Thursday, August 15, 2019 – The 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call

“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”

1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #

We will not tolerate any demonic interference on the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call

In taking measures to protect and defend our 24/7 family, at the top of every hour,

the facilitator, in agreement with those on the line, will bind all forces of evil and cast them down into the abyss, then pray a shield of protection over this line and our 24/7 family!

*The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President Donald John Trump and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!

We pray for our President’s protection, cover him with the Blood of Jesus,

and pray that he will not respond to any provocation to go to war with Iran or any other nation!

We bless our First Lady, Melania and their marriage. We bless their son Barron and family members.

We cover our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family

and all those serving in this Administration.

We also bless the members of the Federal Reserve Board along with those who are part of our nation’s banking system which impacts our economy! May Jerome H. Powell, Richard H. Clarida,

Randal K. Quarles, Michelle W. Bowman, and Lael Brainard serve with integrity and honor!

We pray for all those on the front lines of the LIFE battle, particularly Cindy Collins, Allan Parker, Alveda King, our Governors, our State Legislators, the Supreme Court, our President,

and all those who have been conceived in rape or through incest or are abortion survivors!

Let healing come to all who have been affected by the sin of abortion!

The 24/7 NSPC is calling the Body of Christ nationwide to pray for the 2020 National Elections,

mobilizing intercessors and positioning ourselves in prayer before the Lord

on behalf of our President and nation!

COUNTDOWN: 447 days until the election!

Let us pray into this verse:

“He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”

Philippians 1:6

Strategic Focus for Thursday

WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

UNDERSTANDING “SOCIAL SECURITY”

The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him, Who shelters him all the day long;

And he shall dwell between His shoulders.”

Deuteronomy 33:12

In an attempt to understand how the spirit of mammon works in our nation, and to “demystify” the way our nation’s economy functions, we launched into a study of the Federal Reserve (FED)…and have been praying for it ever since! Our goal was to make the factors influencing our economy easier to understand, and we did! PTL!

Today, we will look at another aspect of finance that touches most, if not all Americans…Social Security!

Established on August 14, 1935, 84 years ago, Social Security is part of the working life and retirement plan of almost every American worker. People spend years working, paying into Social Security, looking forward to the benefits they’ll receive upon retirement!

We pray:

  • That we would be as solicitous of the eternal benefits we will receive upon “retirement’ from this life as we are for our SS benefits! Let us not “love” but “use” money wisely, to build the Kingdom of God while here!

A Social Security benefit payment is based on how much is earned during the course of the individual’s working career. The higher their lifetime earnings, the higher the benefit payment would be. In order for a person to qualify for retirement benefits, a certain number of “credits” are needed, depending on the age of the worker. For a worker born in 1929 or later, a total of 40 credits is needed. That is equivalent to 10 years of employment with regular payments to the SSA deducted from their paychecks.

  • Benefits can be collected when a minimum age is achieved, depending on when the individual was born.
  • This chart show the year of birth and the retirement age at which one can begin receiving Social Security benefits.
  • Most Social Security payments are now sent to recipients by means of direct deposit, but if a check needs to be cut, then it is mailed from the Department of the Treasury to the individual.

You may have heard people say: “Social Security isn’t an entitlement, it’s an earned benefit!” meaning that these are benefits we have earned and paid for with deductions from our paychecksnot gifts

  • An “entitlement,” as a type of federal spending, is a government program in which recipients automatically receive benefits that they’re eligible for based on the applicable legislation.
  • Social Security is an entitlement because everyone who meets the eligibility criteria (40 “quarters” of eligible earnings) is entitled to a benefit. No one is dependent on Congress to appropriate spending every year in order to receive their Social Security checks.

The term “Federal Benefit Payment” shown at the bottom of this resource page of the website Answers.USA.gov says: “USA.gov is the US government’s official web portal.” It is not being used on any publications or website of the Social Security Administration. (but by other government agencies to describe other US Treasury payments.)

We pray:

  • In gratitude for the correct information to dispel unfounded rumors and restore public confidence!

Myths and misstatements of fact frequently circulate on the Internet, with endless “loops of misinformation”. One set of such misinformation involves the history of our Social Security system

Myth: President Roosevelt promised that participation in the program would be completely “voluntary”.

Facts: Persons working in employment covered by Social Security are subject to the FICA payroll tax. Like all taxes, this has never been voluntary. From the first days of the program to the present, anyone working on a job covered by Social Security has been obligated to pay their payroll taxes. In the early years of the program only about half the jobs in the economy were covered by Social Security. People could work in non-covered employment and not have to pay FICA taxes (and would not be eligible to collect future Social Security benefits). However, if a person worked at a job that was covered, participation in Social Security was mandatory.

Myth: President Roosevelt promised that the money the participants elected to put into the program would be

deductible from their income for tax purposes each year.

Facts: There was never any provision of law making the Social Security taxes paid by employees deductible for income tax purposes. In fact, the 1935 law expressly forbids this idea, in Section 803 of Title VIII.

Myth: President Roosevelt promised that the money the participants paid would be put into the independent

“Trust Fund,” rather than into the General operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement program and no other Government program.

Facts: There has never been any change in the way the Social Security program is financed or the way that Social Security payroll taxes are used by the federal government. The Social Security Trust Fund was created in 1939 as part of the Amendments enacted in that year. From its inception, the Trust Fund has always worked the same way. The Social Security Trust Fund has never been “put into the general fund of the government.” This myth comes from the confusion between the financing of the Social Security program and the way the Social Security Trust Fund is treated in federal budget accounting. Starting in 1969 (due to action by the Johnson Administration in 1968) the transactions to the Trust Fund were included in what is known as the “unified budget“, where every function of the federal government is included in a single budget. (This is described as being “on-budget.” In 1990, the SS Trust Funds were again taken “off-budget.”) This means only that they are shown as a separate account in the federal budget; it has no effect on the actual operations of the Trust Fund itself.

Myth: President Roosevelt promised that the annuity payments to retirees would never be taxed as income.

Originally, Social Security benefits were not taxable income.

Facts: This was not a provision of the law, nor was there anything that President Roosevelt did or could have “promised.” It was the result of a series of administrative rulings issued by the Treasury Department in the early years of the program. The taxation of Social Security began in 1984 following the passage of a set of Amendments, which were signed into law by President Reagan in April 1983. These amendments passed the Congress on an overwhelmingly bi-partisan vote and overrode the earlier administrative rulings from the Treasury Department. The basic rule put in place was that up to 50% of Social Security benefits could be added to taxable income if the taxpayer’s total income exceeded certain thresholds. The taxation of benefits was a proposal which came from the Greenspan Commission appointed by President Reagan and chaired by Alan Greenspan.

We pray:

  • That we would learn the facts and not forward or circulate misinformation. Many are being continually “alarmed” by posts and articles, intended to shake our faith – disturb our emotions – and strike fear into our hearts! As Vice President Pence reminded us last week, we need to spend more time on our knees than on the internet.”

Other Social Security facts that might be helpful:

Until the 1980s, Social Security Cards expressly stated that SS cards and numbers were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message “NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION” was removed. If you legally change your name because of marriage, divorce, court order or any other reason, you must tell Social Security and get a corrected card. You cannot apply online. There is no charge for a Social Security card. This applies to the I-766 card, Employment Authorization Document (EAD), from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is NOT the same as Social Security. Neither immigrants nor anyone else is able to collect Social Security benefits without someone paying Social Security payroll taxes into the system. Many people confuse the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program with Social Security.

  • The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program is a federal welfare program. No contributions from immigrants or citizens or anyone else, is required for eligibility.
  • The SSI program pays benefits to disabled adults and children who have limited income and resources, as well as to people 65 and older without disabilities who meet the financial limits.
  • Some who have worked long enough may also be able to receive Social Security disability or retirement benefits, as well as SSI. Under certain conditions, immigrants can qualify for SSI benefits.
  • The SSI program was an initiative of the Nixon Administration and was signed into law by President Richard Nixon on October 30, 1972, enabling some immigrants to qualify for SSI…not Social Security.

We pray:

  • That having had this focus as a “primer” – an introduction to understanding our Social Security system – we will have the confidence to speak out to clarify baseless rumors and misinformation!
  • That we will know that our only TRUE SECURITY is in Christ ALONE, and that all the world systems, that seems to control our lives, are “under His feet” and that when he comes in GLORY, all will know that HE IS LORD!
  • We bless our President, and those in alignment with him who are trying to review, renew and manage the various government systems to better serve our people. We pray they might do so quickly and efficiently!

Specific Prayer Topic for Today

Praying for the Mass Media in our Nation

Amazon has abruptly removed several books that present a different perspective on same-sex attraction and gender than the one promoted by LGBT proponents. They yielded to pressure from one activist in Britain who repeatedly complained about testimonies and books that presented an alternative to the LGBT narrative and took down all books written by Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, Sr., a psychologist who assisted hundreds of clients in addressing unwanted same-sex attractions. On the other hand, Amazon sells books that promote same-sex attraction and gender confusion!

We pray:

  • In agreement with Mat Staver, of LIBERTY COUNSEL, who said: Amazon is engaging in a modern-day book burning. Internet companies received federal immunity from civil suits under section 230 of the Communications Decency Act when they were neutral conduits. These companies no longer deserve such protection now that they have become censors. It is time for Congress to amend the law and regulate these providers like any other public utility.”
