We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!
“I will extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever.

One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.
I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works.

For us to receive and put on the Ephesians 6 “full armor of God” as we begin each hour,
that we might be protected as we continue to “stand in the gap” for our beloved country!
Pray.
The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly
for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump,
and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for his protection and ask that he be led by the Holy Spirit
so that he will discern truth and act for the good of the nation.
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage and family, and cover them all with the Blood of Jesus.
Pray.
For those whom God has called, anointed, and appointed to serve this nation in the future,
particularly as US President, to be protected and sustained during their “periods of incubation”,
before publicly declaring their intentions to run for office.
Pray.
Bring the SCOTUS Justices into alignment with God’s purposes in making their decisions!
Protect all the members of the Trump Administration,
especially the Cabinet, military, law enforcement agencies, such as ICE, FBI, and CBP.
Pray.
We will now spend the next 10 minutes praying for President Trump,
focusing our prayers against any assassination attempts, demonic attacks against him and
healing of those impacted by TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.
Let him remain in good health, so he can serve his entire 4-year term as our 47th US President!

On August 23rd, on Life, Liberty & Levin, Mark had Senator Ted Cruz as his guest. Let’s read and pray into Part 4 of what Ted Cruz shared!
During Clarence Thomas’ time at Yale— he did not like Yale. Yale did not teach law. It taught deconstruction. It taught why you shouldn’t believe law; you shouldn’t believe the Constitution. He struggled with that. He did very well. But the leftists at Yale drove him away. When he graduated from Yale, he went to apply for a job, and no law firm would hire him. Now, this is a kid at the top of his class from Yale Law School, and yet all of these well-meaning liberals who all supported affirmative action looked at him and said, sorry, you’re black; we don’t believe you actually know anything; no job for you. It’s one of the first real illustrations he had of the downside of affirmative action: that if you cheapen it, people don’t believe your accomplishment matters. He actually famously took his Yale Law degree, and he pulled a sticker off a cigar box that says 15 cents, and he stuck it on there. It’s still there today. That’s what he thought the Yale Law degree was worth: 15 cents. The only place he could get a job was working for the Republican Attorney General in Missouri, Jack Danforth. Pray.
Now, Thomas was not yet a Republican. He was a liberal. He had voted for George McGovern. I mean, he considered himself a liberal. When he was in law school, someone handed him a book by Thomas Sowell, and he read it. He read like 3 pages, and he threw it in the trash, and he said, “No black man can dare think like this.” Fast forward a few years later, he’s working for Jack Danforth, the AG of Missouri, and a good friend of his, a friend who was another lawyer who was paralyzed, called him and told him, Clarence, there’s another one like you. He says, what do you mean? And there was a book review in the Wall Street Journal about Sowell’s new book. And at the time, a few years had passed since he threw it away. He got that new book, read it, consumed it, devoured it. And Justice Thomas and Thomas Sowell are good friends to this day. And Sowell and Walter Williams and some of the really pioneering African American scholars who took on the shibboleths, took on the lies, and advocated for principles of: if you want to do well in life, pull yourself up, be engaged in hard discipline, take responsibility. Pray.
All of that life journey is reflected in Justice Thomas’s opinions. And you look at his opinions, including now, finally, his early dissents have become majorities as the court has struck down racial discrimination in college admissions. Nobody played a bigger part in making that happen than Clarence Thomas, because he understands that when government discriminates based on race, it is always, always, always wrong. You like what you hear? Pray.
Look, an originalist is very straightforward. It’s someone who believes the words in the Constitution mean what they say. And they mean what they were understood to say in common parlance at the time. Clarence Thomas doesn’t view the role of a justice as a magician, as a creator, as a policymaker. He approaches his role as a justice like he’s building a house. He builds the foundation, he builds the walls, he makes sure they’re straight. He writes in simple, straightforward— he said, what does the language say? What does it mean? And, you know, if you look at one of his greatest opinions is McDonald v. City of Chicago, and that deals with the Second Amendment. And actually, a decade earlier, there was a case called Printz v. United States. I was a law clerk the year that was decided. That was one of the very first cases setting the stage for upholding the individual right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment. And Clarence Thomas wrote separately in Printz and said, “We need to squarely address: Does the Second Amendment protect an individual right to keep and bear arms?” (That set the stage for the Heller decision, where the Court said, yes, it protects an individual right). Pray.
I was part of litigating the Heller decision. I represented 31 states defending the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Heller applied just to D.C., and so McDonald was the next case in that line.
And the question was, does the Second Amendment apply to all 50 states? And that’s answered by determining what’s called incorporation… a fancy legal doctrine for just saying, do you take the Bill of Rights and apply it to the states as well, or is it just the federal government? And in McDonald, Justice Thomas writes this very detailed concurrence going back to the history, and he said, look, anyone who wants to understand the Constitution has to understand Reconstruction…the process after the Civil War of coming back together, because he thinks it’s integral to understanding the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments and what the Constitution does. And he goes through, in the wake of the Civil War, where you would have vigilantes; you would have the beginnings of the KKK who come and harass, attack, and murder freed black slaves, and they would be harassed. And in particular, what they would do is take their guns away because they didn’t want the freedmen to be able to defend their own lives. Pray.
We pray:
In thanksgiving for men like Thomas Sewell, who set an example for Clarence Thomas, providing a path on which he would walk into his destiny. Pray.
In gratitude to God for the clarity and distinct explanations that Clarence Thomases provided so that all could read and understand the truth of the Constitution and our Founding Fathers’ intentions. Pray.
That the people of our nation will stand alongside President Trump and remain engaged in this BATTLE TO SAVE AMERICA until VICTORY is won! Pray.
Protect, strengthen, and cover our 24/7 family in the Blood of Jesus. Bring in mature Christian men and women, and call the younger generation to this assignment with us, as we pray for our President and our beloved nation! Prepare us for our NEXT STEPS in this Battle to Save America! Pray.
