Worshiping the KING OF GLORY
Walking in the Reflection of His Light
“These things I remember and I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God, with the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.”
Psalm 42:4

Strategic Target for today: Manifest Glory
Let us set this week aside to honor and worship our King. He has done magnificent things in our nation over the past few months. He has brought us into deeper places of intimacy and love. He alone is our constant focus and desire. As we worship the LORD, let us come into a greater understanding the meaning of the different word forms for worship.
Let us praise the Names of God throughout this week of Worship, remembering Judah, “Praise” always goes first before the presence of the LORD is manifest.
El Elyon (The Most High God) Psalm 7:17

towdah to-daw’ (8426)
An extension of the hand in adoration; a sacrifice of praise
To raise the hands sacrificially; not because you necessarily feel like it but because God’s Word tells you to do it – an expression of what is in your heart
Ps. 100:4
Ps. 42:4 “with a the voice (qol – sound, thundering) of joy and thanksgiving (towdah)
Read the first 3 verses to see what David was going through. David’s heart was sorrowful but he made the decision to praise the Lord despite the circumstances. Despite our situation, we choose to give God a sacrifice of praise.
Praise starts in the heart and mind and then is expressed by the body.
Hands go up and even when the pressure is on, not waiting for the Spirit to move, but choosing to give forth a sacrificial worship by the extension of hands.
tehillah teh-hil-law’ noun (8416; from 1984 halal))
Laudation, spontaneous praise, singing, dancing. The singing of halal – a hymn of praise
Ps. 22:3 “He inhabits the tehillah of His people.
Ps. 9:14 “That I may tell of all Thy praises”
God is the object of this praise; His deeds are the reason for it. He is therefore “the God of my tehillah”
Ps. 109:1 or even “my tehillah” Jer. 17:14
Ps 100:4
