and disabled spiritually”, who have never heard the VOICE OF GOD, these things set their traps, then enter in to overcome and subdue them, before they even notice.
We stand now, and pray in identificational repentance for the people of our nation. We speak the Word of God from Psalm 139:23-24 on their behalf…
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.”
We pray:
- That You will reveal to us, as intercessors, those things that have crept in to manipulate and take “center stage” (Your rightful place) in the lives of those we are praying for!
- Let whatever has caused their attention to be diverted from recognizing You as their Savior and Lord, be exposed and cast out, so that they might have a moment of clarity…a glimpse of the glorious freedom YOU intend for each of them!
- Give them each at least one chance to hear a clear, precise and loving message of salvation, so that they might choose YOU, Lord, and the ABUNDANT LIFE You promise to those who receive YOU!!
- Lord Jesus, thank You for showing mercy and forgiving those who have sought their own will, their own way, their own desires. Rescue them from themselves…and lead us all… as a nation.. back to You!
Lord, thank You! We receive Your instruction and correction, and delight in doing Your Will! We are totally and unqualifiedly YOURS! We approach Your Throne of Grace, asking that we might come freely into Your sweet PRESENCE, to worship and serve you in radical holiness, to be perfected in love, and be united with all those of your Body, flowing together under your Headship! We are OVERWHELMED in YOUR PRESENCE! Keep us as Your own, and use us for Your purposes, for the KING and THE KINGDOM, now and forever! Amen!

Praying for our President and his Administration
President Trump has signed an executive order to start pulling the federal government out of K-12 education, following through on a campaign promise to return school control to state and local officials. We applaud him! We pray:
- For Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, and all those charged with implementing this order!
- For each state, to responsibly handle this task, putting the children first, ahead of politics and party!
