We sing: Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!

Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!

The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!

We pray for our President’s protection and cover him with the Blood of Jesus, as he is in one of the most difficult moments of his Presidency. Let him respond to every situation by the leading of the Holy Spirit!

We refer those to You who are plotting and planning the demise of our beloved President!

We say “No!” to them and ask that You expose and foil all their plans! Thank You, Lord!

We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.

We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family

and all those serving in this Administration.

We pray for the Federal Reserve Board members, to use their power to boost our nation’s economy.

Let them no longer resist our President’s requests to act in accord with what is good for the USA!

The 24/7 NSPC is praying for the 2020 National Elections,

positioning ourselves in intercession before the Lord on behalf of our President and nation!

COUNTDOWN: 292 days until the election!

Let us pray into this verse:

“For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.”

Strategic Focus for Friday

WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Celebrating Religious Freedom in the Midst of a Trial

“The Lord shall cause thy enemies that rise up against you, to be smitten before your face;

one way shall they come against you, and will flee before you 7 ways.

Deuteronomy 28:7

Eve Nunez, one of our 24/7 ministry partners from DC, notes that “there are 7 impeachment managers…one for each of the 7 ways the enemies of our President will flee before him!”  We agree!  Yesterday, in the midst of all the political posturing by the President’s enemies as the first day of the impeachment trial got underway in the Senate Chamber, President Trump was busy at work…protecting the First Amendment rights of students to pray in their in public elementary and secondary schools across the United States

Our Founders understood that no right is more fundamental to a peaceful, prosperous, and virtuous society than the right to follow one’s religious convictions, and it was so refreshing to see our President with those beautiful young people, from Christian, Jewish and other faiths, who joined him in the Oval Office as he expressed his support for students and affirmed their constitutional right to express their religion in public schools.

Announcing the new guidelines on Constitutional Prayer in public schools, he said: “You have the right to pray and that’s a very important and powerful right. I’ll be taking action to safeguard students and teachers’ First Amendment rights to pray in our schools. They want to take that right along with many other ones. We will not let anyone push God from the public square. We will uphold religious liberty for all.”

The President outlined his Administration’s plan to protect school prayer, which focuses on ensuring current protections are understood and enforced. The update will help safeguard students’ rights by giving education providers and students the most current information concerning prayer in public schools. It will also reaffirm that to receive Federal funds, local educational agencies must confirm that their policies do not prevent or interfere with the constitutionally protected rights outlined in the guidance.

The Department of Education will issue updated guidance on prayer. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos also praised the Administration’s efforts, stating that she shares President Trump’s “commitment to religious freedom and the First Amendment. Our actions today will protect the constitutional rights of students, teachers, and faith-based institutions.” The department is proposing regulations related to the protection of religious student groups in public higher education institutions, including how students report discrimination. At a January 3rd rally, the President said: “Together, we’re not only are we defending our Constitutional rights, we’re also defending religion itself, which is under siege. Every Democrat candidate running for president is trying to punish religious believers and silence our churches and our pastors.”

We pray:

  • In the very moment our President’s enemies were trying to deprive him of his office and the ability to

make and keep America great, he was assuring the rights of our nation’s youth to pray in school! Bless him, Lord, and cause his foes to be turned away, fleeing before You and him, in utter shame!

White House Domestic Policy Council Director Joe Grogan said that the guidance, which hasn’t been updated since 2003, will remind school districts of the rights of students, parents and teachers, and will empower students in others to confidently know and exercise their rights.”  Highlighting why the updated guidance is needed, Grogan pointed to a group of middle school students in Texas who were repeatedly told not to pray in their school cafeteria during lunch break by the school principal, a decision that was later reversed by school district officials. Among the students and teachers who were there from across the country was William McLeod, a Utah student whose teacher had instructed him to wash off the Ash Wednesday ashes from his forehead last year!  Things like this can hamper the student’s free expression of faith, and are not to be tolerated!

To amplify the President’s message, the Department of Education is sending a letter to state Education Secretaries, reminding them of students’ protected First Amendment religious rights, explaining current rules and reminding them that their schools could lose federal funding if they mistreat religious students. These efforts will help stop the erosion of existing protections driven by growing hostility toward religion. “President Trump is committed to making sure that people of faith, particularly children, are not subjected to illegal punishment or pressure for exercising their constitutionally protected rights.”

We pray:

  • In gratitude for a President who embraces our future, embodied in our children, and protects their hearts and rights, so that they have the opportunity to pray freely in the midst of their fellow students.

Speaking in Miami earlier this month, President Trump hinted that the action would be made official on January 16th…National Religious Freedom Day…which commemorates the Virginia General Assembly’s adoption of Thomas Jefferson’s landmark Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom on January 16, 1786. That statute became the basis for the establishment clause of the First Amendment of the US Constitution and led to freedom of religion for all Americans.  Religious Freedom Day has been officially proclaimed on January 16th in an annual statement by the President of the United States since 1993.

Although school-sponsored prayers were outlawed by the Supreme Court in 1962, the new guidance makes it clear that students can read religious texts or pray during recess and other non-instructional periods, organize prayer groups, form religious clubs and express their religious beliefs in their assignments. The updated guidance is meant to underscore those rights.

We pray:

  • That by clarifying these rights for students and parents, there will be a new liberty for Christian students to exercise their rights, so they can freely share the GOOD NEWS about Jesus with their classmates, especially those from faiths that do not acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior!

The updated guidance for students is just one of three actions the Trump administration is taking in a continued effort by the President to “defend the constitutionally protected right to the free exercise of religions.”

  • In addition to the rights of students, the administration will make sure the federal government is being consistent in not discriminating against organizations because of a religious designation, ensuring that they can compete on a level playing field for funding, without discrimination.
  • The Office of Management and Budget will also be releasing a memo requiring federal agencies to make sure their grant-making processes are in compliance with First Amendment protections
  • The Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services and seven other federal offices will adjust the guidelines governing church-state partnerships, in order to ensure religiously affiliated social service organizations don’t have to alter their religious identities in order to receive government funds. “Americans of faith play an essential role in providing health care and human services to so many vulnerable people and communities, and President Trump is dedicated to removing every unfair barrier that stands in the way of this important work,” said HHS Secretary Alex Azar in his department’s statement. The new guidelines will remove “discriminatory regulatory burdens that the Obama administration placed on religious organizations that receive federal funding.  The proposed rules remove the alternative provider requirement established by then-President Obama, which required faith-based organizations running social service programs to refer a beneficiary to an alternative provider if he or she objects to the religious character of the organization.

We pray:

  • In gratitude for a President who is lifting regulatory burdens and setting people free to exercise their First Amendment rights. Let all Americans achieve the blessing of life, liberty and the pursuit of virtue (happiness) that comes when there is true religious freedom!

The Trump Administration is committed to CHAMPIONING RELIGIOUS FREEDOM!

Let us read and say AMEN!  to these actions which show  President Trump’s longstanding commitment to safeguarding the fundamental right to religious freedom.

  • During his first year in office, President Trump signed an Executive Order upholding religious liberty and the right to engage in religious speech. AMEN!
  • President Trump signed an Executive Order recognizing the essential contributions of faith-based organizations and establishing the Faith and Opportunity Initiative.  AMEN!
  • The Administration continues to unequivocally stand up for religious liberty in the courts.  AMEN!
  • President Trump reversed the Obama-era policy that prevented the government from providing disaster relief to religious organizations.  AMEN!
  • Last year, President Trump hosted a Global Call to Protect Religious Freedom event at the United Nations and called on the international community and business leaders to work to protect religious freedom around the world. AMEN!
  • The Administration has stood up for religious liberty around the world, partnering with local and faith-based organizations to provide assistance to vulnerable religious minorities. AMEN!

God, thank You for our President! Be with him, protect and secure him every moment, and guide him in every word, every action and in every decision he makes!  We commit him to You! Keep him as YOUR OWN… always! AMEN!
