We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!

For us to receive and put on the Ephesians 6 “full armor of God” as we begin each hour,
that we might be protected as we continue to “stand in the gap” for our beloved country!
Pray.
The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly
for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump,
and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for his protection and ask that he be led by the Holy Spirit
so that he will discern truth and act for the good of the nation.
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage and family, and cover them all with the Blood of Jesus.
Pray.
For those whom God has called, anointed, and appointed to serve this nation in the future,
particularly as US President, to be protected and sustained during their “periods of incubation”,
before publicly declaring their intentions to run for office.
Pray.
Bring the SCOTUS Justices into alignment with God’s purposes in making their decisions!
Protect all the members of the Trump Administration,
especially the Cabinet, military, law enforcement agencies, such as ICE, FBI, and CBP.
Pray.
We will now spend the next 10 minutes praying for President Trump,
focusing our prayers against any assassination attempts, demonic attacks against him and
healing of those impacted by TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.
Let him remain in good health, so he can serve his entire 4-year term as our 47th US President!

On August 23rd, on Life, Liberty & Levin, Mark had Senator Ted Cruz as his guest. Let’s read and pray into Part 5 of what Ted Cruz shared!
SENATOR TED CRUZ: I’m gonna get a little geeky for a second, but I promise you this is not too geeky. The 14th Amendment of the Constitution provides that no state shall deprive a person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Now, what does that mean? That means they can’t execute you, they can’t take your property, they can’t lock you up without due process. That typically means notice and an opportunity to be heard, an opportunity to defend yourself, what we think of as a trial, and a chance to say, no, I didn’t do it. The courts, starting really in about the 1960s, invented this different concept that is not due process. It’s not about process, but they called it substantive due process, which is, there are some things government just can’t do because we judges don’t want them to do.
MARK LEVIN: Anything they want, pretty much.
SENATOR TED CRUZ: And Clarence Thomas has always said substantive due process is nonsense. What Clarence Thomas has argued for years is that if you’re going to incorporate a right against the state, you should use instead what’s called the Privileges or Immunities Clause of the 14th Amendment, which— what are the privileges and immunities that are attendant to being a citizen of the United States? And in McDonald, he goes through reams of historical evidence to say, look, the freedmen being able to protect their lives with a firearm to stop the Klan from murdering them and their children, that was a privilege and immunity of a citizen of the United States. It is scholarly, it is powerful, it is exactly right. Pray.
MARK LEVIN: What was the conclusion?
SENATOR TED CRUZ: The conclusion was yes, our Second Amendment right is protected. You have a right, I have a right, but one of the things about Clarence Thomas that is unique and distinctive of him among the justices more than any other is that he goes back to natural law.
MARK LEVIN: Natural law‘s in the Declaration. Natural law is something Clarence Thomas talks about all the time. Natural law in this case you just talked about, it’s at the forefront of his mind throughout, isn’t it?
SENATOR TED CRUZ: It is, and it’s very much how he approaches the Constitution and decision-making. And it is the basic notion that our rights come from God. Our rights preexist. They’re not given to us by government, but they’re there to begin with. And the most famous articulation of this is the Declaration, where Thomas Jefferson wrote, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator — not government — by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” That principle is a radical and revolutionary principle, which is that rights are not a gift from government. It is inherent in being a human being, being a creature created by God, that you have a right to life, you have a right to liberty, you have a right to the pursuit of happiness, and the entire purpose of government is to protect those rights that are antecedent. You know, you talked earlier about how the principles when our country was founded led inevitably to slavery being ended. I think the Declaration is a great example of that. All men are created equal. You cannot have a system of slavery if you understand that all men are created equal. Pray.
MARK LEVIN: Isn’t it also true that in the first draft, Jefferson had language basically abolishing slavery, but he couldn’t get it through?
SENATOR TED CRUZ: The votes were not there, and it was a journey, and it was a bloody journey. I mean, it took 600,000 dead to get there. But Clarence Thomas has laid out that arc in a beautiful way, and it’s why he’s willing to overturn precedents in a way very few justices are. He looks at decisions like Plessy v. Ferguson, which upheld separate but equal, and said it’s okay to discriminate based on race and force black kids to go to this school and white kids to go to this school. And Clarence Thomas says, “My Constitution says equal protection of the laws.” Why are judges making up rules to ignore the Constitution? And you know, there’s a great story that kind of sums up Clarence Thomas and how he approaches being a judge. So, a number of years into being a justice, he comes along Stephen Breyer, a liberal justice, a very charming man, a smart man, and they were at lunch, and he was relaying a story. He’d been down in Nevis, the Caribbean island. He has a home down there, and he had been on his front porch when a man came along with a machete and robbed him.
So he’s telling the other justices about this, and Clarence Thomas walks up, and Breyer says, “Clarence, Clarence, what would you do?” He said, “What would you do if you were on your porch with your wife playing bridge, and a man with a machete came up to rob you?” And Thomas said, “I don’t play bridge.” And Breyer kind of sighs frustratingly. He says, “Okay. Suppose you were on your porch with your wife playing poker and a man came along to rob you. What would you do?” And Thomas pauses for a second and says, “I don’t play poker.” Breyer sighs. He says, “Okay, Clarence, what would you be doing on your porch?” And he said, “I’d be cleaning my guns. And I’d ask him if he wants that machete with ketchup or without.” Pray.
MARK LEVIN: That’s funny.
SENATOR TED CRUZ: And that is Clarence Thomas. Look, he’s not going to go out and pick a fight. He’s not going to go seek trouble. But if you come for the Constitution, he will defend it more vigorously than any justice who’s ever served on the court. Pray.
MARK LEVIN: Fantastic. And Going Further is loaded with this cool stuff, this cool information and so forth. You’re gonna love this book. You’re gonna learn about Clarence Thomas, the courts, these decisions in a way you’ve never learned about them before, thanks to you. You know, I really hate that end of tonight’s program. Going Further is the great book.
SENATOR TED CRUZ: I think Justice Thomas is one of the great historical figures of our time, and an awful lot of people don’t know his story, don’t know that he came from nothing, don’t know that he didn’t speak English as his first language. He spoke a dialect called Geechee that you find on the coast of Georgia. They don’t know his journey from radical leftist to principled conservative. But, you know, I wrote this book because we need heroes. Young people need heroes to look up to and say, listen, I can live a life like that. I wrote this book because I hope we have thousands or even millions of young people who read this book and say, I can follow the steps of Clarence Thomas. I want to say to parents and grandparents, buy this book for your kids. Buy this book for your grandkids. If you want a model of how to live a life of consequence, making a difference, buy this book. I admire Clarence Thomas. I wrote this book because I think if you know who he is, you will admire Clarence Thomas too, and it is an example worth trying with all your might to live up to. Pray.

That Clarence Thomas will receive the honor and credit due him for the decisions that he has made, and the way he has carried out his oath of office in the United States Supreme Court. Pray.
That the people of our nation will stand alongside President Trump and remain engaged in this BATTLE TO SAVE AMERICA until VICTORY is won! Pray.
Protect, strengthen, and cover our 24/7 family in the Blood of Jesus. Bring in mature Christian men and women, and call the younger generation to this assignment with us, as we pray for our President and our beloved nation! Prepare us for our NEXT STEPS in this Battle to Save America! Pray.
