Restoration
Our Passover Crossing
“Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away,
in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the LORD;
and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you, whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke
by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.”
Acts 3:19-21
Strategic Targets for today:
Today as we consider Restoration let us use the state of New Mexico as a perfect example of restoration for our nation. Many may not know that NM is home to the oldest House, the oldest Capitol and the oldest Church, and many other unique and special things. Below you will find some interesting facts about NM, but one that is especially dear to me is that many of the Spanish Jews who parents and grandparents had been expelled from Spain in 1492 made the journey to NM. My ancestors were part of this brave expedition that came with Don Juan de Onate in 1598, they settled in what became known as Santa Fe, were I was born. Many of the founding New Mexican names such as Baca, Carvajal, Chavez, Martin Serrano, Lopez, Zamora, Romero, and Leyva are my ancestors. Understanding that what is now known as NM was once the “KINGDOM of New Spain”, I realize that there are deep spiritual roots here in NM, one that connects the old with the new. It is from here that restoration can be birthed, that which was of old, can now become new.
May New Mexico become the place were Kingdom mindsets rule again, were both the Native and the Jew are honored. A place were your Glorious Church is restored, Oh LORD, and the reverence for pure worship is established. Just as New Spain was dedicated to the Kingdom of God, we now dedicate New Mexico to the Supreme Ruler, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Let you GLORY COME DOWN!
Facts about New Mexico:
The oldest House
La Casa Vieja de Analco, located at 215 East de Vargas Street in Old Santa Fe is a perfect example of this mingling of native and European cultures in the New World.
The house was originally constructed as a part of the Pueblo de Analco, a Pueblo Indian community that existed in what is now Santa Fe, New Mexico.
While the exact date of the construction of the house itself is not known, it was probably constructed some time in the thirteenth or fourteenth century as the community itself existed from about 1200 AD to about 1435 AD.
The Pueblo was abandoned sometime around the year 1435 when the entire community left and moved further south.
It is not known why they left, but the exodus was probably in response to natural forces such as a decline in water supplies, agricultural productivity and/or game for hunting.
Whatever the reason, the Pueblo sat empty for over 160 years until the arrival in the area of a group, led by Don Juan de Oňate, of 950 newcomers from Mexico on July 11, 1598.
Oňate Names His New City “La Villa Real de Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asis”
Like their later English counterparts in the eastern part of what is now the United States, many of the residents of the Spanish colony of New Spain were lured to the frontier in search of a better life or fleeing persecution of some sort.
While little is known about the group following Oňate, we do know that 250 of them were Europeans from Mexico some of whom were soldiers who were accompanied by their wives and children, one or more Franciscan friars and settlers seeking a new home.
Some of the settlers may have been Conversos who were Spanish Jews who had been forcefully converted to Catholicism a generation or more earlier but who had secretly remained Jewish. Many of these migrated to Mexico to avoid the Inquisition and, as the grip of the Church and Spanish government tightened there, many of these people moved north to the frontier regions of New Spain. A number of them ended up in what is now New Mexico and, to this day, there are still a number of so called hidden Jews of New Mexico who are outwardly Catholic but secretly remain Jewish and, just as secretly, pass on their Jewish heritage to their children.
However, the largest group in the contingent were Tlaxcalan Indians from Mexico. Some were warriors assisting the Spanish soldiers with defense, but they also included many who were skilled craftsmen, laborers and servants. Like the Spanish, the Tlaxcalan were accompanied by their wives and children.
Onate’s party chose to settle in what is now the City of Santa Fe, and named their settlement La Villa Real de Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asis (which I believe translates to The Royal City of the Holy Faith of St. Francis of Assisi). The two groups, European and Tlaxcalan Indians each settled in their own section of the city with the Tlaxcalans choosing to reside in the remains of the Pueblo de Analco. This was actually a good choice as this site not only contained some empty existing structures but was also located adjacent to the Santa Fe River which provided a good water supply.
The oldest continuously occupied cities in the United States:
Acoma, New Mexico: Forty minutes drive east of Grants, New Mexico, lies the Pueblo (village) of Acoma, built on a sandstone mesa 367-feet above a valley and approximately 7,000 feet above sea level. The pueblo was built on a mesa for defensive purposes, keeping rival raiding tribes at bay. Native verbal history says Acoma was first inhabited about 700 AD although modern archeological evidence suggests it has been continuously occupied from 1150, making it America’s oldest continually inhabited city. It is presently inhabited by a small population of Keresan-speaking Native Americans.
Santa Fe, New Mexico: Santa Fe is the oldest capital city in the U.S. and also the oldest European city west of the Mississippi. Santa Fe also features the oldest public building in America, the Palace of the Governors. The first Spanish Governor-General of New Mexico established his capital in 1598 at San Juan Pueblo, 25 miles north of modern day Santa Fe. The second Governor-General moved his capital south to Santa Fe in 1607 and the city has remained a capital ever since. The city was the capital for the Spanish “Kingdom of New Mexico,” and then the Mexican province of Nuevo Mexico, the American territory of New Mexico (which contained modern Arizona and New Mexico) and since 1912 the US state of New Mexico. Santa Fe was originally occupied by Pueblo Indians from 1050 to 1607. The conquistador Don Francisco Vasques de Coronado described the Indian settlement in 1540, 67 years before the founding of the city of Santa Fe.
San Miguel Chapel in Santa Fe is the oldest church in the United States, constructed around 1610. The Palace of the Governors was built between 1610 and 1612 and is the oldest government building in the country.
Walking in the Reflection of His Light
We have been offering ourselves willing to Father God in Hineni.
NOW HE IS, as our “Covenant GOD”, answering us back in this stronger form of Hineni…”Behold! Here I AM, doing this thing!
Watch for the covenant moments with God the remainder of this month,
as HE IS DOING A NEW THING!

~~~Calling the State of New Mexico into Order and Alignment
Pray that the Spell of Deceptive spirits will be broken of the Land of Enchantment
This Information was shared and submitted by John Robb a NM Leader
Here is the information about the new movement that we began in January. Now there are 72 churches in 22 cities taking part and the Catholic Archbishop (his name is also John) told me he wants to get the parishes praying along with us. Please do pray for that to happen and that hundreds of churches across the state will enter into this “One Church, One Day” 24/7 effort. Five other states have told our chairperson that they want to follow NM’s example and do the same! May it become “America Prays” as the Lord shared with this chairperson, Brian Alarid. Please keep him in prayers as well and his family. He is under enormous pressure.
The eight main issues we are praying about are attached below that you can use in your April 18th call.
Dear Ministry Leader,
I am writing to invite you and and your church to join New Mexico Prays, a movement of churches covering New Mexico in 24/7 prayer. New Mexico is in desperate need of revival and transformation.
Our vision is to mobilize churches all over New Mexico to unite in 24/7 prayer to see God revive the Church and transform our state. We are starting January 1, 2017.
HALF DAY OR FULL DAY:
Choose a day of the month on which your church can pray for 1 full day (24 hours) or a half day (12 hours). If you are going to pray a half day, decide if you are going to pray from Midnight to Noon or Noon to Midnight.
For example, you pray the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. of every month for 2017. We would like to cover every day of the month in prayer. Please check our Calendar for available days.
RECRUIT INTERCESSORS:
The goal is to cover every hour of the day in prayer with at least 1 intercessor. Recruit at least 12-24 people from your church to cover New Mexico in prayer. People can pray from home, at work, or you can also schedule a special prayer time at your church to gather people in corporate prayer.
AGREE IN PRAYER:
You can include additional prayer requests, but these are the 8 main areas of need in New Mexico that we are praying for:
1. PRAY FOR THE LOST TO BE SAVED.
2. PRAY FOR UNITY AMONG PASTORS AND CHURCHES.
3. PRAY FOR GOD TO HEAL OUR LAND OF ABORTION.
4. PRAY FOR DELIVERANCE FROM A SPIRIT OF VIOLENCE.
Prayer points for the April 18th focus on the State of New Mexico
Together, we come before You on behalf of the State of New Mexico, to speak grace and blessings to her, in the Name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer.
We cancel the assessment of NM as being “backward and needy” and declare that from this day forward, NM will begin to move forward steadily, under the power of the Holy Spirit, radiant as a Bride moving toward her Beloved waiting for her at the altar. We declare that she will joyfully share from her abundance with her neighbors, no longer borrowing, but giving out of the ample provision received from her Bridegroom-Kinsman-Redeemer.
We cancel NM’s label of being “the second most violent State” and declare a new season of SHALOM over the State. Let the atmosphere of PEACE rain on the land, and create an environment in which tempers will be cool, responses will be measured and issues will be resolved amicably.
We cancel NM’s reputation for being “the late-term abortion capitol of the nation” and declare that azeal for LIFE will rise up in the hearts of her people, that will cause them to repeal the “least restrictive abortion laws of any State” and secure the lives of infants in the womb, from conception through birth!
We bless the 22 Native American tribes that dwell on the land of NM as a first fruit offering and a tithe of the First Peoples…(as 10% of the country’s Native American population lives within NM.) We ask that as You bless them, Lord, and through them, may all the tribes of the United States be blessed. Let that blessing overflow like a SHABBAT cup past our nation’s boundaries and into the tribes that dwell in Canada and Mexico.
We cancel and reverse the decision by the NM Supreme Court that ruled against Huguenin’s and others that stand up for religious freedom, refusing to compromise their moral values to appease those who support same sex marriage or other forms of perversion disguised as “rights”. Bless those who were persecuted and lost much in the cause of freedom and justice, and restore to them what was lost many times over.
