Feb 1, 2020 – Prayer Focus
Saturday, February 1, 2020 – The 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call
“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”
1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #
We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!
“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise,
be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”.
1 Timothy 1:17
We sing: To God Be The Glory
To God be the Glory, to God be the Glory, to God be the Glory,
great things He has done!
By His Blood He has saved us, by His power He has raised us,
to God be the Glory for the things He has done!
~~~~~
The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for our President’s protection and cover him with the Blood of Jesus, as he is in one of the most difficult moments of his Presidency. Let him respond to every situation by the leading of the Holy Spirit!
We refer those to You who are plotting and planning the demise of our beloved President!
We say “No!” to them and ask that You expose and foil all their plans! Thank You, Lord!
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.
We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family
and all those serving in this Administration.
We pray for the Federal Reserve Board members, to use their power to boost our nation’s economy.
Let them no longer resist our President’s requests to act in accord with what is good for the USA!
The 24/7 NSPC is praying for the 2020 National Elections,
positioning ourselves in intercession before the Lord on behalf of our President and nation!
COUNTDOWN: 277 days until the election!
Let us pray into this verse:
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
John 11:40
Strategic Focus for Saturday
WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Impeachment Trial / Sham – Day 11
“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Psalm 27:14
As we release this focus for Saturday, we still do not have a final determination in the impeachment trial of President Donald J. Trump. There was a vote of 51-49 NOT to call witnesses late Friday afternoon, and then the Senate took a recess to determine “next steps”. The proceeding is scheduled to resume on Monday, and we continue to intercede, pressing in until we see the trial ended and the President vindicated!
We pray:
- that GOD’S TRUTH WILL TRIUMPH,
- that this impeachment trial will end,
- our President will be acquitted and fully exonerated!
We note that Chief Justice John Roberts – though he is a federal judge, wearing his robe, and occupying the seat “above the well” – is not sitting as a judge in the usual sense. He does not have power over the proceedings as he would in a court. Under the Constitution, the Senate has the sole power over impeachment trials.
We pray:
- For Chief Justice Roberts to be filled with wisdom and courage, so he will not bow to those who might attempt to influence or sway him with flattering tongues, as Adam Schiff has done continuously.
Here is a recap of Friday’s happenings:
Prior to the start of yesterday’s proceedings, Chuck Schumer held a press conference, to once again decry the lack of “due process” while they did that very thing in the House proceedings. This was an attempt to intimidate those who might vote on the side of the President. They reiterated their key talking points and hammered away with lies, saying that every Republican who tries to hide the truth would be participating in a cover-up and that this would be a “sham” trial, and an acquittal would be a “farce”!
It was also suggested that the trial could actually be extended into Wednesday. That would mean:
- That 4 Senators competing for the Democrats nomination for president would still be in session on Monday, during the Iowa Caucuses.
- That would also impact the logistics surrounding the 2020 State of the Union message, scheduled to be delivered by the President in the House Chamber, with Vice President Mike Pence and Speaker Nancy Pelosi sitting behind him on the platform.
We pray:
- That the entreatments and snares being planned and set by the Dems will all fail and be to no avail!
- That this trial ends quickly… with no more delays…and no more public displays!
The session began with Senate Chaplain Barry Black offering yet, another powerful invocation. He prayed:
Let us pray. Eternal Lord God, You have summarized ethical behavior in a single sentence: Do for others what you would like them to do for you. Remind our Senators that they alone are accountable to You for their conduct. Lord, help them to remember that they can’t ignore You and get away with it, for we always reap what we sow. Have Your way, Mighty God! You are the Potter; our Senators and we are the clay. Mold and make us after Your Will. Stand up, Omnipotent God! Stretch Yourself and let this nation and world know that You alone are Sovereign. I pray, in the Name of Jesus!’”
We pray:
- What a joy to hear Chaplain Black invoke the Name of Jesus over the Senators and the determination that will be made! HalleluYah!
The first motion of the day opened the debate on whether or not to call witnesses. Each of the legal teams was given 2 hours to present their arguments, with the House impeachment managers going first, then the President’s defense team following. Both teams spoke, then reserved time to continue following the other side’s remarks. That continued until each side had used their 2 hours, a little after 5 pm ET.
Then followed the much-awaited “gateway vote” which would determine whether or not they would open the door to subpoena witnesses or not. The result of that vote was 51-49 to reject calling witnesses. HalleluYah! Two Republicans, Mitt Romney (UT) and Susan Collins (ME) voted with the Democrats to call witnesses.
After the vote, McConnell said: “A majority of the U.S. Senate has determined that the numerous witnesses and 28,000-plus pages of documents already in evidence are sufficient to judge the House Managers’ accusations and end this impeachment trial.”
We pray:
- We thank God for McConnell and the Senate Republicans holding strong, and for rejecting the call for witnesses.
- We again ask that the trial will come to a quick conclusion, bringing VICTORY for our President, and completely exonerating him!
Later on Friday evening, Senate Republicans voted down four amendments offered by Democrats to call Bolton and White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, among others. Chief Justice Roberts told Schumer before that vote series that he would not break ties in the Senate, after Democrats in recent days raised the possibility Roberts could possibly tip the scales for them during votes on amendments. “I think it would be inappropriate for me, an unelected official from a different branch of government, to assert the power to change that result so that the motion would succeed,” Roberts said.
We pray:
- In gratitude for EVERY attempt of the enemy to position itself to impede or hinder the swift end of this trial!
The entire process by which this impeachment was alleged is fraudulent and Republicans want to bring this to a conclusion. The question is now what will happen next…how they will finish out the trial. They need to determine whether to have an additional debate, and how much time to allocate for the two legal teams to finish their presentations, and whether it will be public or private! As we sent out this focus, it had been suggested:
- That there be no weekend sessions,
- That Monday and Tuesday will provide time for Senators to make their comments on the floor
- That a final vote on impeachment would take place on Wednesday.
It is proposed that each Senator be given 15 minutes to offer their final thoughts on the floor of the Senate…but in a closed session…before the final vote.
We pray:
- That the Republicans would HOLD THE LINE…and that will remain in closed session, so there will be NO grabbing the spotlight and playing to the national audiences on TV by those who love to be in the limelight.
- That no matter what tomorrow brings, whatever delays are attempted, that there will indeed be a speedy vote and our President will be acquitted!
Once again, we declare the verse we have been praying for our nation for the past three years!
“For the Lord is our Judge, The Lord is our Lawgiver, The Lord is our King; He will save us!”
Isaiah 33:22
We pray:
- That the Lord, Who is our Highest Judge, and Who judges justly, will bring these proceedings to a final conclusion, and it will be one from which He will derive the greatest GLORY!
