Pray for the people of Iran / Persia
As we begin tonight’s call, we are painfully aware that many parts of our world have literally been set on fire! We will be praying into several grave matters impacting our nation\, but now, let’s begin our time together by lifting President Trump to the Lord, praying that he might have wisdom and strength to deal with these critical matters. Let us receive the full armor of God, on his behalf and our own, so we are fully equipped to enter into tonight’s intercession. Janis (MA) volunteered to lead us!
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Juanele (NC) My brother Chris will be having surgery, and I need to be there.
Barbara (WI), her husband is having bypass surgery on January 14th.
Ps Samuel Kalloo: Please pray for my daughter, who is having breast cancer surgery this Friday.
Randie (OR) I facilitate Wednesday 3 am EST…and I need to trade time slots with someone so I can go to my Wednesday morning church prayer meetings. Is there someone who will trade with me?
Fran (NY), her sister Elizabeth need to have a mastectomy this week.
Anita (NJ) prayed for several of these, then asked for prayer for her own lungs.

TROUBLE ABROAD: MASSIVE PROTESTS IN IRAN. Videos from Iran have been showing government buildings on fire and protesters being fired on! (Yet none of the Major outlets seem to be covering the uprising in real time.) President Trump told Sean Hannity that if the regime keeps killing protesters, the US will hit Iran hard. Many Iranians are calling for the exiled Crown Prince Pahlavi Reza, son of the former Shah, to take over the leadership of the country.

We will pray for the people of Iran / Persia, especially Iranian Christians, courageous believers standing at great personal cost. Iran is not just a headline or a political talking point; it is an ancient civilization, (Persia), a biblically significant land, tragically hijacked by terrorists in 1979. “But God…” is not finished with the people of Iran, and the evil controlling regime fears its own people more than any foreign power. Give them freedom, protection, and cause the Gospel to continue spreading, bringing many to Christ! God does great work when oppression thinks it has the final word!

Ps Ioan said that the Iranian protesters are being described as “enemies of Allah.” Jihadist Muslim officials of the Islamic Republic have described protesters as “mohareb” (a “legal” term in Persian, meaning “war against (god) ‘Allah’”), terrorists and agitators…and linking them to Israel and the United States. These are offenses punishable by death.
We prayed corporately into this matter, asking the Lord to fight for the people of Persian, free them and return a legitimate government to them, whereby they can thrive and recapture the former “graces” that were upon their nation! We then offered individual prayers.
Mary Ellen (IL) Thinking of President Trump and shared Esther 4:13-14 And Mordecai told them to answer
Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as This?” She declared LET THEM GO FREE!
Joann (MO) Thinking: Are there Jews in Iran who have no voice?
Ps Ioan said it’s estimated that there are 15 K Jews left in Iran; (previously there were 300 K…but most were driven out or killed). He shared a similar situation that took place in Romania. When the people protested, thousands in Bucharest were killed. The people rose up, overwhelmed the Communists, executed the former dictator and took their country back! It is time for ISLAM to go!
Dorothy (OR) prayed and pled the Blood of Jesus over those Iranians who are in mortal danger right now. She declared that the Lord has heard the cry of the Persians and will move on their behalf.

Just before 9 PM, we paused to pray for Tina Peters.
Oral arguments in Tina’s appeal are scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2:30 PM MT in Denver, at the Colorado Court of Appeals before a panel of three judges. Livestream access will be available via the CO Judicial Branch website: live.coloradojudicial.gov.
The appeal addresses the merits of Tina Peters’ 2024 “conviction” and 9 -year sentence for unauthorized access to voting equipment. Peters’ team argues for the reversal of convictions on several grounds, including
Federal immunity under the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution (Article VI, Clause 2) establishes that federal law is the “supreme Law of the Land” and preempts conflicting state law. Peters, as Mesa County Clerk, was acting as an “officer of election” in a federal capacity when she authorised and oversaw the copying of election data and images from Dominion voting equipment in May 2021. This was done to preserve federal election records as required by federal statutes and duties related to the 2020 presidential election, thereby placing her actions under federal authority and immunizing them from state prosecution.
Insufficient evidence to support the convictions, due process violations (such as exclusion of intent evidence and failure to investigate alleged juror bias), and unconstitutional sentencing (calling the nine-year term grossly disproportionate for nonviolent conduct and punishing protected speech.)
President Trump’s December 5, 2025, signed pardon for “those offenses she has or may have committed or taken part in related to election integrity and security” nullifies her state convictions, deprives the Colorado Court of Appeals of jurisdiction to hear the appeal on the merits, and requires her immediate release. The state of Colorado maintains that the pardon is invalid under principles of state sovereignty.
As of January 11, 2026, Peters remained incarcerated at La Vista Correctional Facility in Pueblo. The hearing tomorrow is the next key step. Pressure remains on Governor Polis, who, on January 9, commented on Tina Peters’ situation re: consideration for clemency or commutation: “She got a sentence that was harsh. It was a nine-year sentence…We always look at people’s sentences, and when you have people that are elderly, and we’re looking at this across a number of people — people that are in their 70s and 80s in our system — how much of a threat to society are they? And we balance that in a way that makes sure that they can spend their last few years at home.”
We prayed corporately for Tina to have Divine favor and that the three judges would clearly see and uphold federal immunity under the Supremacy Clause, recognize the validity of President Trump’s pardon, and rule swiftly for reversal or dismissal of Tina Peters’ conviction. We also prayed for God’s protection, strength and healing, for Polis and other authorities to opt for clemency or commutation, and for all threats of violence to cease completely.
We continue to stand with Tina…and all of our J6 prisoners and their families until they are all returned to their lives and loved ones, and compensated for the injustices they suffered! Ann (MN) led in our National Anthem.
