We begin our hour by praising and giving thanks to God!
“ When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing.

Bring back our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the South.

For us to receive and put on the Ephesians 6 “full armor of God” as we begin each hour,
that we might be protected as we continue to “stand in the gap” for our beloved country!
Pray.
The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly
for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump,
and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for his protection and ask that he be led by the Holy Spirit
so that he will discern truth and act for the good of the nation.
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage and family, and cover them all with the Blood of Jesus.
Pray.
For those whom God has called, anointed, and appointed to serve this nation in the future,
particularly as US President, to be protected and sustained during their “periods of incubation”,
before publicly declaring their intentions to run for office.
Pray.
Bring the SCOTUS Justices into alignment with God’s purposes in making their decisions!
Protect all the members of the Trump Administration,
especially the Cabinet, military, law enforcement agencies, such as ICE, FBI, and CBP.
Pray.
We will now spend the next 10 minutes praying for President Trump,
focusing our prayers against any assassination attempts, demonic attacks against him and
healing of those impacted by TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.
Let him remain in good health, so he can serve his entire 4-year term as our 47th US President!

Last Sunday on Life, Liberty & Levin, Mark had Senator Ted Cruz as his guest. Let’s read and pray into Part 2 of what Ted Cruz shared!
MARK LEVIN: Let me ask you this, Senator, who are the great influences that had an impact on his thinking, moving him from really sort of a Marxist into originalism? Who are the writers, the thinkers, and what does he mean by originalism?
SENATOR TED CRUZ: Two years ago, I went and sat down with Justice Thomas, and I said, I’m thinking of writing this book. And I asked, would you sit down and be interviewed? And he kind of laughed, and he said, “Ted, if it was anyone else,” he said, “if you were a law professor, my answer would be no.” But my background: I was a clerk at the court. I clerked for Chief Justice Rehnquist before I was in the Senate. In my career, I was a Supreme Court litigator. I argued in front of the court. And then, obviously, for 14 years I’ve been in the Senate and been on the Senate Judiciary Committee and part of confirming a great number of justices now. I do think that that combination of backgrounds lets me tell his story in a way that many others could not…and the Justice was incredibly kind. We sat for 9.5 hours of just one-on-one interviews. And I’d come meet him at 8 AM, sit down, put down a tape recorder, and 2, 3 hours he’d be like, “Ask whatever you want.” And we’d kind of be far-ranging and just ask, trying to probe what makes Clarence Thomas Justice Clarence Thomas. Pray.
And that was— and then actually, he also sat for his very first podcast. So starting, as you know, I do a podcast, Verdict with Ted Cruz. Tomorrow and Wednesday, we have an hour-long podcast where he sat, and he and I talked one-on-one, just like you and I are, for which I was very grateful he took the time to do. Look, I wrote this book because I think this story needs to be told. I look at, you know, if Clarence Thomas were liberal, he would be venerated. You would have schools named after him. You’d have honorary degrees from every law school in America. You would have kids wearing chic shirts, like C.T. would be a brand and an emblem. Instead, the left despises him, and they have a particular level of vitriol. Look, Antonin Scalia was brilliant. You and I both knew Justice Scalia well. He had an incandescent mind. He was very conservative, and yet the left didn’t despise him the way they hate Clarence Thomas, and their view is that he is a traitor to his race, that no black man is allowed to think the way he does. Pray.
And so, he has been subject to absolute hate. And look, in the book, tracing his upbringing, how did he become a conservative? How did he become Clarence Thomas? He’s raised by his grandfather. He would deliver fuel with him in the winter and the cold. His grandfather would not let the boys wear gloves. He thought gloves made you weak. Your fingers just had to be cold. He would stuff newspaper into his clothes to warm up because they were delivering oil in the early hours of the morning. In the summer, they went to a farm and built a farm, and Justice Thomas talked to me about learning how to plow a farm. And he said, the first line you plow, it’s got to be straight, because if it’s not straight, every row afterwards will be crooked. That’s very much the approach. He drew that analogy which kind of leapt off the page, but he went ahead and drew it and said, look, that’s exactly how I write an opinion, which is you’ve got to make sure your foundation is right. He approaches opinion writing — one of the things that I really admire about him – his opinions are not highfalutin pieces of writing that are designed for scholars and law professors buried in some library. They’re designed so you can pick them up and read them and understand them. Pray.
Look at, for example, Justice Thomas’s opinions on race; there has been no more important thinker on race on the Supreme Court in the history of America. And he understands that racial discrimination is nasty. It is evil. It is, as he put it. When he was at Yale Law School, he learned the great god of theory of rich white liberals who had theories for these black kids. They said that they were helping, and yet somehow the theory always made them worse and worse and worse. And you look at it, it’s interesting: Justice Thomas almost didn’t become Justice Thomas. He almost became Father Thomas. As a boy, he wanted to be a priest, and he went to seminary. The traditions, everything about the Catholic Church attracted him. He was in seminary, although he started to get disillusioned. He describes a story where he’s in high school seminary, and he was one of only two black kids in the seminary. And one of the white kids passes a note to him that says, “I like Martin Luther King,” and he describes being kind of surprised at that sentiment. And then he turns the paper over, and it says, “Dead,” and all the other boys are laughing. Pray.
He tells another story where he poured himself into his studies. He said, “All right, I’ll show them. If they think my being black means I’m not as good as them, I’ll show them...” and he’s a very, very good student. And he liked Latin. He likes the rules and the sort of rigid structure. And they had a thing at the seminary called the Latin Bee where you would compete in Latin and do translations, and he won the thing. For winning, they gave him a statue of St. Jude. And he’s really proud of that, and he put it in his room. And the next day he came back and the head had been broken off. So he went and got some glue, and he glued it back on and put it back up there. The next day the head was broken off again. A second time, he glued it and put it up there. They didn’t break it a third time. He kept that statue with him his whole life. It was in his chambers. And so when I went to interview him, I knew about the statue, and I asked him, I said, where’s the statue of Saint Jude? Do you know what happened to it? He sent it to your friend and my friend Rush Limbaugh. When Rush was sick, when Rush was dying, Justice Thomas sent him the statue of Saint Jude to comfort him. That also shows one of the things I talk about in the book is this man’s heart. He has a heart for kindness. Pray.
We pray:
Father, we thank You for the tender heart of Justice Thomas and for the retelling of his story by Senator Cruz in such a way that we see the real person behind the robe. Pray.
In thanksgiving that all that Clarence Thomas was subjected to did not destroy him, but rather helped to shape his character in such a way that he will go down in history as one of America’s greatest jurists. Pray.
That the people of our nation will stand alongside President Trump and remain engaged in this BATTLE TO SAVE AMERICA until VICTORY is won! Pray.
Protect, strengthen, and cover our 24/7 family in the Blood of Jesus. Bring in mature Christian men and women, and call the younger generation to this assignment with us, as we pray for our President and our beloved nation! Prepare us for our NEXT STEPS in this Battle to Save America! Pray.
