Since taking over the House, Democrats have marched pretty much in lockstep with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but their “unity” seems to be coming apart. FOX TV Host SEAN HANNITY provided the following material from which we shaped our focus today. As we read through it, let us discern, and pray into the critical points, and ask God to let us hear what He is saying about all this! Lord, we commit this time to YOU! Speak! 

 Omar                       Ocasio-Cortez Tlaib 

As the 2020 Presidential election is gearing up, the Democratic Party is imploding. Radical, extreme far-left socialists have taken over. Any Democrat who doesn’t fall in line and support this their left-wing vision will get thrown to the curb by Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (“AOC”). All of America needs to see that this group of hyper-partisan freshmen lawmakers are now leading the way, and setting the agenda…and Nancy Pelosi is terrified of them. It is a very scary picture inside this new radical Democratic Party. As the 2020 primary season kicks into high gear, it’s very clear that it will be a contest to see who can present the single most radical, most extreme, most socialist vision for America’s future.

The group is led by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who warned her fellow Democratic lawmakers not to vote with Republicans or she will put them on a list to be challenged in the next election primaries. No surprise there. Political intimidation is always a key component of socialism. 

• AOC’s insane Green New Deal promises to totally reshape America by putting an end to all fossil fuels, combustion engines, nuclear energy, airplanes, and yes, cows, because of flatulence and carbon dioxide.
• It also promises to provide everything is free…free government healthy food, free daycare for your kids, free housing, free education K-college, free universal health care…and guaranteed vacations, guaranteed income and a guaranteed retirement – even for people unwilling to work.

Like any other socialist, Ocasio-Cortez is really just interested in improving her own quality of life and redistributing the wealth among those in her own inner circle. 

• Her chief of staff is now accused of illegally moving nearly a million dollars in campaign contributions to his own private companies and shielding the cash from all election-related reporting. He could have used those donations for anything… without reporting it, including payments to themselves, their family, their friends.
• Based on a separate FEC complaint, her boyfriend has funneled thousands of dollars from a political action committee set up by this same chief of staff, so he can keep up with her jet-setting lifestyle. 
• AOC wants to ban all air travel, yet loves flying between New York and DC. She could use Amtrak, which runs every hour from DC and New York, but she chooses not to, preferring the convenience of flying since the American people are picking up her bill.

AOC told us “the world was going to end in 12 years if we didn’t make drastic sacrifices and changes right now.” ’With socialists, it’s ‘Do as I say, not as I do.’ That’s why she has no problem taking planes over trains, why she prefers riding in a gas guzzler over public transportation. It’s why Ocasio-Cortez probably doesn’t want you to know that her mother left of New York because of its incredibly high taxes while Bernie, Hillary, Joe Biden, and Al Gore all take private jets all the time. The hypocrisy is just rampant.

And keep in mind, socialism is only one component of this radical extreme Democrat socialist party and their agenda. In fact, many of the same far-left lawmakers pushing socialist policies are also spreading vile, hateful, rabid anti-Semitic views all throughout the halls of Congress.

Which brings us to freshman Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) Earlier this month, she faced criticism from both sides of the aisle and subsequently apologized for tweets insinuating that the pro-Israel lobbying group American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, was effectively buying off American politicians. (*Interesting sidenote: Chuck Schumer will now be their guest speaker at his year’s gathering!) 

Now, due to recent remarks insinuating that pro-Israel groups are pushing “allegiance to a foreign country”, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Eliot Engel (D-NY), called on her to apologize. “I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country. I welcome debate in Congress based on the merits of the policy, but it’s unacceptable and deeply offensive to call into question the loyalty of fellow American citizens because of their political views, including support for the US-Israel relationship. We all take the same oath. Worse, Rep. Omar’s comments leveled that charge by invoking a vile anti-Semitic slur. Her comments were outrageous and deeply hurtful, and I ask that she retract them, apologize, and commit to making her case on policy issues without resorting to attacks that have no place in the Foreign Affairs Committee or the House of Representatives.”

One of two Muslim women in Congress, Omar has twice made comments many interpreted as being anti-Semitic. The plan to deal with this was to pass the resolution, but that fell apart yesterday in a raucous, closed-door meeting of Democrats. Some Freshman and female lawmakers and many from the Congressional Black Caucus felt Omar was being “treated unfairly and held to a different standard than white, male, Christian lawmakers”. 

After infighting by Democrats, and major last-minute revisions, the House voted on the bill yesterday afternoon, (407 to 23) with 23 Republicans voting no, and all Democrat voting yes.on the bipartisan resolution that indirectly condemned Omar’s repeated ‘anti-Semitic’ and ‘pernicious’ comments — without mentioning her by name. The final draft of the resolution was expanded to condemn virtually all forms of bigotry, in what Republicans characterized as a cynical ploy to distract from Omar’s remarks. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) who voted against the resolution said: “Now [the resolution] condemns just about everything. Hatred for Israel is a special kind of hatred. It should never be watered down.”

The attempt by anti-Semites to manipulate political leadership and national opinion against the Jewish people continues. First, Omar proclaimed that Israel is evil and “hypnotizing the world,” and then she suggested support for Israel was just because of Jewish money or, as she put it, “all about the Benjamins.” She’s pushing a longtime anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that her colleagues support Israel because they have a dual allegiance to the country….an age-old slur that goes back millennia. The vizier of ancient Persia, Haman, once used a similar line to stoke fear and hatred of the Jewish people 2,400 years ago as he plotted against their very existence. In Esther 3:8, we see Haman warning King Ahasuerus: “There is a certain people [the Jews] scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer them.” How appalling that this kindred spirit of Haman now stirs within the U.S. Congress. 

The twisted view of the world that her words show that she holds a hatred in her heart for Jews. As Jesus said: “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” Her words are just a symptom. A more disconcerting problem is what she believes. Her powerful position as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee enables her to normalize this anti-Semitism, spread falsehoods, and influence our international relations. During Israel’s 2012 war against U.S.-designated terrorist group Hamas, Omar tweeted: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

So, for the second time, the House of Representatives has been forced to consider passing a resolution reminding some Democrats that anti-Semitism is bad and will not be tolerated. Well, that’s not stopping Congresswoman Cortez from defending her anti-Semitic colleague on Twitter writing, “We called resolutions on sexist statements, a good chunk of Congress will be gone. Jump to the nuclear option every single time? Leaves the room or some corrective action? I’m asking everybody that we practice calling in before calling out.” This is sort of a socialist bird of a feather flocking together…even when one of them is absolutely obsessed with hating the world’s only Jewish state, our closest ally in the region, the only democracy in the region, Israel.

And meanwhile, far left anti-Semitic bigot and self-proclaimed women’s rights leader, Linda Sarsour, backed up her radical friends, slamming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to put forth a resolution against anti-Semitism. She called the speaker “a typical white feminist upholding the patriarchy doing the work of powerful white men.” Pelosi is afraid to take a stand; that freshman group could unseat her pretty quickly. We pray:

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), the third player in this “gruesome threesome” FOX TV Host Mark Levin contributed the following: Tlaib has announced that she plans to file an impeachment resolution against President Donald Trump. “Later on this month, I will be…filing the impeachment resolution to start the impeachment proceedings.” While Tlaib’s resolution is not expected to gain much traction in the immediate future — Democratic leadership and key committee chairs have stressed that they’re not at the impeachment stage in their investigations — Tlaib’s proposal highlights the extent to which a vocal faction of the House Democratic caucus is intent on pushing the issue immediately.

Tlaib downplayed any differences with House Democratic leaders, saying, “when I speak to leadership they constantly remind me I have to represent my district. I think every single colleague of mine agrees there’s impeachable offenses. That’s one thing that we all agree on. We may disagree on the pace. It’s really important that the President of the United States is investigated in violations of the United States Constitution,” highlighting in particular the emoluments clause, prohibiting gifts or benefits from foreign governments. “We have to also look into how the President has obstructed justice” (pointing to the President’s firing of former FBI director James Comey) and saying that he has “basically been able to bully his way to get his way. It’s not in the best interests of the American people.”

Tlaib ignited controversy just hours after her swearing-in when she defiantly told the audience at a progressive event, “we’re going to impeach the motherf****r.” Those comments provoked an uproar and sparked criticism from some fellow Democrats, but Tlaib didn’t back down. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi steered clear of impeachment talk when pressed by reporters about whether it would be an impeachable offense if the President violated campaign finance laws in office. “I’m not going into that,” Pelosi said, “impeachment is a divisive issue in our country.”

Praying for our Supreme Court and the Judicial System

The State of Colorado and Jack Phillips, cake baker and owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop who won his case at the Supreme Court last June, have settled a second case. When the Colorado Civil Rights Commission agreed to dismiss administrative action against Phillips, he withdrew his federal court case against the state. Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), who represented the baker, claims the state dropped the case after evidence was presented that showed “ongoing hostility” toward religious freedom.

We pray:

• Thank You, Lord, for protecting and defending Your son. We are grateful that the state of Colorado failed in its effort to prosecute Jack Phillips for a second time. We ask that they, and all those who persecute Your children, get the message that anti-religious hostility has no place in our country.
