We sing: Freedom Reigns

Where the spirit of the Lord is…there is freedom!

Where the spirit of the Lord is…there is freedom!

Lift Your eyes to heaven…there is freedom!

Lift Your eyes to heaven…there is freedom!

Freedom reigns in this place, showers of mercy and grace falling on every face…there is freedom!

If You’re tired and thirsty…there is freedom!

Give Your all to Jesus! Give Him all…there is freedom!

for the safety and security of President Donald John Trump,

and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!

We cover them all with the Blood of Jesus.

We ask that in every situation and decision, President Trump will be led by the Holy Spirit!

Pray.

and together, we affirm Donald Trump as our duly elected President!

Pray.

We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen, and their family.

We pray that the evil actions of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be exposed

and that they be removed from office!

Strategic Focus for Thursday

WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!

The Battle Spreads Throughout the Nation! KADIMA! – Part 24

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

2 Corinthians 3:17

The National Day of Prayer takes place annually on the first Thursday of May, at which time all Americans are called to pray for our nation. We affirm and enter into the Judeo-Christian expression of this national observance, understanding that this country was birthed in prayer and in reverence for the God of the Bible.  This year’s verse,  2 Corinthians 3:17, is amplified in the 2021 NDP theme: “Lord, pour out Your Life, Love and Liberty!”  Pray.

Abraham Lincoln said during the Civil War,

“It is the duty of nations

to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history

that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.”

 Psalm 33:12

Pray.

Fasting and prayer are religious exercises; the enjoining them, an act of discipline

Every religious society has a right to determine for itself the time for these exercises

and the objects proper for them, according to their own particular tenets;

and right can never be safer than in their hands, where the Constitution has deposited it.”

—Thomas Jefferson, 1808

Pray.

Due to the faith of our Founding Fathers, public prayer and national days of prayer have a long-standing and significant history in American tradition. Since the first call to prayer in 1775, when the Continental Congress asked the colonies to pray for wisdom in forming a nation, the call to prayer has continued through our history:

  • In 1863, President Lincoln proclaimed  a day of “humiliation, fasting, and prayer”
  • In 1952, a joint resolution by Congress declared an annual national day of prayer and was signed by President Truman,
  • The Supreme Court affirmed the right of state legislatures to open their sessions with prayer in Marsh vs. Chambers (1983).
  • In 1988, the law permanently setting the day as the first Thursday of every May was signed by President Reagan.
  • Each year, the US president has signed a NDP proclamation, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day.
  • Last year, all 50 state governors, and several governors of U.S. territories, signed similar proclamations.
  • There have been 1,526 state and federal calls for national prayer since 1775…and counting…

We pray:

  • That on this day, in particular, we will recall and to teach the way in which our Founding Fathers sought the wisdom of God when faced with critical decisions. Pray.
  • That all Americans will hear the call to humbly come before God, seeking His guidance for our leaders and His grace upon us as a people.  Pray.
  • That across this nation, citizens will recognize that establishing the National Day of Prayer as an annual event signifies that prayer is as important to our nation today as it was in the beginning. Pray.

Like Thanksgiving or Christmas, this day is observed annually across the nation. Every year, local, state, and federal observances are held from sunrise in Maine to sunset in Hawaii, uniting Americans from all socio-economic, political and ethnic backgrounds in prayer for our nation. Two years ago (pre-COVID), it was estimated that over two million people attended more than 30,000 observances…organized by approximately 40,000 volunteers…at State Capitols, County Court Houses, at City Halls, in schools, businesses, churches and in people’s homes. Throughout the land, Americans stop their activities and come together in prayer. May there be even more participation this year, for the needs is so great!

We pray:

  • Spirit search us, convict us, as we repent for our sin and the sins of America.  We rejoice, knowing that Your forgiveness makes us acceptable and effective vessels for Your love, life and liberty to overflow in our lives and families.  We pray that America will be united in love to serve You with all our hearts as we pray, love;  live and walk by the Spirit. Conform and transform us as we pray and proclaim:

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

Pray.

The National Day of Prayer belongs to all Americans. It is a day that transcends differences, bringing together citizens from all backgrounds. Mrs. Shirley Dobson, NDP Chairman Emeritus, reminded us:

“We have lost many of our freedoms in America because we have been asleep

I feel if we do not become involved and support the annual National Day of Prayer

we could end up forfeiting this freedom, too.”

Pray.

We pray:

  • That as it was 2,000 years ago,  the followers of Jesus will be the messengers on whose hearts God’s love letters are written, and we will overflow with His love as our mouths speak His truth to all!  Pray.
  • That the Spirit of the Lord will be poured out across America, filling our lives, families, churches, workplace, education, military, government, arts, entertainment and media, with  Biblical values, and a Spirit-empowered, Spirit-filled longing for “LOVE, LIFE and LIBERTY”. Pray.

On this 70-year-old anniversary of the NDP, believers wanted to go to the US Capitol to worship and pray for the redemption of this nation on behalf of all Americans. Yet, sadly, for the first time in years, no prayer service will be conducted at the US Capitol.  The Reverend Patrick Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition, said that his request to host this year’s National Day of Prayer at the Capitol building on Thursday, May 6, 2021 has been refused, and he tweeted out:

“After our permit was denied, for the first time in 70 years

there will be NO PUBLIC witness at the U.S. Capitol Building for the National Day Of Prayer

Brothers and sisters, free speech is in danger today in America.”

Mahoney asserted that the “People’s House” must be restored to the American people as a place that all Americans can openly enjoy and express their First Amendment rights and that those rights and freedoms are being ignored and prohibited.

“It is deeply troubling for the first time in 70 years,

there will not be a public prayer service at the United States Capitol Building on the National Day of Prayer.

Every American needs to be asking the question,

‘How is it possible to have public prayer prohibited at the Capitol on the National Day of Prayer?’

– especially when it is a national observance designated by Congress.”

President Trump praised God for the “gift of faith” at the White House National Day of Prayer observance in 2020 and issued NDP Proclamations each year of his presidency…as has every US president since 1952. (As of this writing, the imposter occupying the Oval Office has failed to produce a National Day of Prayer proclamation.) Pray.

On this, our 2021 National Day of Prayer:

  • We honor and affirm before God, our duly elected President Donald John Trump, and call him forth into his place as the leader of our nation. Pray.
  • That as President Trump steps forward, the Spirit of the American Revolution will rise up in the hearts of the people, incentivizing us even further in our desire to take back our country from the forces of darkness that are trying to destroy it now! Pray.
  • We ask that Joe Biden will be ushered out of the White House, and that President Trump will take his rightful place there,  as our nation’s leader. Pray
  • We pray for those fighting on the front lines for righteousness and justice in the 2020 elections, in each and every state, will be preserved and protected, and that they will PREVAIL in proving then seeing the reversal of the fraud and corruption that has devastated our nation. Pray.
  • We pray for the letter we sent to President Trump. We are grateful for it having reached his office and ask for a speedily and affirmative response from him. Pray.
  • May we soon have an “appointed place” and an “appointed time” for our meeting with President Trump! Pray.
