Worshiping the KING OF GLORY
Walking in the Reflection of His Light
Praise (halal) the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty expanse.
Praise Him for His mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise Him with trumpet sound;
Praise Him with harp and lyre.
Praise Him with timbrel and dancing;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
Psalm 150

Strategic Target for today: Manifest Glory
Let us set this week aside to honor and worship our King. He has done magnificent things in our nation over the past few months. He has brought us into deeper places of intimacy and love. He alone is our constant focus and desire. As we worship the LORD, let us come into a greater understanding the meaning of the different word forms for worship.
Let us praise the Names of God throughout this week of Worship, remembering Judah, “Praise” always goes first before the presence of the LORD is manifest.
Jehovah Jireh (The Lord Will Provide) Genesis 22:14
Jehovah Shalom (The Lord Is Peace) Judges 6:24
Jehovah Sabaoth (The Lord of Hosts) 1 Samuel 1:3

halal haw-lal’ (1984)
Praise, extol. To be clear, to shine, to make a show, to boast to be clamorously foolish; to rave, to celebrate.
In Hebrew the summons to praise is usually in the plural – hallelu.
Composed of 2 elements: the 2nd pers. pl. masc, imperative piel of the root halal, which in the piel means “to praise;” and the abbreviated form of the divine Name yah.
Combined with the short form of Yahweh – yah – this is where we get the word “Hallelujah!” hallelu-jah = “Bright foolish praise to the Great I Am!” (Alleluia is the same – the Hebrew “h” is a ‘ in Hebrew, pronounced as an “h.”)
Used 24 times in this form.
Ps. 22:22 I will tell of Thy name to my brethren; in the midst of the assembly, I will halal Thee.
Not just in my prayer room, but I will shout and act clamorously foolish declaring thy name in the midst of the congregation. You want to bring Him on the scene? Praise Him! He inhabits those praises.
Praise (halal) with dancing – Ps. 149:3; with music – Ps. 150:1-5; with a song – Ps. 69:31
[Say with halal – 13 times)
