The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for our President’s protection and cover him with the Blood of Jesus.
Let him respond to every situation by the leading of the Holy Spirit!
We refer those to You who are plotting and planning the demise of our beloved President!
We say “No!” to them and ask that You expose and foil all their plans! Thank You, Lord!
We pray for ourselves and our loved ones, and put on the full armor of God!
We pray for the coronavirus to be taken down by Almighty God…no second wave…no more spikes…
just the full and complete destruction of the virus in the United States!
We pray that the “elite medical establishment” will no longer block our doctors from prescribing hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for the coronavirus. Let the doctors be free to practice as You lead!
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.
We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family
and all those serving in this Administration.
We pray for the mass media, which is being used and exploited by the “father of lies.”
We ask that it either reverses course and reports accurately, or be taken down.
We pray for the Federal Reserve Board members, to use their power to boost our nation’s economy.
Let them act in accord with what is good for the USA!
We continue to pray that the President will not agree to any division of the Holy Land!
The 24/7 NSPC is praying for the 2020 National Elections, positioning ourselves in intercession
before the Lord, asking for a LANDSLIDE VICTORY for President Donald John Trump!

Praying for our Upcoming National Elections – National Defense
“When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace.”
Luke 11:21
Today’s focus on national defense will inform us of the positions taken by the two political parties, and should really fuel our intercession regarding our upcoming elections. Again, we thank Pierre Bynum of the Family Research Council for the use of this material, and we bless him and the God-honoring ministry of FRC.
“Arms in the hands of citizens may be used at individual discretion for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny, or private self-defense.” – John Adams, 2nd President of the United States of America
Today’s topic is National Defense. We begin with what the Bible says about this issue:
In the book of Romans, Paul says that the governing authority is “God’s minister to you for good” and reminds us: “But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. .”
Romans 13:4
- The “sword” in the hand of government is used to defeat evildoers, whether that be foreign invaders or those with evil intentions from within a nation. Determining when war is “appropriate” is a difficult question, one that has led Christian theologians and scholars to develop what is called “just war criteria.”
These criteria raise questions about whether a military action is:
a just cause, a just intention, the last resort, a formal declaration, and whether it has limited objectives.
During warfare, two additional criteria are relevant: proportionate means and noncombatant immunity.
- Christians have had different views about whether they can participate in a war. They can be generally summarized under three categories:
- Activism – it is always right to participate in war;
- Pacifism – it is never right to participate in war;
- Selectivism – it is right to participate in some wars.
Most Christians fit into the third category and therefore consider the “just war criteria.”
“There is a time for war, and a time for peace.”
Ecclesiastes 3:8
Sometimes war is necessary. When a burglar breaks into a home and threatens a family, they have every right to defend themselves. Going to war to defend a nation is no different. Many thousands of Christians have engaged in war throughout this nation’s history, “taking up the sword” to defend our sovereign nation and preserve our freedoms. We pray:
- In gratitude for the untold number who have served and sacrificed their lives, in order to protect our freedoms and to preserve “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”. Pray.
- That neither “hawks” nor “doves” will control the decision of how we are to protect and defend this nation. Let that be decided by Godly leaders who follow right consciences as they consult the Lord and consider whether it meets the criteria of a “just war” Pray.
- That the USA will never enter into battle unless our cause is just, and when we do, let us be victorious. Pray.
As we begin to compare the two-party platforms regarding National Defense, we see that there is no “spectrum” (or range of differences between these two opposite viewpoints). There are just two perspectives: those that are righteous and just, and those that are not! These platforms clearly reflect the hearts and intentions of those who are in Christ and those who are not! Let us read and affirm the following planks by saying: AMEN!.
Where the Parties Stand on the issue of National Defense
Republican Party Platform
The Republican Party is “committed to rebuilding the U.S. military into the strongest on earth, with vast superiority over any other nation or group of nations in the world.” If you agree, please say AMEN!
“We reject the use of the military as a platform for social experimentation and will not accept or continue attempts to undermine military priorities and mission readiness. Military readiness should not be sacrificed on the altar of political correctness.” If you agree, please say AMEN!
“Radical Islamic terrorism poses an existential threat to personal freedom and peace around the world…The Republican Party stands united with all victims of terrorism and will fight at home and abroad to destroy terrorist organizations and protect the lives and fundamental liberties of all people.” If you agree, please say AMEN!
“We oppose the adoption or ratification of treaties that would weaken or encroach upon American sovereignty or that could be construed by courts to do so. We will not recognize as binding upon the United States any international agreement forged without the constitutionally required assent of two-thirds of the United States Senate.” If you agree, please say AMEN!
“We recognize Jerusalem as the eternal and indivisible capital of the Jewish state. We reaffirm America’s commitment to Israel’s security and will ensure that Israel maintains a qualitative military edge over any and all adversaries. We reject the false notion that Israel is an occupier and specifically recognize that the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions Movement (BDS) is anti-Semitic in nature and seeks to destroy Israel.” If you agree, please say AMEN!
“America has a sacred trust with our veterans, and we are committed to ensuring them and their families’ care and dignity…that includes allowing veterans to choose to access care in the community and not just in VA facilities, because the best care in the world is not effective if it is not accessible.” If you agree, please say AMEN!
“To protect our national security interests and foster innovation and competitiveness, we must sustain our preeminence in space by launching more scientific missions, guaranteeing unfettered access, and ensuring that our space-related industries remain a source of scientific leadership and education.”If you agree, please say AMEN!
“We do not support the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty as well as various declarations from the UN Conference on Environment and Development…We emphatically reject U.N. Agenda 21…and we oppose any form of Global Tax.” If you agree, please say AMEN!
The Republican Party does not accept the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court…Our service members must be subject only to American law. If you agree, please say AMEN!
We pray:
- Lord, our hearts swell as we read the planks of this platform which stands for righteousness and justice and the preservation of that which is good and true and honorable. We bless and affirm it! Pray.
- That You will preserve the might of our military, keeping it uncompromised by political correctness or “social experimentation”. Pray.
- That we will stand against radical Islamic terrorism and refuse to enter into treaties that are detrimental to our nation’s best interests. Pray.
- That we will honor our pledges, by remaining aligned with and supporting Israel, caring for our veterans, and pressing forward to protect our national security interests, particularly in space-related areas. Pray.
- That the US will remain sovereign, and that we will not tolerate any infringement by the UN globalists. Pray.
Now, we contrast that with the points on the Democrat’s platform. We must “read between the lines” and discern the ways that the globalists and socialists have seized control of the party, in an attempt to advance their godless agenda and take over this nation!
Democratic Party Platform
“Democrats believe that global institutions – most prominently the United Nations – and multilateral organizations have a powerful role to play and are an important amplifier of American strength and influence.” Lord, we reject globalism and any and all outside control of our nation…in Jesus’ Name. Response: AMEN!
“We support the nuclear agreement with Iran because, as it is vigorously enforced and implemented, it verifiably cuts off all of Iran’s pathways to a bomb without resorting to war.” Lord, we reject this agreement with Iran and stand with our President against it…in Jesus’ Name. Response: AMEN!
“Democrats are committed to preventing the spread of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and to eventually ridding the planet of these catastrophic weapons. We believe America will be safer in a world with fewer weapons of mass destruction.” Let no ploy of the enemy cause us to disarm and be left vulnerable…in Jesus’ Name. Response: AMEN!
“We believe our military should be the best-trained, best-equipped fighting force in the world, and that we must do everything we can to honor and support our veterans. And we know that only the United States can mobilize common action on a truly global scale, to take on the challenges that transcend borders, from international terrorism to climate change to health pandemics.” We reject the idea of global military and will maintain our national sovereignty…in Jesus’ Name. Response: AMEN!
“We are proud of the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and we commit ourselves to ensuring fair treatment for LGBT veterans, including by proactively reviewing and upgrading discharge records for veterans who were dis-charged because of their sexual orientation. Our military is strongest when people of all races, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities are honored for their service to our country.” Lord, we reject the “politically correct,” forced inclusion of homosexuals in our military…in Jesus’ Name. Response: AMEN!
“We will strengthen the push for the ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and stop the spread of loose nuclear material…be informed by a new Nuclear Posture Review …with the aim of reducing our reliance on nuclear weapons while meeting our national security obligations.” Let us remain well-armed, as a deterrent to our enemies…in Jesus’ Name. Response: AMEN!
“Climate change poses an urgent and severe threat to our national security…According to the military, climate change is a threat multiplier that is already contributing to new conflicts over resources, catastrophic natural disasters, and the degradation of vital ecosystems across the globe.” For the exposure of every false claim having to do with “climate change”…in Jesus’ Name. Response: AMEN!
“A strong Israel is vital to the United States …we will always support Israel’s right to defend itself, including by retaining its qualitative military edge, and oppose any effort to delegitimize Israel, including at the United Nations or through the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions Movement. We will continue to work toward a two-state solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict…While Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations, it should remain the capital of Israel, an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.” We say “NO” to any division of the land of Israel. The “final status” is what God has decreed… and is not negotiable…in Jesus’ Name. Response: AMEN!
We now conclude with the 4th stanza of our National Anthem, which addresses the matter of national defense:
“O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand between their lov’d home and the war’s desolation! Blest with vict’ry and peace may the heav’n rescued land praise the power that hath made and preserv’d us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: “In God is our trust,” And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
