We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!
“If indeed you do go back, and cling to the remnant of these nations—these that remain among you—
and make marriages with them, and go in to them and they to you,
know for certain that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations from before you.
But they shall be snares and traps to you, and scourges on your sides and thorns in your eyes,
until you perish from this good land which the Lord your God has given you.”
Joshua 23:12-13

The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly
for the safety and security of our duly elected President, Donald John Trump,
and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for his protection, for our First Lady, Melania, and their marriage
and for all the members of their family. We cover them all with the Blood of Jesus.
Pray.
For the restoration of Donald Trump to his rightful office.
In every situation and decision, let our President be led by the Holy Spirit,
so that he learns the truth and acts accordingly, for the good of the nation.
Pray.
For protection, provision, and peace
for all working to expose the fraud and corruption of our elections!
As the SAVE AMERICA movement gains momentum, let those leaders that God anoints and appoints
take their places in the governments of each state and in our nation’s Capitol!
Pray.
For us to receive and put on the full armor of God as we begin this hour,
that we might be protected as we stand in the gap and pray for our nation!

Today, we conclude Chapter 13, and move into 14 in Jonathan Cahn’s THE RETURN OF THE GODS. We are seeing the evil taking place in our nation, and recognizing that the same thing happened in the other covenant nation, Israel! “There is nothing new under the sun!” Pray.
Worshiping Gaia Baal led Israel into the worship of nature. So it is no accident that it was at this same time, of apostasy and the spirit of Baal, that American and Western civilization began to embrace the worship of nature. Nature was no longer a gift from God to be stewarded. It was now the ultimate reality. The earth would be christened with the name of the ancient goddess Gaia, and the world would be deified. Man was of nature, nature was god, man was god, and god was everything—pantheism. Distinctions were eradicated, and lines were crossed. One of these lines was that between man and animal. This too went back to Baal. Pray.
The Rise of the Animal Men As we have seen, Baal was depicted in both human and animal forms. It was typical of paganism, in its mythology and imagery, to merge form, to mix humans with animals, one species with another. While the Hebrew Scriptures emphasized uniqueness and distinctions, the pagan world nullified them. So as the spirit of Baal came upon America and the modern world, lines that had never been crossed were now breached, and distinctions that had undergirded society and life were eradicated. Whereas ancient artisans had merged man and animal in images of stone and clay, modern scientists now merged them, but not through molding clay or chiseling stone, but by molding and splicing the genetic code. The distinction between man and animal was increasingly blurred. The offspring of animals could now be given rights and protections that millions of human babies were never afforded. And man was increasingly viewed as something of a glorified animal. It was one of the unvarying effects of Baal and the gods. They degraded all who worshiped them and debased all who served them. Pray.
The Drowning Lifeguard The bending, blurring, and breaking of distinctions characteristic of the pagan world began seeping into nearly every corner of American culture and life. The distinctions between right and wrong, life and death, the natural and the unnatural, man and woman, good and evil—they were now blurring, bending, and breaking. It was all born of the same root, the pagan confusion and merging of the Creator and the creation, God and man.
If the world was God and man was one with the world, then man was God. As God, he could nullify reality or create another. He could even recreate Himself. He could make the unnatural natural and the natural unnatural. He could alter values, turn right into wrong, evil into good, and good into evil. But if man had become God and God was the world, then there was nothing else. Then there was nothing beyond the world to give meaning to life or purpose to existence. And if the world was broken and the world was God, then God was also broken. And then there could be no repair. And if man was lost and man was God, then God was lost and there was no hope of redemption. Pray.
And so the dismal emptiness and hopeless despair of ancient paganism began creeping back into Western civilization and darkening it. For how could there be any hope of redemption or salvation if the one drowning was the lifeguard. Under the deep magic of Baal, America was morphing into something altogether alien to what it had once been and once stood for. As he had done to ancient Israel, he was now doing to America. The leader of Christian civilization was becoming distinctly pagan. Baal had turned America into its own antithesis. Pray.
Could an ancient word lie behind our most advanced technologies, and an ancient mystery lie behind the rise of the computer?
Chapter 14 The Masters
When the people of Israel turned from God, they turned not only to the gods, but to a specific kind of god:
“They sacrificed to the Baals, and burned incense to carved images.” They turned to the Baalim. Who or what exactly were the Baalim? In order to answer that, we must first define what exactly the gods and idols were to the people of the ancient world—and what they are to us now.
The Identity of a God With regard to the worshiper, a god or idol is that which one ultimately worships, serves, and lives for. It is that which one most focuses and dwells on, and from which one takes the greatest joy. It is that which one most reveres and is led, moved, and driven by. It is one’s ultimate reality and the purpose of one’s life. So if one turns from God, there will always be another, a god or an idol. Pray.
The Baalim The Hebrew word Baalim literally means the “Baals.” The Baalim was Baal in his plural form. He had appeared in a multitude of forms and variations and was embodied by a multitude of idols. So Baal was manifested through the Baals. The word Baalim can also be translated as “the lords,” “the owners,” and “the masters.” If one turns away from God, one will end up serving the Baalim, or one of the Baalim, a god or an idol that will end up becoming one’s master, one’s owner, and one’s lord. Having turned from God, Israel became subject to the Baals, the new lords and masters. The Bible records that the Israelites served the Baalim. The Hebrew word translated as “served” also means “to labor under,” “to be kept in bondage to,” “to be enslaved by.” Their apostasy began with the promises of prosperity, fulfillment, and liberation. But it would end in bondage. Pray.
Lords of America So too for America. The lure of the Baalim was the promise that turning away from God would bring freedom and fulfillment. But instead, it led to enslavement, to the bondage of the Baalim. And as in ancient times the Baalim appeared in a multitude of forms. So Americans now served and were mastered by the Baals of money, pleasure, success, acceptance, sexual gratification, addictions, work, comfort, the internet, self-fulfillment, self-obsession, and countless other gods and idols—the Baals of the modern world. Instead of freedom, Americans saw their culture becoming increasingly driven, restless, conflicted, obsessed, and addicted. And the further the nation moved from God, the more powerful the Baalim became. To America, devoid of God, the pursuit of money and success became an unbridled spirit that possessed millions. With Americans devoid of God, the pursuit of pleasure led to a multitude of addictions and self-destruction. Pray.
The Altars of Baal The Israelites offered up sacrifices to the Baalim. So did the Americans. For the Baalim of money and success, they sacrificed much of their lives. For the Baalim of pleasure, they sacrificed their well-being, their health, their marriages, their families, and their children. The new, modern Baalim were more than ruthless masters—they were deadly. Of Israel’s fall to idols, the prophet Isaiah wrote: “Their land is also full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands.” That was the irony of idolatry. They worshiped as gods the very thing that they themselves had created, “the work of their own hands.” They had created their own Baals. Pray.
We pray:
- That we would humble ourselves before the Lord, asking Him to forgive us for turning from Him to other gods, and leaving our nation vulnerable to them! Pray.
- For President Trump: Guard, guide and govern his every word and action; protect him from all enemies, without and within; help him discern rightly about counsel given by those who advise him. Pray.
- In thanksgiving for all the conservative candidates who will “stand in the gap” with us and our President, engaging in this BATTLE TO SAVE AMERICA, and rejecting the “usurper” and those pulling his strings in this faux administration, removing them from office! Pray.
- Protect and strengthen our 24/7 family and bring in new intercessors who are called to this assignment with us, to pray for our President and our beloved nation! Pray.
