24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call Tuesday, January 29, 2019

“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”

1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #

We will not tolerate any demonic interference on this 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call.

In taking measures to protect and defend our 24/7 family and this call, at the top of every hour,

the facilitator will take the first 3 minutes to bind all forces of evil and cast them down into the abyss.

They will then pray a shield of protection over the call and our 24/7 family!

*The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly

for the safety and security of our President and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!

We pray for the protection of our President, Donald Trump and cover him with the Blood of Jesus.

Thank You for instructing and guiding him, giving him wisdom through Your Holy Spirit.

We bless his wife, our First Lady, Melania, their young son Barron and each of their family members.

We also cover our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family with that Precious Blood,

and include all those in the Trump Administration who are serving You and our nation! Thank You, Father!

Strategic Focus for Tuesday

WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES

The WARFARE OF LOVE – Part 2

Draining the “Swamp” – “Pay-to-Play” Funds

“…those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

1 Timothy 6:9-10

“Drain the Swamp!” “Drain the Swamp!”…easy to chant, not quite so easy to do! The more we research the DC “muck and mire” (muck is slimy mud while mire is deep mud), the more we see why it’s so difficult! Our President needs “waders” (high waterproof boots and garments for the legs and body) to navigate his way through it all, while inches away, below the murky surface, the Deep State forces are preparing the next attack!

How did we get to this place? Our Founding Fathers would “roll over in their graves” if they could see what a mess we’ve made of their GREAT EXPERIMENT! 229 years ago, on January 9, 1790, our 1st US President and hero of the American Revolution, George Washington, said: “The establishment of our new Government seemed to be the last great experiment for promoting human happiness.” Now, it’s about self promotion!

We pray:

  • Father, cause the leaders of this nation to honor righteousness by following John the Baptist’s advice:

“He must increase, but I must decrease. He Who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He Who comes from heaven is above all.John 3:30-31

Senators and Representatives want to hold Senate and House Committee seats for a variety of reasons, some of them honorable…some of them not. For some, Committee assignments aren’t so much about public service as they are about raising one’s public profile and attracting special interest donations to their campaign funds. Congressional leadership understands that self-interest motivates many members to serve on Committees and the leadership leverages that desire by unofficially ranking the Committees. This “ranking system” is understood by members, though seldom spoken of.

  • Committees are assigned letters A, B, or C based on how important they are deemed to be by leadership.
  • There are five “A” Committees in the House: Appropriations, Ways and Means, Energy and Commerce, Rules, and Financial Services.
  • Both parties use Committee appointments to raise money. To serve on a Committee in Congress, you have to “pay” for the privilege.

Attempts to seduce and suck people in to this “swamp system” hit Democrats and Republicans alike! Here’s how the “pay-to-play” game works for Republicans.

  • If you want to serve on a specific Committee, you have to raise money for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). The amount varies, depending on the Committee and the role.
    • To serve on a B or C level committee, a GOP House freshman member must raise $220,000 every two years.
    • Veteran members on A committees must raise more than twice that amount—$450,000. (almost half a million dollars to do what the people elected them to do).

We pray:

  • Lord, when we hear these things, our stomachs turn! How could we not have known these things and allowed the inner workings of our Congress to become so corrupted? Forgive us and show us how to remove corrupt and unproductive “branches” and restore integrity to our government!

“…you, man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.”

1 Timothy 6:11

Some members of Congress spend at least half their time fundraising to keep their dues paid and campaign coffers full

  • If you become the chair of a B committee—congratulations—you’re now expected to raise $875,000 a year for the NRCC.
  • Chairing an A committee means you must raise $1.2 million.
  • The higher your role in the House leadership, the higher the price tag:
  • Deputy Whip $ 2.5 million
  • Conference Chair $ 5 million
  • Whip $ 5 million
  • Majority Leader $10 million
  • Speaker $ 20 million

When Representatives don’t pay their “dues” or fall behind, they are pressured to pay up—or else.

  • Candidates’ ability to raise cash is largely influenced by how well they play the game with leadership.
  • If you don’t pay your dues, you can’t use the NRCC call suites (or other benefits like the NRCC recording studios) to raise money.

To make matters worse, the NRCC (National Republican Congressional Committee) has used the pay-to-play funds to come against conservative candidates who won’t “play ball” with them. In 2016, Andy Biggs ran in the Republican primary in Arizona’s Fifth District. Although the NRCC has a longstanding policy to not meddle in primary elections, they paid more than $300,000 in legal fees to fund his opponent’s recount effort. Many who won’t “play ball” have felt that same “sting” as the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) funds their Republican opponents in primary races, and, with them smeared by “one of their own” party, in the general election, Democratic opponents are only too happy to capitalize on that!!

Committee assignments are less about qualifications than they are about cash (mammon)the chief qualification you need to be appointed! Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan was well qualified for his position…raising more than $50 M for the NRCC in 2016.

Serving on certain committees can also mean a lot of donations for representatives. It’s easy to see why the three committees mentioned above are all considered to be A committees

  • Getting on Ways and Means boosts your PAC (Political Action Committee) fundraising levels by $208,315 and your out-of-state itemized fundraising totals by $233,742.
  • Being on Financial Services produces a boost of $101,695 to PAC contributions and a boost of $140,334 to your out of-state contributions
  • Joining Energy and Commerce boosts your PAC contributions to $72,933.

House leadership doles out these influential Committee assignments to those who play the game. The real partisanship in Washington isn’t between political parties or about political principle; it is within parties, where leaders punish members who don’t play the game

We pray:

  • Lord, we are seeing how enmeshed the members of our government are with the spirit of mammon! Give us a chance to set things straight, and operate in the justice and righteousness we started with!

“For the Lord loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell in it forever.” Psalm 37:28

Additional “arms” to this hydra!

In America today, federal government employees outnumber those in manufacturing nearly 2:1 and government work pays with higher salaries and much better benefits than comparable private sector jobs.

  • When President Lincoln founded the Department of Agriculture, it had 1 employee for every 227,000 farms. Today the ratio is 1 bureaucrat for every 16 farms.
  • The Washington, DC area is now home to seven of the nation’s most affluent counties.

Lobbyists are also doing well in DC.

  • Between 2007 and 2012, the most politically active corporations in the nation spent a combined $5.8 billion on federal lobbying and campaign contributions.
  • An analysis by the Sunlight Foundation revealed that those corporations received more than $4.4 trillion in government contracts and financial support from the federal government.
  • Those 200 companies accounted for 26 percent of the total money spent on lobbying.
    • Today, for every dollar spent on influencing politics, the nation’s most politically active corporations received $760 from the government
    • That $4.4 trillion total represents two-thirds of the $6.5 trillion that individual taxpayers paid into the federal Treasury.

Corporations are right in there “getting theirs”. Corporate fortunes can be made or lost by legislation that affects their industries. Generous campaign donations often flow to members of these committees.

  • The financial, real estate, and insurance industries contributed more than:
    • $29 million to members of the Financial Services Committee
    • $16 million to members of the Ways and Means
    • $8 million to members of Energy and Commerce

(…either through Political Action Committees (PACs) or to individuals, one reason why

these congressional committee assignments are so valuable to so many in the House.)

Both individuals and groups have a right to lobby or petition Congress, but when the request is tied to donations and results in last-minute legislative perks, the people’s trust in government deteriorates. Corporations use this leverage to get what they want included in legislation.

  • Despite pleading guilty in a major federal fraud case, Amgen, a biotechnical firm with a small army of 74 lobbyists in the capital, got lawmakers to insert a paragraph into a bill (written in secret behind closed doors) that gave the company two years to sell Sensipar, a drug they produced, without government controls. The bill was voted on in Congress at the final hour, and most members didn’t know about the “provision” slipped in until it was too late. It cost Medicare $500 M during that period.

It seems that Congress feels it’s better to sink the nation with debt than rock the boat with reform. If we’re going to drain the swamp, we need to change that. The old saying: “Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely!” has never been more true! As a person’s power increases, their moral sense diminishes…and if Washington didn’t have all this power, we wouldn’t have these problems. Drain the swamp!

We pray for the members of our US Congress, in both the Senate and in the House of Representatives.

  • Pray into the portions of this focus that have informed or impacted you, asking God to DRAIN THE SWAMP and redeem and restore the Congress of the United States to function according to His plans and purposes, for the good of this nation!
  • We pray for President Trump, who has to deal with all of them. Give him Godly allies in Congress and remove those who are not!
