Jun 3, 2022 – Notes Shabbat Call

Jun 3, 2022 – Notes Shabbat Call

06-03-22 Notes from the “International SHABBAT Celebration”

24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call

7-10 PM ET 712-770-4340 code: 543555 #

As we entered into the call, Pastor Ioan reminded us that this weekend, we will be celebrating the Feast of Pentecost, the birth of the Church along with the Jewish Feast of SHAVUOT…which celebrates the giving of Torah on Mt Sinai. We prepare ourselves for tonight’s SHABBAT by receiving the Ephesians 6 armor of God that He has so graciously provided for us:

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,

against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,

and having done all, to stand.

 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.”

Ephesians 6:10-18

We prayed corporately to receive and wear the full armor of God, with dignity and grace that it deserves.

This weekend we observe the Feast of Shavuot – A/K/A Feast of Weeks / the Feast of Pentecost

15 “And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed.

16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.

17 You shall bring from your dwellings two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven. They are the firstfruits to the Lord.

18 And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs of the first year, without blemish, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be as a burnt offering to the Lord, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma to the Lord.

19 Then you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats as a sin offering, and two male lambs of the first year as a sacrifice of a peace offering.

20 The priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to the Lord for the priest.

21 And you shall proclaim on the same day that it is a holy convocation to you. You shall do no customary work on it. It shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

22 ‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field when you reap, nor shall you gather any gleaning from your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am the Lord your God.”

Leviticus 23:15-22

We were reminded of where and when the first SHAVUOT was celebrated. After the Israelites left Egypt, they traveled 50 days to Mt. Sinai, where Moses met with God and received the 10 Commandments. SHAVUOT celebrates God’s giving of the Torah (the Law) to His people on Mount Sinai, as well as the grain harvest for the summer.

Jewish tradition says that the souls of the Jews were so attracted to God, as His Glory flooded the atmosphere, that they could barely breathe. So He sent Torah to them, and the Kingdom of God was made manifest there on Mt. Sinai for the first time!

Years later, on the Feast of Pentecost, a similar thing took place, as they were filled with the Holy Spirit and released their prayer languages simultaneously! The CHURCH was born!

Jebel al Lawz, in Arabia – The Mountain of Moses.

The Kingdom of God was made manifest here on Mt. Sinai for the first time!

1 In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai.

2 For they had departed from Rephidim, had come to the Wilderness of Sinai, and camped in the wilderness. So Israel camped there before the mountain.

3 And Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

4 ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.

5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.

6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

7 So Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before them all these words which the Lord commanded him.

8 Then all the people answered together and said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” So Moses brought back the words of the people to the Lord.

9 And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever.” So Moses told the words of the people to the Lord.

10 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.

11 And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

12 You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, ‘Take heed to yourselves that you do not go up to the mountain or touch its base. Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.

13 Not a hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot with an arrow; whether man or beast, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come near the mountain.”

14 So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.

15 And he said to the people, “Be ready for the third day; do not come near your wives.”

16 Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.

17 And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

18 Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.

19 And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice.

20 Then the Lord came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

21 And the Lord said to Moses, “Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to gaze at the Lord, and many of them perish.

22 Also let the priests who come near the Lord consecrate themselves, lest the Lord break out against them.”

23 But Moses said to the Lord, “The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai; for You warned us, saying, ‘Set bounds around the mountain and consecrate it.’ ”

24 Then the Lord said to him, “Away! Get down and then come up, you and Aaron with you. But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to the Lord, lest He break out against them.”

25 So Moses went down to the people and spoke to them.

Exodus 19

Jebel al-Lawz (“Mountain of Almonds”) is in Saudi Arabia – and it is Mount Sinai.

We invited reflections about all that we have been sharing:

  • Tesi (FL) we have been taught that there was no sick among the Israelites as they exited Egypt and traveled through the desert…what about that?
    • Pastor Ioan said that was true, and even their clothes didn’t wear out. They had the cloud by day and the fire by night covering them…and His promises held, as long as they were in obedience to

God! This shows us what can happen when a nation obeys God and keeps His Word!

  • Mary Ellen (IL) while we were reading Leviticus 19, it was clear that it was a PERSON Who was speaking to us…and that gave me a new revelation.
    • Pastor Ioan said that GOD SPOKE TO THEM! Jesus reveals the Father to us. He is Adonai, the LORD, and the One Who later took on flesh and became man…Jesus, the Son of God! We see the same revelation in ourselves, for the Holy Spirit witnesses in us the truth about the Father and the Son!

We praised God and thanked Him for the beauty of His Word, that Jesus is the Word of God, and that He took on flesh and lived among us, showing us the way to the Father! We thanked God for the gift of the Spirit in our lives and then offered individual prayers.

  • Sharill (CO) prayed for us to see the value of what the Jews have preserved for us in the Torah!
  • Richard (AK) keep our hearts open to You, Lord, in every situation
  • Desiree (NY) Let us be ONE NEW MAN with the Jewish people as we celebrate Pentecost and SHAVUOT
  • Judy (VA) 50 days after their LIBERATION, You gave Your people the LAW, then 50 days after Your Resurrection, You gave Your Church the Spirit, Lord!

This is my desire, to honor You, Lord, with all my heart, I worship You

All I have within me, I give You praise. All that I adore Is in You…

Lord, I give You my heart I give You my soul, I live for you alone

And every breath that I take, every moment I’m awake, Lord, have Your way in me!

Acts 2

1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5 And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.

6 And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language.

7 Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born?

 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,

11 Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.”

12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”

13 Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.”

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words.

15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.

16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.

18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.

19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.

21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’

22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—

23 Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;

24 whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

25 For David says concerning Him:‘I foresaw the Lord always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.

26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.

27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

28 You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’

29 “Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, 31 he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.

32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

33 Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

34 “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:‘The Lord said to my Lord,“Sit at My right hand,

35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’

36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this [l]perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,

45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.

There’s nothing worth more, that will ever come close. Nothing can compare, You’re our living Hope.

Your Presence, Lord.

I’ve tasted and seen of the sweetest of love, when my heart becomes free and my shame is undone.

Your Presence, Lord.

Holy Spirit, You are welcome here. Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere.

Your glory God is what our hearts long for, to be overcome by Your Presence, Lord.

Let us become more aware of Your Presence. Let us experience the glory of Your goodness.

Let us become more aware of Your Presence. Let us experience the glory of Your goodness.

~~~
Draw me close to You, never let me go.
I’ll lay it all down again to hear you say that I’m Your friend.
You are my desire, no one else will do
‘cause nothing else can take your place, to feel the warmth of your embrace.
Help me find my way, lead me back to You!
You’re all I want! You’re all I ever needed! You’re all I want! Help me know You are near.
You’re all I want! You’re all I ever needed! You’re all I want! Help me know You are near.
Oh, Lord God of Israel, there is no God like Thee in the heavens,
There is no God like Thee in the earth, Oh Lord God of Israel!
Oh, Lord God of Israel, there is no God like Thee in the heavens,
There is no God like Thee in the earth, Oh Lord God of Israel!
That keepeth covenant and showeth mercy unto Thy servants that walk before Thee with all of their hearts!
Oh, Lord God of Israel, there is no God like Thee in the heavens,
There is no God like Thee in the earth, Oh Lord God of Israel!
~~~

When I look into Your holiness, when I gaze into Your loveliness,

when all things that surround become shadows in the light of You…

when I’ve found the joy of reaching Your heart, when my will becomes enthroned in Your love,

when all things that surround become shadows in the light of You…

I worship You! I worship You! The reason I live is to worship You!

I worship You! I worship You! The reason I live is to worship You!

~~~
Above all powers, above all kings, above all nature and all created things,
above all wisdom and all the ways of man, You were here before the world began.
Crucified and laid behind a stone, You lived to die, rejected and alone.
Like a rose trampled on the ground, You took the fall and thought of me above all.
Above all kingdoms, above all thrones, above all wonders the world has ever known,
above all wealth and treasures of the earth, there’s no way to measure what You’re worth.
Crucified and laid behind a stone, You lived to die, rejected and alone.
Like a rose trampled on the ground, You took the fall and thought of me above all.
Like a rose trampled on the ground, You took the fall and thought of me above all.
~~~

In moments like these I sing out a song, I sing out a love song to Jesus.

In moments like these I lift up my hands, I lift up my hands to the Lord.

Singing: I love You, Lord! Singing: I love You, Lord! Singing: I love You, Lord, I love You.

Singing: We love You, Lord! Singing: We love You, Lord! Singing: We love You, Lord, we love You.

Praise report from Beverly (CA) – The first round of chemo for Lindsay (who we prayed for on the Shabbat line recently) went better than they expected! So we’re praising God for His mercies! New every morning!

Prayer request from NSPC Advisor, George McBane (CO) – Our granddaughter Macy had a heart cath earlier this year, and needed another procedure this summer. Her mother wrote this, which explains it “Macy will have a heart cath on Monday, June 6, to place a new cutting-edge device in her heart that should dramatically improve her oxygen levels (from where they currently are in the low 70s to hopefully in the high 80s-low 90s). We are praying the process of the procedure is wonderfully smooth and uneventful, that the device placement has the desired effect into the indefinite future. We are also praying for a smooth transition onto some more intense blood thinners for the next 6 months (to make sure the device doesn’t attract unwanted clots in and around her heart) – this will involve quite a lot of pokes to check levels every week for a while. And, a seemingly silly request, but we would love to see her home and recovered enough to enjoy the last couple days of our church’s VBS – a bit of a long shot but God can do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, even in the small things.” Thank you so much for joining us in prayer for this special little girl God is ABLE! We prayed corporately for Macy!

~~~
We are God’s children, His priests and prophets, and we are now under the cloud of His Glory! We lift up the needs of our 24/7 family as we took individual prayer requests:
  • Maureen asked for prayer for her beloved daughter and husband. Their marriage is being assaulted by addictive forces that are taking a toll. Her son in love needs to be set free, so the marriage and family can be restored! We prayed for deliverance for him, and for the Holy Spirit to come and bring righteousness, and a conviction of the addiction, so that he can be set free to walk in the right relationship with Christ! Let him rise up to be a man who is accountable for his own life and for his family’s life! We also prayed for her daughter to be strengthened and to continue to be a fighter, not giving up on him or their marriage. We ask that their God-given destiny be fulfilled and that they will serve the Lord together with their two sons!
  • Pastor Ioan asked how long this has been an issue for them, and Maureen said over 5 years.
He then asked how long we have been doing this 24/7 NSPC? 5½ years!
  • He remarked: If the enemy can’t get to us, he goes after our loved ones!
  • We prayed to break the power of the enemy over all of our loved ones, and set them free!
Others offered prayers:
  • Ydia (FL) I have known about her daughter for many years, and ask for protection for her and her husband
Give her daughter the grace to fall in love again with him, as it was before!
  • Richard (AK) lifted up her son in love, asking God to help him get to the root of his problem and cut it off.
  • Diane (MT) prayed for Maureen’s daughter and son in law, and asked that their marriage be restored
  • Audrey (CA) “Draw me and we will run after you.” S of S Cover Maureen‘s family and let them be drawn to God with cords of love.
  • Joan (AZ) give him a heart of forgiveness toward his parents so there will be no impediment to his deliverance. Let her daughter feel the warmth of your comfort, and their children as well!
Pastor Ioan asked us to pray for Maureen’s two grandsons to have encounters with the Lord that will enable them to fight for their family.
  • Bev (MT) prayed for them in that respect
We then invited prayer requests from other participants:
  • Susan (GA) is dealing with a similar situation, with alcohol being consumed by her husband daily, and also affecting their adult children and their families.
    • We prayed corporately for Bob to have an encounter with the Lord, for deliverance, an outpouring of the Spirit in his life, and a new start for him.
    • We prayed for Susan, to strengthen and encourage her, and keep her in His gripo, through it all!
Pastor Ioan gave us a word of knowledge, about people on the call struggling with anxiety, discouragement, and even a desire to run away from their situations.
  • Sheryl (CA) struggling with continual headaches and battling – it’s serious spiritual warfare
  • Cynthia (MS) what we are praying about is trauma and it needs to be released from the mind, body and spirit. * See copy of A Prayer for Releasing Trauma From The Mind, Body Spirit at end of the notes!
  • Maureen (MO) they are celebrating their 35th anniversary Monday, and their marriage has been an up and down cycle for all these years. Her husband needs to be released from the cycle. Her adult son has panic attacks and is away from the Lord.
  • Anita (NJ) fed up dealing with a movement disorder for 15 years, and not getting sleep. The devil is coming against her finishing a worship album, and it’s unbearable!
We pressed in, speaking to the Lord about the above needs, asking Him to resolve every issue, heal every area in need, break every chain, and set the captives free.
As we concluded this prayer for one another (in the microcosm), we extended that prayer for our nation (to the macrocosm). It has the same issues that need to be dealt with. He reminded us of the words of Tommy Tenney, who exhorted us to fight for our families, our children and grandchildren. As we approach Pentecost, we are so painfully aware of how much in need we are of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all flesh! We prayed into that!
We then prayed for President Trump to experience an outpouring of the Spirit that will lead and guide him in all he says and does.
We sang:
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here. Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere.
Your glory God is what our hearts long for, to be overcome by Your Presence, Lord.
We prayed:
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion,
to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
Isaiah 61:1-3
We took communion together, and rejoiced in being able to share in SHAVUOT and PENTECOST together!
With love and blessings to all!
SHABBAT SHALOM!
Maureen and Pastor Ioan
