The Prophecy of the Twelve: A Reflection for Shabbat

“Then Jacob summoned his sons and said, 

“Assemble yourselves that I may tell you what will befall you in the days to come.”

Genesis 49:1

Strategic Targets for today: 

Today we will reflect on Jacob’s prophetic words over his twelve sons before his death. Come join in the story and see what lessons you can glean from this insightful prophecy of Israel as we enter into a time of Shabbat reflection. What lessons can we learn? How does this affect the Church today, and what could it teach us about how God deals with individual family lines? This is sometimes called the “Blessings Of Jacob”, but as you read through the passage you will find many of the words seem to be a curse more than a blessing. This is a powerful prophecy and one that reveals God’s detailed revelations for each tribe. 

Pray that we can understand the revelation that we each have a specific destiny before Father God. 

Pray that we know how to receive from Heaven.
