Friday, March 22, 2019 – 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call

“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”

1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #

We will not tolerate any demonic interference on the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call

We are taking measures to protect and defend our 24/7 family and this call. At the top of every hour,

the facilitator, in agreement with those on the line, will bind all forces of evil and cast them down into the abyss, then pray a shield of protection over the call and our 24/7 family!

*The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly

for the safety and security of our President and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!

We pray for the protection of our President Donald Trump and cover him with the Blood of Jesus.

We bless our First Lady, Melania, their young son Barron and each of their family members.

We cover our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family

and all those in this Administration who are serving You and our nation!”

The 24/7 NSPC is calling the Body of Christ nationwide to pray for the 2020 National Elections,

mobilizing intercessors and positioning ourselves in prayer before the Lord

on behalf of our President and nation!

COUNTDOWN: 592 days until the election!

Let us pray into this verse:

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

1 Peter 5:7

Strategic Focus for Friday

WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES

The “nones” – Part 1 – “Lack of Identity”

“...without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is,

and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Hebrews 11:6

At a time when earnest, faith-inspired intercession is so desperately needed for our nation, we are deeply saddened to learn that a growing number of Americans are declaring themselves to be atheist, agnostic or “nones”. Let’s look at the definitions of each of these groups:

  • Atheist – a person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of God, a non-believer.
  • Agnostic – a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God.
  • “None” – a person who says that they have “no particular religious identification”

When a group of people who identified as religiously unaffiliated Americans and had marked “none” as to affiliation on a recent survey, they were asked the question:

Why do you choose not to identify with a religion?”

  • The most common reason given was that they “questioned a lot of religious teachings”.
  • The second reason was opposition to the positions taken by churches on social and political issues.
  • The four remaining reasons were:
    • They disliked religious organizations
    • They didn’t believe in God
    • They considered religion irrelevant to them
    • They disliked religious leaders

We pray:

  • Lord, You and You Alone are TRUTH. Will You answer the questions in the hearts of those who don’t know You and “sanctify them in the truth; Your Word is truth.” John 17:17

Those who lack true identity, and say they are atheist, agnostic or “nothing in particular” tend to give different reasons / excuses for their lack of affiliation.

  • Atheists say that religion is simply “irrelevant” to them and that their lack of belief in God is a very important reason for their religious identity.
  • Religious “nones” say they are unaffiliated because of “questioning religious teachings”…but they also cite a lack of belief in God, and dislike the positions churches take on social and political issues.

We pray:

  • Father, loss of identity or never having known an identity is a crisis so many are faced with at this hour. Others things have taken “center stage”, occupying the place YOU and YOU ALONE deserve. Reveal Yourself to the lost, and save them from themselves, for “they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator.’ Romans 1:25

There are major differences among the three unaffiliated subgroups on this question as well

  • Atheists say the most important reason they are atheists is that they don’t believe in God.
  • Among self-described agnostics, the most important reason cited for being agnostic is the questioning of a lot of religious teachings.
  • While people who identify as “nothing in particular” give a variety of responses when asked about their most important reason for not affiliating with a religion – and no single reason predominates.

When religiously unaffiliated Americans (who were raised in a religion…and incidentally, who make up a majority of all religious “nones”) were asked to explain in their own words why they no longer identify with any religious group, there were a wide variety of responses, including that they are religious (though unaffiliated) or that they believe in God but don’t practice any religion at all.

We pray:

  • So many have never received the proper instruction at home or in church, and failed to encounter You as You desired them to! Come, Holy Spirit! Show them what it is to be in real relationship…with You and the family of God. “When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth.” John 16:13

America’s religious landscape continues to change…and we who are in Christ must recognize what is drawing our youth away and address it properly.

  • The number of religious “nones” (no religion) in the United States are catching up with the number of evangelicals.
  • White mainline Protestant and Catholic numbers have fallen slightly, but continue to be the largest two religious demographics in the US.

The number of religiously unaffiliated individuals in the United States is continuing to climb ~1% every two years ~ and it has done so for the past 15+ years. If current trends keep up, then they will be the largest group in the United States in the next five years

We pray:

  • That every curse that has been spoken over the people of this nation will be reversed, that all Americans will be lovers of truth, rejecting false witness and distortions of the truth, and that those who are wandering in darkness will see and come into the LIGHT!
  • For our 24/7 family, that we will not be moved by the lies and deceptive stories being perpetrated on the internet, social media or news, but will stand firm, believing God’s report, always!

The larger trends are most “instructive.”

  • Between 2003 and 2017, the % of adult Americans that profess “no religion” grew
  • At the same time, the white evangelical portion of the population has shrunk
  • The number of Americans who identified as Protestant (including evangelicals) is down
  • The share of those who identify as Catholics has held steady

We pray:

  • Father, we thank You for those who have held the line and stood for truth and righteousness, no matter what congregations they have come from. We pray for our brothers and sisters who have departed from faith. Restore and renew them, so they will return to You, God of our fathers, and to our Biblical roots.
  • That You would grant ALL Americans the ability to know Your true character, and to surrender to You, instead of condemning You for the mess that man has made of so called “religion”!

Specific Prayer Topic for Today

Praying for the Congress of the United States: Senate and House of Representatives

“It was for the love of the truths of this great Book {the Bible}

that our fathers abandoned their native shores for the wilderness.

Animated by its lofty principles, they toiled and suffered till the desert blossomed as a rose.

The same truths sustained them in their resolutions to become a free nation

and guided by the wisdom of this Book, they founded a government.”

President Zachary Taylor – February 21, 1849

We pray:

  • That the members of both Houses of our Legislative Branch will remember their history and those who gave their blood, sweat and tears to preserve the nation we have today! Let them be protective of it as well, and conduct themselves honorably as they serve in the 116th Congress of the United States!
