The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for our President’s protection and cover him with the Blood of Jesus, as he passes through difficult moments of his Presidency. Let him respond to every situation by the leading of the Holy Spirit!
We refer those to You who are plotting and planning the demise of our beloved President!
We say “No!” to them and ask that You expose and foil all their plans! Thank You, Lord!
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.
We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family,
and all those serving in this Administration.
We pray for the Federal Reserve Board members, to use their power to boost our nation’s economy.
Let them no longer resist our President’s requests to act in accord with what is good for the USA!
The 24/7 NSPC is praying for the 2020 National Elections,
positioning ourselves in intercession before the Lord on behalf of our President and nation!
COUNTDOWN: 256 days until the election!

Strategic Focus for Saturday
WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
No “Cheap Grace”
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that,
denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age…”
Titus 2:11-12
Many of us have heard the following hymn, often sung as people made their way down an aisle to publicly profess their faith in Jesus Christ and receive salvation…
“Grace, grace, God’s grace, grace that will pardon and cleanse within’.
Grace, grace, God’s grace, grace that is greater than all our sin.”
God’s grace is His free, unmerited favor, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings. It is sacred…precious…and ”bought at a price”…not to be taken lightly. Mario Murillo recently wrote an article addressing the topic of grace, and used what happened to our First President, George Washington, (whose actual birthday we remember today), as an example of something that he feels desperately needs to be said to the American church today! Washington died because back then, doctors believed in “bleeding” sick patients. After riding in snowy weather, Washington developed a fever and respiratory distress. Under the care of his three physicians, he had copious amounts of blood drawn…and he died the next night. Washington was already weak from his sickness, and by draining the blood out of a man weakened by pneumonia, the doctors made him weaker and finally killed him. “Life is in the blood”…and bleeding him and diminishing his strength was the worst thing they could have done.
Murillo says that there is something that is “bleeding” an already weakened church…setting us up for destruction. It’s called “cheap grace”. From satan’s point of view, it’s the perfect “theology” through which he can cause the church to implode! In his 1937 book, The Cost of Discipleship, German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, defined “cheap grace” as “the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, communion without confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ.”
Any call to salvation must include a call to repentance and an exhortation to living a holy life…which has nothing to do with “cheap grace”. Notice what is emphasized in Bonhoeffer’s definition of “cheap grace” and what is de-emphasized.
- With “cheap grace”, the emphasis is on the benefits of Christianity without the costs involved; hence, the adjective “cheap”. Instead of a preaching life-giving conviction and inspiring the will to fight for what is right, this perverted doctrine induces apathy that causes people to sit on the sidelines and “zone out”.
We pray:
- That we would understand the meaning of and acknowledge this precious and “costly grace”. Bonhoeffer called it “the treasure hidden in the field… the pearl of great price… the call of Jesus Christ at which the disciple leaves his nets and follows Him”. Such grace is costly because, it cost God the life of his Son…and what has cost God so much cannot be cheap for us.
We in the United States have been graced…blessed…by the election of Donald Trump. It was a miracle…and it was meant to awaken and ignite the Body of Christ. The church – the Ekklesia – MUST respond properly to the “costly grace” that has been extended to us…and arise to lead our nation in honoring and obeying God. If we fail to do so, our heroic President’s time in office can be cut short and those godless individuals who seek to “remove and replace” him would reverse and render ineffective all that he has thus far accomplished…and we will end up worse than we began! Despite some people’s disapproval of his tweets and “off the cuff” remarks, he was (and remains) the right choice to lead this nation. Our responsibility is to align ourselves with God on behalf of this nation and to continue to pray for him. We dare not step back or abandon him, for he needs our prayers and support now more than ever!
We pray:
- That the church, in every part of our country, would recognize that God has placed Donald Trump in position to lead this nation at this hour and arise to stand for and with him, interceding for and giving him support.
These two scriptures from Ezra 9 express what Murillo feels has taken place in our nation:
“And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape,
and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage. For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage; but He extended mercy to us in
the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins,
and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem.”
“And after all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, since You our God have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such deliverance as this,
should we again break Your commandments, and join in marriage with the people committing these abominations? Would You not be angry with us until You had consumed us, so that there would be no remnant or survivor?”
Ezra 9:8-9, 13-14
We pray:
- That we would acknowledge the Divine mercy and grace that has been poured out on the United States over our 243 years and herald what God is doing for us now, in giving us this man as our President to restore our foundations so that we can fulfill our destiny of being part of the great end-times harvest!
The consequences of cheapening God’s grace and mercy are terrible…but the opportunity of receiving His “costly grace” is wonderful! The miracle of having a President who honors and reveres God, who is a champion for life and who calls the nation to prayer, has broken open the way for the Gospel to be presented anew!
The election of Donald Trump was a temporary reprieve…and now we must do our part. We must act on the mercy we have been shown. God extended mercy so that we, the church, would arise and act. He is calling us… to revive, repair, and rebuild.
Revive: God commands us to seek a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We dare not be without it! There must NOT be another word uttered from the pulpit that denies it! Come, Holy Spirit, we need YOU!
We pray:
- Let us cry out to God with a heart of gratitude for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, so we can freely and authentically operate in His gifts and do all He calls us to! He promises:
“Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.
And let it be, when these signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for God is with you.”
1 Samuel 10:6-7
Repair: Both the pulpit and our nation’s moral compass have been compromised and must be repaired! Battles over abortion and marriage were lost because of a “watered-down gospel” which prevented Christians from being armed with the truth and equipped with conviction. The voice that shakes hell and frees people from bondage is forged only in fervent prayer. Satan does not respect stage presence, education or seeker-sensitive tactics, and he can easily identify those who are “prayerless posers”. He will only retreat before strong men and women who “know their God and carry out great exploits!”
We pray:
- That when people come to salvation and receive Jesus as Savior and Lord, that they will receive and believe the whole Gospel of Christ, be filled with a HOLY BOLDNESS, and fully embrace their call to discipleship.
“The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”
Daniel 11:32
Rebuild: We must preach the Glorious Gospel and exalt the supremacy of Christ in our lives and over this nation. Tell the world that He is both Savior and Lord! As Savior, He paid an unmatched price to redeem us and as Lord, He rules and reigns, and when He commands, we are to obey. Let the people hear Bible verses that speak of our Mighty, Loving God that seeks and saves the lost! To be saved is to become a disciple! Let the church find its voice…and share the GOOD NEWS which will once again roll off our tongues…in the office, on campus, and at the mall.
We pray:
- That evangelism and discipleship will flourish as those who are saved move out into the harvest fields to fervently disciple others, teaching them to observe all that Jesus has commanded.
“for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Luke 19:10
Cheap grace seeks to hide the cost of discipleship from people. It claims that as long as we make a profession of faith, we are saved and God’s grace covers all our sins. Yet, Paul warns us:
“What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?
By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?”
Salvation by grace alone through faith alone is so much more than simply mouthing the words: “Jesus is Lord.” We are saved by faith…and it manifests itself in repentance, obedience, and love of God and our neighbor. Salvation brings transformation…and Paul says it best when he says we are “new creations” in Christ! There is nothing “cheap” about grace! It is AMAZING!
