Thursday, June 18, 2020 – The 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call
“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”
1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 # (Ongoing call…24 hours a day!)
We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God! Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
John 8:12
We sing: Shine, Jesus, Shine
Lord, the light of Your love is shining, in the midst of the darkness, shining.
Jesus, Light of the World, shine upon us. Set us free by the truth you now bring us.
Shine on me, shine on me!.
Shine, Jesus, shine! Fill this land with the Father’s glory.
Blaze, Spirit, blaze! Set our hearts on fire.
Flow, river, flow! Flood the nations with grace and mercy.
Send forth your Word, Lord, and let there be light.
Lord, I come to your awesome Presence from the shadows into your radiance.
By the blood I may enter your brightness. Search me, try me, consume all my darkness.
Shine on me, shine on me!
Shine, Jesus, shine! Fill this land with the Father’s glory.
Blaze, Spirit, blaze! Set our hearts on fire.
Flow, river, flow! Flood the nations with grace and mercy.
Send forth your Word, Lord, and let there be light.
As we gaze on your kingly brightness, so our faces display your likeness
Ever changing from glory to glory, mirrored here may our lives tell your story
Shine on me, shine on me!
Shine, Jesus, shine! Fill this land with the Father’s glory.
Blaze, Spirit, blaze! Set our hearts on fire.
Flow, river, flow! Flood the nations with grace and mercy.
Send forth your Word, Lord, and let there be light.

The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for our President’s protection and cover him with the Blood of Jesus.
Let him respond to every situation by the leading of the Holy Spirit!
We refer those to You who are plotting and planning the demise of our beloved President!
We say “No!” to them and ask that You expose and foil all their plans! Thank You, Lord!
We pray that the “elite medical establishment” will no longer block our doctors from prescribing hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for the coronavirus. Let the doctors be free to practice as You lead!
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.
We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family
and all those serving in this Administration.
We pray for the mass media, which is being used and exploited by the “father of lies.”
We ask that it either reverses course and reports accurately or be taken down.
We pray for the Federal Reserve Board members, to use their power to boost our nation’s economy.
Let them act in accord with what is good for the USA!
The 24/7 NSPC is praying for the 2020 National Elections,
positioning ourselves in intercession before the Lord on behalf of our President and nation!
COUNTDOWN: 139 days until the election!
Let us pray into this verse:
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
John 1:5
Strategic Focus for Thursday
WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!
REVIVE US AGAIN!
“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.’
1 John 1:5-7
America has been in agony, experiencing violence, pain, and deep sorrow in the throes of a wave of insurrection that is intended to root up and destroy our very foundations! While intercessors are on the wall, many believers are either asleep, unaware or disinterested in engaging in this battle for the soul of our nation! The radical left is “walking in darkness”…attempting to “divide and conquer” along economic, social and ethnic lines, vandals are being paid to loot and set fire to our business communities, and anarchists are defiling national memorials and tearing down statues that call us to remember our past history. Sadly, many are totally ignorant of these words of wisdom:
“History is not there for you to like or dislike. It is there for you to learn from it.
If it offends you, then you are less likely to repeat it! It is not yours to erase. It belongs to all of us!”
Our President has his hands full with what is taking place in states with weak, spineless, elected officials who refuse to take action to stamp out the insurrection that is harming their citizens and communities. Not only that, it is giving an incentive to insurrectionists in other cities to ponder using the same strategies, hoping to get away with them as well!
This heinous activity must be stopped in its tracks before it can spread any further! The rebels must believe that they will not be allowed to wreak havoc on the streets of our cities and that any attempts to break the law or destroy property or set fires, much less, taking over parts of a city to create their own “God-free zones” will be met with the full force of the law and appropriate punishments! The verse above says: “light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it”. In this case, it is being fully rejected by corrupt politicos who are “in bed” with the socialists, willing to see their own cities fall in order to defeat President Trump in November and bring in the “new order”.
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”
Proverbs 29:2
We pray:
- That God will continue to bless and direct our President as he “navigates these troubled waters”! Pray.
- That the people of this nation will see the LIGHT and turn back to God, and remove unrighteous officials and replace them with Godly leaders who will love and serve them as God desires. Pray.
As we weep over our nation, many question if it has ever been this bad. Although we can not help but see all the wickedness running rampant, we must take time to refocus and take a look at what God has done and will do, as His people follow the exhortation of scripture and engage in concerted, united, sustained prayer. Dr. A.T.Pierson said:
“There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin in united prayer.”
Look back at one of the dark moments in American history, at a period of time following the Revolution (1776-1781), and you will see that our nation was in a true “moral slump”. Bank robberies were a daily occurrence, drunkenness became epidemic, the use of profanity was both common and shocking, and for the first time in the history of the American settlement, women were afraid to go out at night for fear of assault. It seemed to those who loved the Lord that things couldn’t get much worse!
We pray:
- That we will preserve our past in order to learn from it, and realize God moved then… and He will now! Pray.
During that time of upheaval, what was happening with the churches? John Marshall, the Chief Justice of the United States, wrote to Bishop James Madison of Virginia that the Church “was too far gone ever to be redeemed.’” Tomas Paine assessed that “Christianity will be forgotten in thirty years.”
- The Methodists reported losing more members than they were gaining.
- The Baptists said that they had their most “wintry’ season.
- The Presbyterians in general assembly deplored the nation’s ungodliness.
- In a typical Congregational church, the Rev. Samuel Shepherd of Lennox, Massachusetts, in sixteen years had not taken one young person into fellowship.
- The Lutherans were so languishing that they even discussed uniting with Episcopalians, who were even worse off.
- The Protestant Episcopal Bishop of New York, Bishop Samuel Provost, quit functioning. He had confirmed no one for so long that he decided he was “out of work”, so he took up other employment.
And how about Christian schools?
Christians were so few on campus in the 1790s that they had to meet in secret, and they kept their minutes in code so that anyone who discovered them wouldn’t know what they said!
- A poll taken at Harvard discovered there was not one believer in the whole student body.
- At Princeton, a “much more evangelical place,” they discovered only two believers in the entire student body
- Only five of Princeton students did not belong to the “filthy speech movement” of that day.
- Students rioted.
- They held a mock communion at Williams College.
- They put on anti-Christian plays at Dartmouth.
- They burned down the Nassau Hall at Princeton.
- They forced the resignation of the president of Harvard.
- They took a Bible out of a local Presbyterian church in New Jersey, and burned it in a public bonfire.
We pray:
- That we will know that “nothing is impossible” when God is “conducting” our spiritual warfare. Pray.
- That our churches will be cleansed of all complacency and indifference, and we will arise as one BODY to confront and deal with the enemy’s plans for this nation! Pray.
- That our education system will be overhauled and brought back into line with the purposes of God, so those from K-12 and those in college will have the education that will serve as foundation for a life of HOPE! Pray.
HOW DID THE SITUATION CHANGE? PRAYER!
The First Great Awakening (1730-1755). Concerted prayer impacted society dramatically and resulted in a revival which was called the First Great Awakening. It was a precursor to the War of Independence and instrumental in the development of democratic concepts during the American Revolution. As Biblical equalities were preached – all men are equal, all can be saved, and true worth is not based upon class – old hierarchical structures of society (king, elite and commoner, deference given to the privileged class) began to erode.
Scottish theologian and Presbyterian minister John Erskine published a “Memorial”, in which he pleaded with the people of Scotland and elsewhere to unite in prayer for the revival of religion. He sent one copy of this little book to Jonathan Edwards in New England, who is considered to be one of America’s most respected theologians. Edwards was so moved by Erskine’s work that he wrote a response which was later published as a book entitled:
“A Humble Attempt to Promote Explicit Agreement and Visible Union of all God’s People in Extraordinary Prayer for the Revival of Religion and the Advancement of Christ’s Kingdom on Earth, pursuant to Scripture Promises and Prophecies”
Edwards’ scholarly works helped fuel the Great Awakening during which thousands came to Christ! He also authored what was perhaps the most famous sermon in American history, “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.”
We pray:
- That the same power of God that impacted people when the WORD was preached by Jonathan Edwards and others who loved God with all their hearts, will be poured out on the church at this hour, and that we will arise with a holy boldness to share the love of God with all we encounter! Pray.
“Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!”
The Second Great Awakening (1792-1800) This awakening started in England through a group called the Union of Prayer. It began the year after John Wesley died, in 1792 and swept through all of Great Britain. In 1794, when conditions were at their worst, Isaac Backus, a Baptist pastor in New England and a man of prayer, addressed an urgent plea for prayer for revival to pastors of every Christian denomination in the United States. Since all the churches’ backs were to the wall, all the congregations adopted his plan. America, like England, was interlaced with a network of prayer meetings, which set aside the first Monday of each month to pray. It was not long before revival came. Pray.
Then a Scotch-Irish Presbyterian minister, James McGready settled there; he pastored three little churches and wrote in his diary that the winter of 1799, for the most part, was “weeping and mourning with the people of God.” Lawlessness prevailed everywhere.
At that time, on America’s frontier (KY), McGready, a man of prayer, promoted concerts of prayer every first Monday of the month and had his people pray for him at sunset on Saturday evening and at sunrise Sunday morning. In the summer of 1800, the great Kentucky revival took place! Eleven thousand people came to a communion service! McGready had to ask other pastors for help, without regard to their denomination. It was ONE BODY! Pray.
Out of that second great awakening, came the whole modern missionary movement and its societies. It led to the abolition of slavery, popular education, Bible Societies, Sunday Schools, and many social benefits accompanying the evangelistic drive.
Some ask: WILL GOD DO IT AGAIN? CAN REVIVAL BREAK OUT AFFECTING ALL AREAS OF THIS COUNTRY?
Are we ready TO PRAY, UNUSUAL PRAYER, UNITED PRAYER? Can we raise praying men, women, children and youth, and initiate prayer groups in our churches? IF WE WILL PRAY, GOD WILL DO IT AGAIN!
The critical elements that will usher in this next great awakening are radical holiness, unity, and the perfection of love…swaddled in a garment of extraordinary and unusual prayer. Let’s get on the wall and stay there! HalleluYah!
We pray:
- That throughout this nation, Your people in every state will lift Your name up high, singing praises and worshiping You, our Lord and King, then move out into the fields that are ripe for harvest! Pray.
- That every one of the 24/7 State Strategic Prayer Calls that are being launched will be blessed as the courageous intercessors stand their ground and love their states into wholeness! Pray.
- That we of the 24/7 family will continue to “walk in the light as He is in the light, and have fellowship with one another” as we serve Your purposes, fulfill our destiny and see the great harvest in the revival which has now begun and is spreading across this nation! Pray.
- That we will see a great VICTORY for righteousness and justice in November as our President is reelected by a landslide! Pray.
