Apr 2, 2020 – Prayer Focus
Thursday, April 2, 2020 – The 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call
“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”
1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #
We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!
“How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.”
1 Kings 18:21
We sing: I Will Choose Christ
I will choose Christ, I will choose love, I choose to serve. I give my heart, I give my life, I give my all to You.
How many times must He call my name, and show to me that He is God.
And as a servant He calls to me: “you must serve, too.”
I will choose Christ, I will choose love, I choose to serve. I give my heart, I give my life, I give my all to you.
Christ, my Teacher and Healer, teach my heart and heal my soul.
And as I walk this road with You, teach me to love.
I will choose Christ, I will choose love, I choose to serve. I give my heart, I give my life, I give my all to You.
And as I look upon Your cross, so must I die with You.
And with the death of my own desires, I shall rise with You.
I will choose Christ, I will choose love, I choose to serve. I give my heart, I give my life, I give my all to You.

The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for our President’s protection from the coronavirus and cover him with the Blood of Jesus.
Let him respond to every situation by the leading of the Holy Spirit!
We refer those to You who are plotting and planning the demise of our beloved President!
We say “No!” to them and ask that You expose and foil all their plans! Thank You, Lord!
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.
We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family
and all those serving in this Administration.
We pray for the mass media, which is allowing itself to be used and exploited by the “father of lies.”
We ask that it either reverses course and reports accurately or be taken down.
We pray for the Federal Reserve Board members, to use their power to boost our nation’s economy.
Let them act in accord with what is good for the USA!
The 24/7 NSPC is praying for the 2020 National Elections,
positioning ourselves in intercession before the Lord on behalf of our President and nation!
COUNTDOWN: 216 days until the election!
Let us pray into this verse:
“I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me.”
Psalm 119:30
Strategic Focus for Thursday
WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
I WILL CHOOSE CHRIST
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.”
Colossians 2:6-7
In these times of great uncertainty, God’s Word is the place we can turn to for strength. Those who have chosen CHRIST “walk in Him” …and having placed our trust in Him, we refuse to entertain the spirit of fear that has terrorized our nation!
As the Covid-19 virus sweeps through the world, causing multitudes to be sick, putting the nations in quarantine, and bringing death to thousands…what we considered “normal life” is no more. Things have come to a standstill in the natural…but for those who are in Christ.. there is fire…HOLY FIRE!
We pray:
- That the FIRE OF GOD will burn continuously on the altars of our hearts, and sparks from that FIRE will ignite the hearts of those who have been prepared to hear and receive the TRUTH we will share! Pray.
The word quarantine comes from the Italian “quarantena” which simply means “40 days”. This word was first used in Venice in the 14th Century. Ships that came in from countries that were suffering with plague would be “quarantined” for 40 days to ensure they did not spread their illness.
During these days of quarantine…we are on lockdown…“entombed” as it were, because of the stay-at-home orders connected to the outbreak of the coronavirus. How will we choose to use this time? Will we be in the secret place with our Lord…communing with Him? What we do now will determine our Resurrection morn.
As we approach Palm Sunday this weekend, we remember Jesus’ “TRIUMPHAL ENTRY” into Jerusalem to shouts of “Hosanna!” (“Save us, Lord!”) Many Christians from liturgical churches will then walk with Jesus through the HOLY WEEK…celebrating the institution of the Lord’s Supper on Thursday, focusing on the centrality of the Cross as they weep over our Lord’s crucifixion, passion and death on Good Friday, and then, will stand watch with the whole world, and waiting in joyful expectation, will anticipate the empty tomb on Resurrection Day!
We pray:
- That the Church of Jesus Christ will prepare herself for her finest hour when she will arise from this entombment, and along with her Beloved, show the world the true power of the Resurrection! Pray.
In this “season of grace”, we are invited to put first things first…to return to God. In Hebrew, the word for repentance is teshuva. It means a turning back, a return to God. The season of Lent serves as a “turning point”…a time when we are called to prioritize the spiritual over the worldly. Too many of us are pursuing entertainment and the “comforts” of this world, seeking security in investments and retirement funds, looking to the government to provide for our needs, worshiping things… rather than God!
With no sports, social gatherings, concerts or conferences, we have now been provided a different season in which to prepare our hearts for a joyous Resurrection celebration on April 12th. This is actually an opportunity to put aside worldly pursuits to make space for God.
- In spring gardening: we clear out a good patch of ground – pull up weeds and then turn over the soil to receive the new seed to be planted.
- Grace, like seed, needs space to grow in our hearts. We often resist God’s grace and will in our lives, because we simply don’t allow space in our busy lives.
- Making room for Him can be hard – even painful – but this time of quarantine creates the opportunity for us as a community of believers to do just that. Today’s quarantine is brushing aside social gatherings, sports, and entertainment in a way that would be too painful for many of us to do on our own. So, we have a rare window to clear the soil of our hearts.
The Greek word for “conversion” is metanoia, which means a change of thinking and a transformative change of heart. Conversion is not just accepting that Christ died for my sins…it involves the restructuring of our whole mindset. All our worldly values are shaken up and turned upside down when we experience a true conversion.
We pray:
- Father, we surrender anew to Your love today! We place our lives in Your gentle hands and ask that during this time of preparation, that You will have Your way in us! Do Your work in us…cleansing, molding and shaping us into the Image of Jesus, Your Son! Pray.
Our heavenly Father loves us and knows what we need…so let’s take this opportunity to refocus, setting our minds and hearts on our King and his Kingdom, that we might grow in His grace and find our peace and rest in Him!
Let’s read these verses and pray into them, on behalf of our beloved President, who is carrying a tremendous burden for our nation and people…and for ourselves and our loved ones!
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Matthew 6:33-34
Pray.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.“
Philippians 4:6-7
Pray.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7
Pray.
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
Pray.
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
John 14:27
Pray.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
Ephesians 6:10-13
Pray.
