The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for our President’s protection and cover him with the Blood of Jesus,
asking that he will respond to every situation by the leading of the Holy Spirit!
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.
We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family
and all those serving in this Administration.
We speak wisdom and courage to the Federal Reserve Board members.
May they serve with integrity and honor, doing what’s right for our nation’s economy!
The 24/7 NSPC is praying for the 2020 National Elections, positioning ourselves in prayer before the Lord
on behalf of our President and nation!

Strategic Focus for Thursday
WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Promises Made, Promises Kept
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.”

When Donald Trump assumed the Presidency, conservative religious leaders drew up “wish lists” of steps they hoped he’d take to oppose abortion and rein in the LGBTQ-rights movement. With a flurry of recent actions, his Administration is now winning their praise for aggressively fulfilling many of their goals.
Mat Staver, President of Liberty Counsel, said President Trump has fulfilled about 90% of the goals on a list that Staver and other conservative leaders compiled. “In the first two years of his Administration, he’s achieved more than all of the presidents combined since Ronald Reagan. He’s been the most pro-religious freedom and pro-life President in modern history.”
We pray:
- That the word to the opening scripture verse and song will be a continuing and binding reality for our beloved President! “Thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my Glory, and the Lifter of my head!”
- That those like Mat Staver and other Christian influencers will use their platforms to speak out on our President’s behalf, encouraging others to pray for and support him, and to vote their Biblical values!
Things have taken place in the past week that are especially encouraging to those who are praying! Let us read and pray into the full implementation and success of each of these initiatives:
- One of the most dramatic steps, hailed by conservatives and decried by liberals, came as the Department of Health and Human Services implemented a new rule for the federal family planning program known as Title X. Planned Parenthood, long a target of religious conservatives because of its role as the leading US abortion provider, quit the program — walking away from tens of millions of dollars in grants — rather than comply with a new rule prohibiting clinics from referring women for abortions.

- The Labor Department proposed a rule that is expected to shield federal contractors from discrimination complaints regarding hiring and firing decisions motivated by religious beliefs. Critics say the rule, if implemented, would enable employers to discriminate against LGBTQ people.

- The Justice Department filed a brief telling the Supreme Court that federal law allows firing workers for being transgender. The brief is related to three cases that the high court will hear in its upcoming term related to LGBTQ discrimination in the workplace.

- Earlier this year, Health and Human Services issued a waiver allowing a state-contracted foster care agency in South Carolina to deny services to same-sex and non-Christian families.

- HHS also moved to revoke newly won health care discrimination protections for transgender people.

These and other actions aimed at curtailing abortion rights and LGBTQ rights have helped many conservative Christians “overlook” things which they might find “unconventional”. Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Dallas and a frequent guest at the White House, has predicted that President Trump will win more evangelical votes in 2020 than he did in 2016, when they helped provide his margin of victory.“When he ran in 2016 and promised pro-life, pro-religious freedom policies, most evangelicals who voted for him didn’t know whether he would or could fulfill those promises,” Jeffries said. “When they look back now, they see he checked off all of those goals…he’ll win by an even larger margin on basis of promises kept.”
We pray:
- In gratitude for the “Promises Made, Promises Kept”. We call forth the Body of Christ across this nation, to arise and become involved, sharing the message about the way this President has kept his word, and honored God as he did!
From both the right and left, activists noted that President Trump’s numerous appointments of federal judges have been welcomed by the religious right as a potential long-term boost to its causes. Bruce Hausknecht of Focus on the Family said: “We are heartened by the appointment of constitutionalist judges, including two excellent Supreme Court Justices (Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh), and look forward to more such appointments throughout the federal court system.”.
We pray:
- For those conservative justices who sit on the Supreme Court now. May they be strong and firm in upholding righteousness and justice and honor God in all their decisions.
- For those who need to be “replaced”: remove them from the bench, and put Godly Justices in their place!
What is being celebrated by religious conservatives is being viewed with alarm by the liberal activists.
- The American Civil Liberties Union is among several organizations seeking to block some of the administration’s moves in court.“This is essentially the wish list of groups that have a very extreme and discriminatory perspective on what religious liberty means,” said Ian Thompson, the ACLU’s senior legislative representative in Washington. “It’s important not to see any one of these policies in isolation but to see them as part of a coordinated effort by the administration across agencies.”He urged the Democrat controlled House of Representatives to go on record against the policies, and investigate those which seem particularly problematic.
- Peter Montgomery of People for the American Way, which is often critical of religious conservative groups, said “Trump is advancing religious right priorities in the short term through administrative actions and in the long term through his appointment of young, right-wing ideologues to lifetime positions on the federal judiciary.”
We pray:
- That the reality of what the President has done for this country will be seen, received, and supported!
- That the arguments being advanced by liberal activists will “not hold water” and every attempt of theirs to defeat the conservative right will be foiled! Let the Champions of Christ stand before the Courts and the nation, to speak the TRUTH in love and let them prevail!
The Trump Administration’s actions represent a sharp turnaround from the presidency of Barack Obama, who supported abortion rights and same-sex marriage, mandated that contraception be covered by the Affordable Care Act, enabled transgender people to serve openly in the military, and issued guidance to school districts that they should let transgender students use the bathrooms of their choice. Alliance Defending Freedom is among the conservative legal groups that has litigated against numerous Obama-era initiatives and has welcomed Trump’s moves to reverse them. “The defense of life, free speech, and religious liberty should never be subject to political and cultural whims,” said Kristen Waggoner, an ADF senior vice president. “They are constitutional guarantees, and we are grateful that this administration recognizes that reality and is taking serious steps to correct injustice and protect all Americans.”
We pray:
- That “the defense of life, free speech, and religious liberty” will always be top priorities for this Administration and that they will continue to keep the promises that have been made!
URGENT PRAYER NEEDED
We pray for those in the path of tropical storm Dorian, which is out in the Atlantic, making its way West, past Puerto Rico and the islands of the Bahamas, bearing down on the East Coast of the US. Dorian means “son of the sea” and we speak to this storm and say, “PEACE! BE STILL! Stay with your mother; don’t come ashore!”

Praying for our Supreme Court and the Judicial System
The US Supreme Court has announced that it will take up a case involving a Michigan Christian funeral home’s objection to an employee’s decision to transition to a different sex. This will determine if transgender rights will prevail over Christian-based businesses and could bring a definitive ruling on the future rights of faith-based businesses and ministries. At issue is whether the 1964 federal Civil Rights law that prohibits employment discrimination based on race and religion also applies to sexual orientation and gender identity.
We pray:
- That righteousness will prevail and that those promoting perversion of any kind will be soundly defeated both in court and in the public arena!
