“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”
1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #
We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!
“The Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow; the hair of His head was like pure wool.
His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire; a fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him.
A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him.
The court was seated, and the books were opened.”
Daniel 7:9-10
We sing: Ancient of Days
Blessing and honor, glory and power, be unto the Ancient of Days!
From every nation, all of creation, bow before the Ancient of Days!
Every tongue in heaven and earth shall declare Your glory, every knee shall bow at Your throne in worship
You will be exalted, oh, God, and Your kingdom shall not pass away, Oh, Ancient of Days!
Your kingdom shall reign over all the earth…Sing unto the ancient of days
For none can compare to Your matchless worth…Sing unto the ancient of days
Every tongue in heaven and earth shall declare Your glory, every knee shall bow at Your throne in worship
You will be exalted, oh, God, and Your kingdom shall not pass away, Oh, Ancient of Days!
Oh, Ancient of Days! Oh, Ancient of Days! Oh, Ancient of Days!

We say “No!” to them and ask that You expose and foil all their plans! Thank You, Lord!
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.
We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family
and all those serving in this Administration.

positioning ourselves in intercession before the Lord on behalf of our President and nation!

WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Hineni! Here I am!
“You shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, “Here I am.” (Hineni)
Isaiah 58:9
There will be a day when all those who believe in the Lord and are saved will gather in His Presence and with ONE VOICE, will praise and worship HIM together…for all eternity! Today’s song: “Ancient of Days” refers to the “eternal” God, an attribute unique only to the Lord, Who is the Supreme Being… the “Ancient of Days”. The term is found only 3 times in Scripture, all in Daniel 7. God the Father is seen as the Eternal Judge, seated on His throne, as Jesus, the “Son of Man” approaches on the clouds. There is a description of Jesus, with snow-white hair and blazing eyes in Revelation 1, which parallels that picture, and depicts Him with the same power and authority to judge His church as the Ancient of Days had in judging Israel.
For those who are in Christ, there is no fear of judgment. Jesus, Who “loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father. ” Revelation 1:5-6 When we call Him, He answers, and like a Good Shepherd, delights to lead us into the places we need to be, in order to grow in Him!
We pray:
- As we listen, receive and embrace correction, refine us, Lord, so that we might learn better how to conduct ourselves, in order to draw even closer to You! We yield to Your rod and staff, and are comforted!
In Isaiah 58, we have an example of God exposing and correcting the shallow worship of His people and the emptiness of religious “rituals” as practiced in Isaiah’s day: fasting and keeping of the Sabbath. In fasting, you don’t eat and in Sabbath-keeping, you don’t work. What we don’t do isn’t enough to make us right before God. Our walk with Him shouldn’t be defined by what we don’t do, but rather, what we do for the LORD. Let us read each portion, and use the reflections as prayer prompts!
“Cry aloud, spare not; lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.”
Reflection: God speaks loudly and directly, so His people will hear their transgression and address it. Pray.
“Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and did not forsake the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching God.’
Reflection: On the surface, it seemed as if God’s people were devoted to Him. They did righteous works and seemed to take delight in approaching God. Pray.
‘Why have we fasted,’ they say, ‘and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls, and You take no notice?’
In fact, in the day of your fast, you find pleasure, and exploit all your laborers. Indeed you fast for strife and debate, and to strike with the fist of wickedness. You will not fast as you do this day, to make your voice heard on high.”
Reflection: They felt God was unfair to them. “LORD, we have fasted, but You still don’t answer our prayer.” They prayed and fasted for their own “selfish needs”…to win an argument, or defeat a person. Even though their time of prayer was accompanied by fasting, God didn’t answer. When they tried to “make their voice heard on high” and glorify themselves, God rejected their hollow, empty expressions, as they had no spiritual substance. Trusting in empty ritual, they were far from Him…and spiritual reality. Pray.
“Is it a fast that I have chosen, a day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, and to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord?’
Reflection: Even though they did “all the right things” in their fasting (ie. sackcloth and ashes). God couldn’t accept their fasting because it wasn’t connected with a sincere heart of obedience. Pray.
“Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?”
Reflection: God told His people that if they wanted to fast in the way that pleases Him, they needed to begin by getting things right with their brothers and sisters, and doing loving things for others. Pray.
‘Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am. (Hineni!)’”
Reflection: If God’s people would couple their fasting with lives of righteousness rooted in love, they would see their prayers answered. Their lives would be full of light, healing, righteousness and the glory of the LORD. Pray.
“If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday.”
Reflection: The reality was that they needed to minister to the hungry with more than food; they had to open their hearts (“extend their soul”) to the hungry, to look for and minister to the afflicted. To walk with God, we must open our eyes and love others. To the repentant, God promises blessing. Not only will they have light, but even their darkness shall be as the noonday! Pray.
“The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the “Repairer of the Breach”, “The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In”.
Reflection: To have the guidance of the LORD, empty religious ritual isn’t enough. We need to seek God with both sincere hearts and sincere actions. Those who serve God with sincere hearts and actions enjoy the health and life of the soul that is impossible for the superficial follower of God to know. Pray.
“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable, and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,”
Reflection: God calls us to take a delight in the heart and in the purpose of the Sabbath – to honor Him, not doing our own ways. As Christians, we don’t have to “work” to save ourselves but recognize that our salvation was accomplished in Jesus. We have a rest in Jesus that is ours to live in every day. Pray.
“Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; and I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Reflection: When we keep the meaning of the Sabbath, then we shall delight ourselves in the LORD. God will bless us, and we shall delight, not only in the blessings but in the LORD Himself. We know it is sure because the mouth of the LORD has spoken. Pray.
In review, the characteristics of a life right with God.
- It is an enlightened life: Your light shall dawn in the darkness.
- It is a guided life: The LORD will guide you continually.
- It is a satisfying life: And satisfy your soul in drought.
- It is a fragrant life: Like a watered garden.
- It is a freshly sustained life: Like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
- It is a productive, healing life: You shall build up the old waste places.
We pray:
- Lord, we want to live our lives in accordance with You. We fail in so many ways and allow ourselves to be distracted as we follow the desires of our own hearts. We have left undone those things which we should have done, and we’ve done that which we should not. Have mercy on us, O God, according to Your steadfast love, according to Your great compassion. Renew and restore us so that we might live righteous lives that will release a fragrant scent before You! Be glorified as Your people live and move and have our being in You!
