Sunday, August 24, 2025 – The 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call

We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever. “

We sing: Now Thank We All our God
Now thank we all our God, with heart and hands and voices,
Who wondrous things has done, in Whom this world rejoices;
Who from our mothers’ arms has blessed us on our way
with countless gifts of love, and still is ours today.
O may this bounteous God through all our life be near us,
With ever joyful hearts and blessed peace to cheer us;
and keep us in His grace, and guide us when perplexed;
and free us from all ills, in this world and the next!
All praise and thanks to God the Father now be given;
The Son and Him Who reigns with Them in highest Heaven;
the One Eternal God, whom earth and Heaven adore;

For us to receive and put on the Ephesians 6 “full armor of God” as we begin each hour,
that we might be protected as we continue to “stand in the gap” for our beloved country!
Pray.
The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly
for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump,
and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for his protection and ask that he be led by the Holy Spirit
so that he will discern truth and act for the good of the nation.
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage and family, and cover them all with the Blood of Jesus.
Pray.
For those leaders that God has anointed, appointed, and elected,
as they take their places in the governments of each state and in our nation’s Capitol!
May they work together to clean up corruption in our government and restore our electoral system.
Pray.
For God’s blessing and intervention in the life of Joe Hoft and his family,
bringing a miraculous resolution to the issues threatening and attacking him!
Pray.
We will now spend the next 10 minutes praying for President Trump,
focusing our prayers against any demonic attacks against his physical body,
in particular, the issuance of the demonic decree (“fatwa”) by the Iranian Ayatollah,
calling on Muslims to take his life.
Let him remain in good health, so he can serve his entire 4-year term as our 47th US President!

VICTORY IN CALIFORNIA! Good News Clubs Win Equal Access in Oakland School District
A federal district court in California granted Liberty Counsel a preliminary injunction on behalf of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) and its Good News Clubs, giving them equal access to school facilities which had been unlawfully denied by the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD). The injunction requires school officials to give CEF’s after-school clubs access on an equal basis as other similarly situated clubs operated by non-religious groups. Oakland Schools had unconstitutionally denied CEF the right to use public school facilities for after-school Good News Clubs, specifically because the clubs were “religious.” In other words, Oakland Schools relegated Christians and Christian clubs to second-class status and openly discriminated against them. U.S. District Judge Haywood S. Gilliam, Jr. agreed, stating in the injunction that the “law and facts clearly favor” Liberty Counsel’s argument that “OUSD violated CEF’s free speech rights.”

With this preliminary injunction, Liberty Counsel will now ultimately seek a permanent injunction against OUSD’s unconstitutional actions so the Good News Clubs can retain access to these public school campuses alongside other groups, such as Girls on the Run and Berkeley Chess School. Prior to the COVID pandemic, OUSD had allowed CEF NorCal East Bay to host Good News Clubs on its campuses. In response to COVID, the school district cancelled all clubs in Spring 2020. However, when CEF requested to resume the Good News Clubs throughout the Spring and Fall of 2023, elementary school officials responded with a variety of denials. In several of the denials, school officials overtly displayed religious viewpoint discrimination, stating that CEF was not a “good match,” and “we are not in support of Evangelism on our campus.” The district also denied CEF NorCal East Bay because there was “no space” available (even when spaces were listed as available online,) and also failed to grant the organization’s “community partnership” application over “its religious programming.”

While OUSD argued that allowing CEF to use school facilities would have violated the Establishment Clause, Judge Gilliam rejected that argument using U.S. Supreme Court precedent. Since the clubs are held after school hours, not sponsored by the school, and open to any student who obtained parental consent, the Good News Clubs cannot be denied based on their religious viewpoint, and OUSD is “simply wrong as a matter of well-established law,” wrote Judge Gilliam.

CEF Good News Clubs positively impact the lives of children and their families. Good News Clubs typically meet once per week, immediately after school, and are led by trained and vetted local community volunteers. The clubs provide religious and other teaching and activities to encourage learning, spiritual growth, and service to others, as well as social, emotional, character, and leadership development. Good News Clubs do not charge any fee and welcome children with written permission from parents.

Since the U.S. Supreme Court (in Good News Club v. Milford Central School) ruling in June 2001 that public schools violate the First Amendment by not providing equal access and equal treatment to Christian clubs when the school has opened the forum to secular clubs, Liberty Counsel has represented hundreds of CEF cases nationally and has never lost a case involving Good News Clubs. Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said, “This is a great victory for Child Evangelism Fellowship, parents, and the students in Oakland public schools. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that public schools cannot discriminate against Christian viewpoints regarding the use of school facilities. Child Evangelism Fellowship gives children a biblically based education that includes moral and character development. Good News Clubs should be in every public elementary school.”

That the “Good News” will be made available so that every child in this nation might hear of and come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior at an early age. Pray.
That the sacrificial efforts of Liberty Counsel and other organizations like them, that uphold freedom of religion in the United States, will see their efforts yielding a tremendous harvest of souls. Pray.
That the people of our nation will stand alongside President Trump, and remain engaged in this BATTLE TO SAVE AMERICA until VICTORY is won! Pray.
Protect and strengthen our 24/7 family and bring in new intercessors, in particular, Godly men and those of the next generation who are called to this assignment with us, to pray for our President and our beloved nation! Prepare us for our NEXT STEPS in this Battle to Save America! Pray.
