We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!

“Be still, and know that I am God;  

I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Psalm 46:10

  The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!

We pray for our President’s protection and cover him with the Blood of Jesus, as he is in one of the most difficult moments of his Presidency. Let him respond to every situation by the leading of the Holy Spirit!

We refer those to You who are plotting and planning the demise of our beloved President! 

We say “No!” to them and ask that You expose and foil all their plans! Thank You, Lord! 

We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.

We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family

and all those serving in this Administration. 

We pray for the Federal Reserve Board members, to use their power to boost our nation’s economy. 

Let them no longer resist our President’s requests to act in accord with what is good for the USA!  

The 24/7 NSPC is praying for the 2020 National Elections, 

positioning ourselves in intercession before the Lord on behalf of our President and nation!  

COUNTDOWN: 266 days until the election! 

Let us pray into this verse:

Strategic Focus for Wednesday 

WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 

Remembering Abraham Lincoln 

All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son

that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called;  whom He called, these He also justified

and whom He justified, these He also glorified

Romans 8:28-30

We began our hour today exalting God, and we can rest assured that He is pleased with our sacrifice of praise. When our ways are pleasing to Him, God moves in wondrous ways, even causing our enemies to be “at peace” with us!  He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose! We thank Him for the way he makes that peace, pleasure, and purpose all flow together. When He is in control of our lives, we can walk through life’s “fire” and emerge unscathed… and pass through raging “waters” and not be drowned!  As we answer His call, saying: “Hineni, Adonai!   HERE I AM, LORD!”  He conforms us into the image of His Son, our Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a glorious journey, one we are privileged to take! 

We pray: 

  • Lord, we are so grateful that You knew us before the beginning of time, that You predestined each of us to be conformed into the image of Jesus, and that You called us to serve You!  Thank You for justifying and glorifying us, and allowing us to be part of the symphony of praise that continuously exalts Your Holy Name!

Today, we remember another who was called by God to serve Him and this nation in her most perilous hour.    On this day, the birthday of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, we reflect on the persecution and attacks he experienced… and see how they parallel those being currently endured by our 45th President, Donald John Trump. 

This focus will include portions of an article written by Newt Gingrich, who served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1995-1999. He is known as the “architect” of the Contract with America and led the Republican Party to victory in 1994 as they captured a majority in the United States House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years. Widely recognized as an expert on world history, military issues, and international affairs, he highlights the similarities between what Donald Trump and Abraham Lincoln had to endure during their individual presidencies!

As President:

  • Abraham Lincoln built the Republican Party into a strong national organization. 
    • Donald Trump is building today’s Republican Party, uniting the members of Congress and supporting conservative candidates across the nation. Pray.
  • Abraham Lincoln rallied most of the northern Democrats to the Union cause.
    • Donald Trump is rallying many from the ranks of black and Hispanic voters, along with Democrats and Independents who are fed up with the far left’s antics.  Pray.
  • On January 1, 1863, Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation that declared those slaves within the Confederacy forever free. 
    • For the past 3 years, Donald Trump has been liberating the business community from the bonds of over-regulation and has boosted economic prosperity to new levels…for all Americans.  Pray.

President Lincoln never let the world forget that the Civil War involved an even larger issue. 

  • While dedicating the military cemetery at Gettysburg, he said: “that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain–that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom–and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”  
  • “Honest Abe” (Lincoln’s nickname) won re-election in 1864, as Union military triumphs heralded an end to the war. In his planning for peace, the President was flexible and generous, encouraging Southerners to lay down their arms and speedily join in the “re-union”. 
  • In his Second Inaugural Address, (inscribed on one wall of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC) we read these words:  “With malice toward none; with charity for all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nation’s wounds…. ”

We pray:

  • In gratitude for those like Abraham Lincoln and Donald Trump who kept faith with the vision of our Founding Fathers and “with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right,they preserved these United States of America as “one nation, under God!”  

Gingrich says: “It is painful to watch our liberal elites endlessly avoid history. Their historical ignorance is creating an ongoing sense of hysteria, which would be absurd if it were not so destructive.  Instead of fighting over the trivia, we ought to take a lesson from history and ask, “What’s this really about?

The answer is simple.  

  • “The same type of hysterical, unending assault was levied against Abraham Lincoln.  Southern slaveholders, and many Northern elites, hated him because he represented the end of their way of life.”
    • President Trump is a profound agent of change, and “the establishment” power structures…in government and in media…are lashing out at him.   Pray.
  • The vitriol and viciousness of the South Carolina pro-slavery newspapers against Lincoln in 1860 remarkably parallelled the left’s hatred of Trump shortly after the 2016 election.  
    • In both cases, the anti-Lincoln slaveowners and the anti-Trump left sensed the end of their way of life if the new President succeeded.”  Pray.

The “media of yesteryear” were shown to be capable of the same viciousness as the mass media of today! There are numerous parallels between what was written about President Lincoln and what has been said about President Trump.  

  • The Times of London on February 13, 1861, stated that Lincoln “frequently examines the Constitution, and the more he looks at it the less he finds in it”
  • The Saturday Review, asserted: “We see the President assuming and actively exercising powers which might almost content the executive of the most absolute European monarchs. He invites and accepts unlimited offers of men and money from all quarters, and apparently disposes of both at his own unfettered discretion…This ostentatious contempt for constitutional proprieties is the more marked because it is altogether gratuitous.” 
  • The New York Daily News said Lincoln was guilty of “cunning, heartlessness, and folly.”
  • The New York Times reported on May 28, 1864: “No living man was ever charged with political crimes of such multiplicity and such enormity…He has been denounced without end as a perjurer, a usurper, a tyrant, a subverter of the Constitution, a destroyer of the liberties of his country, a reckless desperado, a heartless trifler…There is no circle in Dante’s Inferno full of enough torment to expatiate his iniquities.”
  • At the peak of hysteria, the La Crosse Democrat even advocated assassination, printing: if he is elected to misgovern for another four years, we trust some bold hand will pierce his heart with dagger point for the public good.”

We pray:

  • That President Trump will continue to “weather the storms of life”, knowing that one who is deeply revered and honored by all Americans today… walked that same path of disrespect and dishonoring during his time!

To top things off, President Lincoln’s problems weren’t just with the newspapers.

  • Supreme Court Justice David Davis asserted in an interview with William H. Herndon: “Want of will — want of administrative ability; he did not fully foresee all — he did not organize by a solid plan; hence his [administration] didn’t run smooth — no Care for the future.”  
  • Even Lincoln’s faithful secretary, John Nicolay, suggested “the President’s official habits…were reckless of all order, and gave his secretaries no end of trouble.”

We pray:

  • That President Trump will continue to be the “champion” for life, family, and future that he is, and that those who are “blind” and just can’t see now will have their eyes open to the truth, and support him!   

Does this type of criticism sound familiar? Just as President Trump is reviled by the elite establishment political-media class, when Lincoln became president, he had to deal with enormous contempt from the eastern sophisticated class that was disgusted that a Midwestern country bumpkin could be president. Lincoln also had to face the painful reality that the Civil War did not start well for the Union, and his first several waves of generals simply couldn’t win. Additionally, Lincoln locked up numerous members of the Maryland legislature to suppress anti-government sentiment. Yet, anyone who is even nominally familiar with American history will tell you that Lincoln was one of our greatest presidents. We thank God for him! 

As for whatever President Trump’s weaknesses and problems might be, he is leading a tremendous economy, filling the federal bench with Constitution-minded judges, and renegotiating scores of unfair trade deals. His success only makes the criticism more absurd.  We applaud and affirm him again today! 

We pray:

  • In gratitude for Abraham Lincoln, who blazed the way through so many troubles, and served as a “forerunner” for Donald Trump.
  • That our President will rise above every attack by uneducated left-wing commentators who dare to smear him.
  • Let him recognize that the “noise” in the liberal media and from far-left agitators is just that: noise…and historically ignorant noise, at that.
  • Affirm to him every day that the American people are for and with him, and that we are praying for him as our President and Commander-in-Chief!
