Strategic Focus for Saturday
WELCOMING THE KING OF GLORY into the United States and California (Beulah)
Consequences of Welcoming the Glory – Part 3
“Tomb Time”! Waiting in Joyful Expectation!
“…because our hope is set on what is yet to be seen, we patiently keep on waiting for its fulfillment.”
Romans 8:25
After experiencing the wondrous Presence of God as we did last week in California (Beulah), we returned to our homes and communities… across the United States and beyond…with heightened expectation…and a renewed commitment to “wait in joyful expectation” for the manifestation of what is surely coming to each of our parts of the nation!
This “waiting” has been likened to a pregnancy: “All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply “birth pangs”. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs. These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don’t see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.” Romans 8:22-25 (Message translation)
We know that God is with us! He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. We have felt that “hope of Glory” that we’ve read about! We are certain that this is real…for there is a Tangible Presence being felt across the Body as the SHIFTING has BEGUN!
Feedback has been beautiful:
“In my minds eye, I still sit with the multitudes at the foot of the cross, feeling the warm sunlight of His love…see the encircling clouds…a host of angel guards creating an open heaven, while a white hawk flew overhead, indicating He has heard…”
“As we descended the mountain, the winds kicked up, signifying His Spirit is with us as we go forth to bring the winds of change.”
“It was like being transposed in time to Jesus feeding the 5,000, as we took communion! His peace, His love, binding hearts of the nations of every tribe in Divine Fellowship.”
“Thank you for trusting Him in facilitate this Divine Encounter! Indeed the winds of change have come!”
“Indeed, the winds of change HAVE come!” What a powerful and hope-filled statement by which we can joyfully celebrate Passover and the Resurrection! A consequences of “Welcoming the Glory” is that at a time when many look down on those who profess being Christian or Jewish, we look up…and focus on the One Who has called us to such joyful intimacy with Himself. We rejoice that He allows us to know, love and serve Him…and we renew our commitment to be together on the wall…crying out… giving Him no rest until He makes America “a praise in all the earth!” Press on, intercessors! KADIMA! It is happening! ALLELUIA!
Let us prepare our hearts to enter fully into the joy of this Paschal season and experience His GLORY!
- Take time today to reflect upon and repent from entertaining anything that is separating us from God…
- Seek a deeper understanding of what it means to have intimate relationship with Him.
- Ask to know Him more fully in each of His manifestations, as Father, Redeemer, and Sanctifier.
As we know, the observance of Passover began at sunset last night (Friday) and continues until sunset tonight (Saturday). It recalls the time when God caused the angel of death to take the lives of every firstborn of Egypt, while “honoring” the blood sprinkled over the Israelites’ households, leaving them safe from harm! After 400 years in slavery, God freed His people from bondage…so they could journey on, to the Promised Land.
This year, Christianity’s Good Friday observance coincided with Passover. Jesus, our Passover Lamb, was the Perfect Sacrifice…Who paid the ultimate price to liberate mankind from our sin. Our freedom was won by His Precious Blood, shed on the cross of Calvary!
“Behold the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world.”
John 1:29
We note that the crucifixion of Christ took place as the Passover lambs were being slaughtered and sacrificed in the Temple in Jerusalem. The Pesach (Passover) sacrifice (of the Passover lambs) needed to be completed before sundown (which is Friday on our calendar). The Messiah was nailed to the cross, suffered, and died before sundown on that day. He was then taken down from the and placed in a tomb…a tomb that could not hold HIM! Alleluia!
As we wait in joyful expectation for Sunday to come, let us examine, reflect on and pray into these events:
- Jesus entered Jerusalem on the 10th of Nisan, our “Palm Sunday”,. This was the time when devoted Jews were in the process of choosing their Passover lambs.
- These lambs were sacrificed for the sins of the people every year. How often do I repeat the same sins, repent of the same issues, only to sin again? Lord, work in me so I will not sin again!
- A great multitude greeted Him, spreading their garments and palm branches on His path, crying out: “Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.” Matthew 21:9.
- How often have I cried out in praise to You …then betrayed You in thought, word or deed? Make me a faithful follower, Lord! Help me to be true to You, not matter the cost!
- He went to the Temple…where He overturned the money changers, had His authority questioned by the religious leaders, and gave us the Great Commandment: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22: 37-40
- Have I truly embraced the love of God with all my being? Do I accept His love and share it freely with others? Will I allow Him to enlarge my heart to hold all those he gives to me to love?
- He shared with His disciples what would happen in the coming days. “You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.” Matthew 26:2
- Do I endure the pain and suffering that comes into my life, offering it to Him as a sweet sacrifice, or do I complain and murmur about all that I am going through, making myself and others miserable? I repent! Release me from such self centered and self serving attitudes, Lord!
- He presided at the Seder where He spoke of the wine as his Blood and the bread as his Body.
- Have I truly treasured being able to receive His Body and Blood? Help me to do so now, Lord!
- He suffered much anguish in the garden, left alone by His followers who fell asleep then deserted Him.
- Will You invite me… allow me… to spend time with You, Lord? Let me watch and wait with you, through every test and trial. With You by my side, Lord, I will come through every situation!
- He was betrayed, taken prisoner and brought to be tried before the High Priest
- Have I been a “judge” trying to convict to those who were sinless? Have I tried to find a flaw in them to disqualify them and make myself right, or put myself in a superior position to them?
- There were false witnesses called to testify against Him… “Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none.” Matthew 26:58-60
- Have I lied or attempted to “shade” circumstances in order to be right when I was wrong? Have others suffered because I would not face the truth? Help me ONLY to speak truth, Lord.
- He was taken before Pilate, who could find no fault in Him, but succumbed to fear and manipulation, and allowed the people to decide if He should be crucified.
- Deliver me from fear, Lord! Let me speak the truth in love and stand for what I know is right!
All these involve the examination of our own hearts…
.just as the Passover Lamb, Who had no blemish, was examined!
May we each be found faultless before Him as we prepare to celebrate his VICTORY over sin and death!
Jesus Christ – the true Passover Lamb…
“Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us”
