“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”

We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!

 “The Lord is my Rock and my Fortress and my Deliverer; my God, my Strength, in whom I will trust;

my Shield and the Horn of my Salvation, my Stronghold.

I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.”

Psalm 18:2-3

We sing: I Will Call Upon the Lord

I will call upon the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved from my enemies.

I will call upon the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved from my enemies.

The Lord liveth and blessed be the Rock and let the God of my salvation be exalted!

The Lord liveth and blessed be the Rock and let the God of my salvation be exalted!

The Lord liveth and blessed be the Rock and let the God of my salvation be exalted!

The Lord liveth and blessed be the Rock and let the God of my salvation be exalted!

Strategic Focus for Sunday

WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A CALL FOR A NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AND REPENTANCE BY THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Sunday, March 15, 2020

We will be praying throughout the day,

and this evening from 6-8 pm ET we will hold a special national conference call.

All intercessors are invited to join us!

Call in number:  1-712-770-4340   Code:  543555 #

*Read President’s Proclamation (on separate sheet)

“When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land,

or send pestilence among My people,

if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face,

and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.“

2 Chronicles 7:13-14

On  Friday, evening, at 7 PM ET, right after we had entered into the SHABBAT Call, President Trump tweeted:

“It is my great honor to declare Sunday, March 15th as a National Day of Prayer. We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these. No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!”

Many of us were praying through our tears. It was such a blessing to know that President Trump had taken this step! We were reminded that VP Pence has quoted 2 Chronicles 7:14 many times and that repentance is God’s pathway back to Him and for the restoration of our nation!

Sin has broken our national relationship with God and ruined our ability to have right relationships with others. Without being in the right relationship with God, we can’t LOVE others the way we should! Today, we are humbling ourselves, praying and seeking God’s face, and repenting for our wicked ways, so that our loving Father might hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land.

We pray:

  • As millions of Christians nationwide follow the admonition in 2 Chronicles 7 and enter into CORPORATE PRAYER and REPENTANCE for the sin of our land, we will be joined by many who have not yet received Christ as Savior and Lord…who will cry out to Him and hear Him answer! Pray.

God is calling the people of the United States, and us, the Body of Christ, to come together, fall on our knees and confess the sin of our nation, repenting corporately, with ONE VOICE before Him. We are being asked if we are willing to receive the burden of “conviction of the sin of this nation” in our hearts. If we agree, we will be empowered to pray effectively in repentance for our nation!   When that takes place, God will hear us, forgive us and heal our land!  The caveat, His stipulation, is that we must be deeply convicted of our sin in our hearts, and be willing to truly repent, not just give Him “lip service”.

“These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.”

Matthew 15:8

We pray:

  • We are reminded of the story of the Pharisee and the Publican…and ask that You allow us to join our lowly brother in truly humbling ourselves before You, and confessing the sins of this, our beloved nation! Pray.

We are engaged in a great spiritual battle…“a warfare of love”! Many in the Body of Christ are deeply concerned about the demonic forces operating continuously against our President, and coming against all believers in the United States at this very hour. This evil continually tries to undermine and destroy those virtuous pillars that support our very foundations.

Believers are distracted by the “tyranny of the urgent”…a never-ending stream that floods the airwaves with “fake news” in an attempt to manipulate and control our minds…and instill fear in our hearts!  The battle taking place is not just against our Administration, but against us… as individuals, families, churches and communities. It is an all-out war against the American way of life! We, The People” are under attack! Unless the people of this nation, led by those in the Body of Christ, repent and then rise up in the strength of God’s authority, the United States will have no future.

“Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart,  with fasting and weeping and mourning.”

Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate.

Joel 2:12-13

We pray:

  • Today, if we realize our intercession needs a “jump-start”, we will allow God to infuse us with His strength!  Pray

Nothing is so far out of reach that God cannot revive it.  Repentance does not happen spontaneously. It first takes place in individual hearts, is nurtured by prayer and fasting, and is then birthed into the larger arena. In Scripture, solemn assemblies were often called by priests, prophets or kings, for the entire nation. Prior to every national awakening in the United States, there was an emphasis on repentance, with fasting and prayer. Throughout our history, 788 solemn assemblies for national repentance took place!

We pray:

  • That the blessing of today’s repentance will not only be that God forgives and heals this nation, but that a passion for His Presence is stirred up in the Body of Christ…one that will keep continuously burning! Pray.

During the Civil War, as President Abraham Lincoln struggled to mend a divided and war-torn nation and recenter Americans around God and prayer, he issued a proclamation on March 30, 1863, calling for a  “Day of National Humiliation, Fasting, and Prayer.”  The text of Lincoln’s proclamation has pointed lessons for today, as our nation is once again deeply divided. It repeatedly references God, calls on Americans to turn back to prayer and acknowledges the importance that God plays in human affairs. It was indeed a “call to repent before God” which is appropriate for us today. Let us read, reflect, and pray into it on behalf of our nation!

“Whereas, the Senate of the United States, devoutly recognizing the Supreme Authority and just Government of Almighty God, in all the affairs of men and of nations, has, by a resolution, requested the President to designate and set apart a day for National prayer and humiliation. Pray.

And whereas it is the duty of nations as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord. Pray.

And, insomuch as we know that, by His divine law, nations like individuals are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world, may we not justly fear that the awful calamity of civil war, which now desolates the land, maybe but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of our national reformation as a whole People? Pray.

We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us! It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.  Pray.

Now, therefore, in compliance with the request, and fully concurring in the views of the Senate, I do, by this my proclamation, designate and set apart Thursday, the 30th day of April, 1863, as a day of national humiliation, fasting and prayer. And I do hereby request all the People to abstain, on that day, from their ordinary secular pursuits, and to unite, at their several places of public worship and their respective homes, in keeping the day holy to the Lord, and devoted to the humble discharge of the religious duties proper to that solemn occasion. Pray.

All this being done, in sincerity and truth, let us then rest humbly in the hope authorized by the Divine teachings, that the united cry of the Nation will be heard on high, and answered with blessings, no less than the pardon of our national sins, and the restoration of our now divided and suffering Country, to its former happy condition of unity and peace.  In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed.”   Pray.

Proclamation on the National Day of Prayer for all Americans Affected

by the Coronavirus Pandemic and for our National Response Efforts

In our times of greatest need, Americans have always turned to prayer to help guide us through trials and periods of uncertainty.  As we continue to face the unique challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, millions of Americans are unable to gather in their churches, temples, synagogues, mosques, and other houses of worship.  But in this time we must not cease asking God for added wisdom, comfort, and strength, and we must especially pray for those who have suffered harm or who have lost loved ones.  I ask you to join me in a day of prayer for all people who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and to pray for God’s healing hand to be placed on the people of our Nation.

As your President, I ask you to pray for the health and well-being of your fellow Americans and to remember that no problem is too big for God to handle.  We should all take to heart the holy words found in 1 Peter 5:7:  “Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you.”  Let us pray that all those affected by the virus will feel the presence of our Lord’s protection and love during this time.  With God’s help, we will overcome this threat.

On Friday, I declared a national emergency and took other bold actions to help deploy the full power of the Federal Government to assist with efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic.  I now encourage all Americans to pray for those on the front lines of the response, especially our Nation’s outstanding medical professionals and public health officials who are working tirelessly to protect all of us from the coronavirus and treat patients who are infected; all of our courageous first responders, National Guard, and dedicated individuals who are working to ensure the health and safety of our communities; and our Federal, State, and local leaders.  We are confident that He will provide them with the wisdom they need to make difficult decisions and take decisive actions to protect Americans all across the country.  As we come to our Father in prayer, we remember the words found in Psalm 91:  “He is my refuge and my fortress:  my God; in him will I trust.”

As we unite in prayer, we are reminded that there is no burden too heavy for God to lift or for this country to bear with His help.  Luke 1:37 promises that “For with God nothing shall be impossible,” and those words are just as true today as they have ever been.  As one Nation under God, we are greater than the hardships we face, and through prayer and acts of compassion and love, we will rise to this challenge and emerge stronger and more united than ever before.  May God bless each of you, and may God bless the United States of America.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim March 15, 2020, as a National Day of Prayer for All Americans Affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic and for our National Response Efforts.  I urge Americans of all faiths and religious traditions and backgrounds to offer prayers for all those affected, including people who have suffered harm or lost loved ones.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fourteenth day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-fourth.

DONALD J. TRUMP
