  The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!

We pray for our President’s protection and cover him with the Blood of Jesus, as he passes through difficult moments of his Presidency. Let him respond to every situation by the leading of the Holy Spirit!

We refer those to You who are plotting and planning the demise of our beloved President! 

We say “No!” to them and ask that You expose and foil all their plans! Thank You, Lord! 

We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.

We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family

and all those serving in this Administration. 

We pray for the Federal Reserve Board members, to use their power to boost our nation’s economy. 

Let them no longer resist our President’s requests to act in accord with what is good for the USA!  

The 24/7 NSPC is praying for the 2020 National Elections, 

positioning ourselves in intercession before the Lord on behalf of our President and nation!

WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 

The Valley of Decision 

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision!  For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

Joel 3:14

Yesterday, the Supreme Court Justices heard their first major abortion case since Justice Neil Gorsuch and Justice Brett Kavanaugh came to SCOTUS. Outside the Court, there were multitudes who came to stand for life…and unite in prayer while the hearing was going on.  Across the grounds of the Supreme Court building, as well as all across this nation, pro-life advocates were interceding for those speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves. We were all watching and waiting, praying for the 9 Justices who are now in the “valley of decision”!

The case in dispute involves a Louisiana law that requires abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital in case a patient experiences complications during or after a procedure.

  • Those backing the law say that it regulates abortion providers in the same way other medical providers are regulated by the state.
  • Opponents say that it is targeted at abortion providers with the goal of shutting them down.

The division on the Court was clear. Throughout the process, the 4 liberal Justices vocally defended the right to an abortion. Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor, Stephen Breyer and Elena Kagan each challenged the lawyers arguing Louisiana’s case throughout the arguments, while indirectly sparring with their more conservative colleagues through the questions they asked.

  • Justice Sotomayor said: “This law unduly burdens a woman’s right to abortion.”
  • Justice Ginsburg asked: “What sense does it make considering that — certainly for medication abortions and for the overwhelming number of abortions, if a woman has a problem, it will be her local hospital…she will need to go to for care.” 
  • Justice Breyer consistently challenged the lawyer for Louisiana. In one exchange, he asked her to point to what she thought was the best part of her case so he could study it closely and attempt to see her point of view. 
  • Justice Kagan pushed back on Louisiana’s lawyer as well, saying, “It seems that (a major precedent for this case) precludes you from making this credentialing argument.”

We pray:

  • That God will break the power of witchcraft over the minds of the liberal Justices, so they can discern the merits of this case and rule justly!  PRAY.
  • That they will be convicted of the untenable position they have taken… as opponents of life… and God!  PRAY.
  • That the women Justices recognize their part in the continuance of this atrocity, and repent, ruling rightly!  PRAY.

On the conservative side:

  • Justice Samuel Alito was nearly as combative as the liberal justices, but in defense of some of Louisiana’s arguments.  
  • Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Chief Justice John Roberts wondered whether the state law would be an “undue burden” to a woman’s right, if few or any doctors would have problems getting admitting privileges. “Assume all the doctors who currently perform abortions can obtain admitting privileges, could you say that the law still imposes an undue burden, even if there were no effect?” asked Justice Kavanaugh. Justice Roberts suggested other states may have different standards that might be constitutional.
  • Justice Neil Gorsuch did not speak during the oral arguments and neither did Justice Clarence Thomas, as is typical for him.

We pray:

  • That the Justices will hold their cards close to the vest and have “eyes to see and ears to hear” what the Spirit is saying to them, and render the righteous decisions that will validate their right to be seated on that bench.  PRAY.
  • That, although he did not tip his hand during the hour of spirited arguments in the Court on Wednesday,  if Chief Justice John Roberts is the deciding vote, he will make the right and righteous decision, and uphold the LA law. PRAY.

Abortion advocates are concerned that an adverse ruling for June Medical Services will start a chain reaction that will significantly hinder abortion rights nationwide. 

  • When the Supreme Court agreed to hear it in October, Planned Parenthood Federation of America acting President and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson said” “Access to abortion is hanging by a thread in this country, and this case is what could snap that thread.”   
  • June Medical services argues that the law plainly presents an “undue burden” on women’s right to abortion because, there would only be one abortion doctor left to do the procedure in the state.

Proponents of the law say that the law and its effects are unique to the state, that Louisiana’s law is tailored to deal with a unique history of safety issues at Louisiana abortion clinics, the bill was signed into law by Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, a Democrat, and that the Supreme Court should side with the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in upholding it.

  • Susan B. Anthony List President of Government Affairs Marilyn Musgrave, said: “Louisiana’s abortion businesses have a long and well-documented history of serious health and safety violations that have systematically placed women and girls at risk, and the state has an obligation to regulate these businesses just as they regulate all other ambulatory surgical centers. It is disingenuous for anyone to claim they care about women and yet actively work to lower the bar on women’s health and safety.”
  • Arkansas Attorney general Leslie Rutledge said: “I certainly will not stand idly by and allow abortion providers to erase laws that protect women from abortion practitioners.” 
  • The State said that some abortion doctors have not made a good-faith effort to obtain admitting privileges at a local hospital, that they are “slow-walking” the process to bolster their argument that the law creates an undue burden to women seeking abortions.
  • “This case really is legitimately about the health and safety of women,” said Rep. Mike Johnson, R-LA. “If they have difficulty finding qualified providers for this service that they provide, that is not the problem, or the concern of the state. The state’s concern is in the health and safety of women. And for the abortion industry to come and complain to the regulators and say gee whiz, we can’t find qualified doctors who can obtain omitting privileges to a hospital, is not a sufficient reason to strike down a common-sense constitutional regulation.”

We pray: 

  • That the thread snaps and that no more lives will be ended through abortion on our nation!  PRAY. 
  • That the law will not only make getting an abortion more difficult, but by addressing the “credentialing” function, it will provide for the physical wellbeing those women who sought abortions. PRAY.

Backers of the law have argued it is not a politically motivated effort to shut down women’s rights (as it has been characterized by the left). Democratic Louisiana State Senator Katrina Jackson, (a state representative when she sponsored the Louisiana law), said the admitting privileges law was one primarily pushed by women. “This is the thing how this bill came about: (as) a female legislator I was asked to bring this bill by women advocates who had suffered from abortions. Women attorneys helped draft this bill. And a woman solicitor general will argue this bill before the Supreme Court.

Third-party” standing was a major issue during oral arguments yesterday, and this case could turn on the issue of “third-party” standing, (meaning one person’s right to bring a court case on behalf of somebody else).  

  • Conservative Justice Alito went back and forth with some of the liberal Justices on whether or not June Medical Services even has a right to bring the case.  He said “that’s amazing” twice in response to arguments that June had  “third-party” standing, despite challenging a health regulation meant to protect women from complications caused by abortion providers and that “a party should not be able to [sue] ostensibly to protect the rights of other people” if that party has interests that are at odds with the people whose rights it claims to be protecting.
  • Liberal Justice Breyer said that to prevent the abortion providers from suing would “require directly or indirectly overturning eight cases of this court.”
  • The State of Louisiana says that because its law is not a general restriction on abortion but instead a health regulation, that the interests of the abortion clinics are actually in conflict with their patients.  Abortion clinics want to make as much money as possible with as little state regulation as possible…while patients have a vested interest in the procedure being safe.

If the Justices rule there is no standing to bring the case, they could turn it back without even ruling on the merits, letting the Louisiana law take full effect.  Either way, the case before the Justices has the potential to set the tone for abortion litigation and legislation for the foreseeable future. Pro-choice advocates will seek to protect and expand abortion access…while pro-life advocates see themselves as playing a long game, with the goal of eventually getting the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.

  • That the Justices will use common sense and not allow pressure from the left to sway their decisions. PRAY.

Speaking of “pressure”, Chief Justice John Roberts issued a highly unusual and forceful rebuke to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer  (D-NY), calling threatening remarks directed at Associate Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh “irresponsible” and “dangerous.” Schumer’s office slammed Roberts and accused him of bias. 

The extraordinary back-and-forth began hours earlier at a pro-choice rally hosted by the Center for Reproductive Rights, when Schumer ominously singled out President Trump’s two Supreme Court picks: “I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price! You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” Schumer warned.

Roberts replied in a written statement: This morning, Senator Schumer spoke at a rally in front of the Supreme Court while a case was being argued inside. Senator Schumer referred to two Members of the Court by name and said he wanted to tell them that ‘You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You will not know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.’  Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous. All Members of the Court will continue to do their job, without fear or favor, from whatever quarter.”

We pray:

  • That Chief Justice John Roberts will stand firm and lead the way for RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE, not just be a “swing vote”. PRAY.
  • That Schumer will live to regret his inappropriate threats and that the fear of God will come upon this arrogant, vile, demonically controlled man. PRAY.
  • That his mouth will be shut, and that he is removed from Congress and stripped of any and all influence he has had, so that he might be brought to a point of decision where he can see all that he has done, and cry out to God for forgiveness! PRAY.
