24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call Sunday, December 31, 2017 – New Year’s Eve

“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”

1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #

*** The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President and to pray for all that pertains to our nation! Father, we come before You, on this last day of 2017, asking that You guard and protect our President, Donald Trump, his wife Melania, their son Barron and their extended family as they prepare to enter the new year. Cover our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family, and all those in the Trump Administration serving You and our nation! Thank You, Lord!

Praise Report

As 2017 draws to a close, we look back and reflect on the many things that God has brought the members of our 24/7 family through this year. We praise Him for how He has been with us…upheld us…and has always been faithful to His promise that He would never leave us or forsake us! What steadfast love! What a Mighty God we serve!

Praying for our President and his Administration

  • Pray for our President as he continues to address the issue of transgenders in the military. His Administration decided not to appeal rulings by two federal appeals courts, (in Washington and Virginia) that blocked his transgender ban and required the military to begin accepting transgender recruits on January 1st. A Justice Department official said the administration will not challenge those rulings now because the Department of Defense will be releasing an independent study of these issues in coming weeks. Rather than litigate this interim appeal before that occurs, the administration decided to wait for DOD’s study. In the meantime, it will continue to defend the President’s lawful authority in district court. Pray that when it’s released, the issue will be resolved as God decrees!

Praying for our Supreme Court and the Judicial System

  • After their Christmas vacation, the SCOTUS Justices will be back in conference next week, and start hearing cases again on Monday, January 8th. Pray this session will bring forth righteous and just judgments, that honor God and our Founding Fathers intent!

Praying for the Congress of the United States: Senate and House of Representatives

  • The 24/7 NSPC is currently praying for Congress on an hourly basis, asking God to cause our Representatives and Senators to stand with the President to restore Godly laws and values upon which our nation was founded. May holy conviction come upon each member of Congress, so that they will honor God in all they do as legislators!

Praying for Truth to Reign in the Mass Media in our Nation

  • We are interceding daily for the Spirit of TRUTH to expose, overpower and defeat the lies, deceit and falsehood that has inundated and corrupted the mass media of our nation. We bless those in the media who may have ever known or professed a relationship with Christ, and call that to come to full effectiveness in each of their lives!

Praying for our 24/7 NSPC Family

  • As we close this year and enter 2018, we pray each of our 24/7 NSPC families will be blessed and united in God’s overwhelming love! We wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Be sure to post your prayer requests to our 24/7 NSPC Family FB page.

Strategic Focus for Sunday – New Year’s Eve

WELCOMING THE KING OF GLORY into the UNITED STATES

BUT GOD…! Part 3

“You shall not go out with haste…for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.” Isaiah 52:12

In Genesis 1, we find the story of creation. It begins with God creating the heavens and the earth. We are told that darkness covered the earth, and God spoke into that darkness and said, “Let there be LIGHT”…and there was LIGHT. He saw that the LIGHT was good; and He separated the LIGHT from the darkness.

Since that first moment in time, stories contrasting darkness and LIGHT have been lived out over and over again…in many lives…in different places…and in various situations. Cain and Abel, Saul and David, Judas and Jesus…reveal a stark difference between darkness and light! In our world today, the 24/7 family is engaged in major warfare…a warfare of love. It is the battle of the Bride…and as intercessors who stand on the wall day and night, we give the Lord no rest until we see the LIGHT break through in every situation we are praying into. We rejoice in every breakthrough…and we praise Him as the LIGHT comes into so many lives…dividing those who are HIS from those who do not yet serve HIM!

Surrounded by HIS love, walking in the LIGHT, we can move forward…not “in haste”, but with the Lord leading! He will also be our rear guard, covering us from behind, where we often most vulnerable! He is our security!

Security is defined as the state of being free from danger or threat; freedom from, or resilience against, potential harm from external forces; freedom from danger; freedom from fear or anxiety; freedom from the prospect of being rejected; safety. In his book, MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST, Oswald Chambers writes about security, past, future and present! As we read and pray through the following three points, let us thank God for HIS LIGHT…and the security ONLY He can provide…

  • Security from Yesterday. God requires “an account of what is past”. Ecclesiastes 3:15. At the end of the year, we turn with eagerness to all that God has for the future, and yet anxiety is apt to arise when we remember our yesterdays. Our present enjoyment of God’s grace tends to be lessened by the memory of yesterday’s sins and blunders. But God is the God of our yesterdays, and He allows the memory of them to turn the past into a ministry of spiritual growth for our future. God reminds us of the past to protect us from a very shallow security in the present.
  • Security for Tomorrow. “…the Lord will go before you…. This is a gracious revelation, that God will send His forces out where we have failed to do so. He will keep watch so that we will not be tripped up again by the same failures, as would undoubtedly happen if He were not our “rear guard.” God’s hand reaches back to the past, settling all the claims against our conscience.
  • Security for Today. You shall not go out with haste….” As we go forth into the coming year, let it not be in the haste of impetuous, forgetful delight, nor with the quickness of impulsive thoughtlessness. But let us go out with the patient power of knowing that the God of Israel will go before us. Our yesterdays hold broken and irreversible things for us. It is true that we have lost opportunities that will never return, but God can transform this destructive anxiety into constructive thoughtfulness for the future.

Let the past rest, but let it rest in the sweet embrace of Christ.

Leave the broken, irreversible past in His hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him.

(Oswald Chambers – MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST)

 Prayer points

  • Lord, help us to remember Your promises and see how they apply to our lives, past, future and present. Let Your Word strengthen and enlighten us when all seems dark!
  • Holy Spirit, remind us of previous victories and of how You were there with us in past trials and times of testing. We praise You for each victorious moment and rejoice in it!
  • Lord Jesus, you said that sin had no part in YOU. We desire the same! Will You reveal any open door which gives darkness a legal right to attack or oppress us? With Your help, we repent of our sin and close those doors permanently!
  • Lord, let us be a people who hear from You, have strong faith, love You unconditionally, and are overcomers. We reject anything that would try to make us feel insecure, competitive, jealous, naysayers, arrogant, or perfectionistic.
  • Give us Your perspective in every situation. You know all things and are sovereign! Help us to sing in the midst of the storm and apprehend Your victory, even before it’s manifested upon the earth.
  • Let us be a people who speak life and prophesy as YOU show us…about faith, perspectives, miracles, and greater intimacy with YOU…and we will delight as You move mountains and provide for our needs.
  • Father, help us to be flexible and to adjust to the “things” You are doing in this hour! As the old passes away, we stand ready for a new season, and enter into 2018 with YOU!
