“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”
1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #
We have received several warnings about pending threats against the 24/7 call. We will not tolerate any demonic interference! We are taking measures to protect as well as to defend our 24/7 family and the call. At the top of every hour, the facilitator will take the first 3 minutes to bind all forces of evil and cast them down into the abyss. They will then pray a shield of protection over the call and our 24/7 family!
*The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly
for the safety and security of our President and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for the protection of our President, Donald Trump and cover him with the Blood of Jesus.
Thank You for instructing and guiding him, giving him wisdom through Your Holy Spirit.
We bless his wife, our First Lady, Melania, their young son Barron and each of their family members.
We also cover our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family with that Precious Blood,
and include all those in the Trump Administration who are serving You and our nation! Thank You, Father!
Strategic Focus for Thursday
WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES
The President’s State of the Union Address
“Obey those who have the rule over you and submit yourselves, for they keep watch over your souls as ones who must give an account, that they may do it with joy and not with grief, for that is unprofitable for you.”
Hebrews 13:17
State of the Union / January 2018
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dug in Wednesday on her call to delay the State of the Union address, sending a curt letter to President Trump, making clear she will not allow the event to take place during the government shutdown. Reacting to Pelosi’s letter, the President told reporters that we’ll do something in the alternative, suggesting the speech will still happen next week. Hours earlier, Trump had told Pelosi he was still planning to deliver the address from the House floor, and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy introduced a resolution to allow the State of the Union to go forward as planned on January 29th. But, Pelosi makes the final call, and she fired back with a letter to Trump saying she would not consider a “concurrent resolution,” which is needed to allow the use of the chamber for the State of the Union.
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people mourn.
Proverbs 29:2
We pray:
- For all patriotic Americans to rise up and stand against all who want to destroy our nation from within.
The following are the two letters exchanged yesterday between Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and President Trump over the scheduling of next week’s State of the Union address. In her letter, Pelosi signaled to Trump that she will not allow him to deliver next week’s scheduled address from the House floor.
Dear Mr. President:
When I extended an invitation on January 3rd for you to deliver the State of the Union address, it was on the mutually agreed upon date, January 29th. At that time, there was no thought that the government would still be shut down.
In my further correspondence of January 16th, I said we should work together to find a mutually agreeable date when government has re-opened and I hope that we can still do that.
I am writing to inform you that the House of Representatives will not consider a concurrent resolution authorizing the President’s State of the Union address in the House Chamber until government has opened.
Again, I look forward to welcoming you to the House on a mutually agreeable date for this address when government has been opened.
Sincerely,
Nancy Pelosi
Earlier in the day, President Trump said he was still planning to deliver the address from the House.
Dear Madam Speaker:
Thank you for your letter of January 3, 2019, sent to me after the long Shutdown began, inviting me to address the Nation on January 29th as to the State of the Union. As you know, I had already accepted your kind invitation, however, I then received another letter from you dated January 16th, 2019, wherein you expressed concerns regarding security during the State of the Union Address due to the Shutdown. Even prior to asking, I was contacted by the Department of Homeland Security and the United States Secret Service to explain that there would be absolutely no problem regarding security with respect to the event. They have since confirmed this publicly.
Accordingly, there are no security concerns regarding the State of the Union Address. Therefore, I will be honoring your invitation, and fulfilling my Constitutional duty, to deliver important information to the people and Congress of the United States of America regarding the State of our Union.
I look forward to seeing you on the evening on January 29th in the Chamber of the House of Representatives. It would be so very sad for our Country if the State of the Union were not delivered on time, on schedule, and very importantly, on location!
Sincerely,
Donald J. Trump
We pray:
- For the removal of Nancy Pelosi as House Speaker. How dare she refuse to allow the President into the House Chamber of the US Congress! That is the People’s House…and 61 Million people voted for and elected Donald Trump as President of the United States. They have the right to hear the State of the Union message addressed from that podium by the President.
The White House has been readying a “Plan B”, preparing for two tracks for next week’s speech, in case Pelosi
moved to block the speech in the House chamber. The preferred track is the address at the Capitol. The second one is the backup plan, a speech outside of Washington, DC.
President Trump said: “The State of the Union speech has been canceled because she doesn’t want to hear the truth. She’s afraid of the truth.” Last week, Pelosi had urged Trump to delay his State of the Union address until the partial government shutdown ends, or suggested he submit his State of the Union address in writing. (NOTE: The SOTU address has not always been delivered in person. Thomas Jefferson started the practice of submitting it in writing, and under Woodrow Wilson’s administration, it was delivered in person once again.)
Homeland Security has been preparing for months for the State of the Union event and said they are ready, declaring that despite the fact that members of the Secret Service are not being paid, their protective mission has not changed. Both the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Secret Service are continuing their plans for a State of the Union on January 29th, and, knowing Pelosi might try to “play politics” by blocking it in the House, they had suggested the President move the location of the speech.
The partial government shutdown began on December 22, over the President’s request for $5.7 billion in funding for border security, including the construction of a border wall or physical barrier along the US-Mexico border. President Trump cited the national security issues and the fact that we had a “humanitarian crisis” on our hands, but the Democrats refuse to support funding a wall!
We pray:
- For all those who are standing with our President, despite their own personal sacrifices during this shutdown! Bless the DHS and Secret Service agents mightily, Lord!
Let’s take a look at the history of this tradition, as our President prepares his 2019 State of the Union address.
The State of the Union is a yearly speech by the US President in front of the two houses of Congress, in which he shares his views on the state of the nation and presents his legislative goals for the year. It is a late January tradition, and its roots go all the way back to the nation’s founding. Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution states that the President “shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.”
- George Washington fulfilled this particular presidential duty on January 8, 1790, when he addressed the
new Congress in the Senate Chamber of Federal Hall in New York City (then the US Capitol).
- Thomas Jefferson, the third president, chose to give his annual message to Congress in writing rather than make the trek to the Capitol—kicking off a tradition that would last nearly a century.
- In 1913, Woodrow Wilson bucked that tradition. Shortly after his inauguration, Wilson went to Capitol Hill to make a speech about tariffs, becoming the first president since John Adams to presume to address Congress directly, on its own turf. He then returned in December to give the first modern State of the Union address (though it wasn’t officially called that until Franklin D. Roosevelt’s presidency).
Our US Constitution enacted a deliberate separation of powers between the three branches of the federal government, tasking the legislative branch with making the nation’s laws, the executive branch with enforcing them and the judicial branch with interpreting and applying them. Wilson, a Progressive Democrat, believed the nation would benefit from a more active, visible president working alongside Congress in the lawmaking process and chose to deliver his annual message directly to Congress, seeking to redefine the president’s role. Since Wilson, all presidents (except Herbert Hoover) have chosen to go before Congress to deliver their annual messages, though some presidents reverted to a written message at times. With the advent of radio, television and the Internet, the State of the Union has become an even bigger opportunity for presidents to speak directly to Americans, including highlighting achievements and outlining future priorities and policies.
An estimated 48 million people watched President Trump’s first address to a joint session of Congress in February 2017, considered the first-term equivalent of the State of the Union.
We pray:
- Removal all those who are enemies of this nation, who have destroyed the Democratic party!
This picture, from the US Office of War Information files in the National Archives, is of President Roosevelt
delivering his war message on December 8, 1941, the day after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.
The President doesn’t just show up to deliver the State of the Union. The speaker of the House of Representatives sends him a written invitation to appear before the two houses of Congress. After traveling by motorcade from the White House to the Capitol, the President enters the House Chamber, where members of Congress, Justices of the Supreme Court, members of the President’s Cabinet and the Diplomatic Corps and invited guests are waiting. It is customary for Supreme Court justices to sit front and center, dressed in their official black robes, during the State of the Union.
After the Sergeant-at-Arms announces his entrance, the President makes his speech, with the top members of Congress – the Vice President and the Speaker of the House – seated behind him. During and after the speech, members of the President’s own party often stand and applaud, while members of the opposition party usually stay seated. At the end of the State of the Union, the President often closes with the statement: “The state of the Union is strong.”
“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test
he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12
We pray:
- For a tremendously successful SOTU address and for the favor of God to be upon the President as he speaks, so that those listening will see the GLORY on him and pay attention! Draw them to You, Lord, through him!
- Lord, eliminate the influence and authority of all liberals, progressives, globalists, and socialists from the US Congress…and every other part of our government!
