Tuesday, April 16, 2019 – 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call
“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”
1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #
We will not tolerate any demonic interference on the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call.
We are taking measures to protect and defend our 24/7 family and this call. At the top of every hour,
the facilitator, in agreement with those on the line, will bind all forces of evil and cast them down into the abyss, then pray a shield of protection over the call and our 24/7 family!
*The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly
for the safety and security of our President Donald John Trump
and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for our President’s protection and we cover him with the Blood of Jesus.
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their son Barron and each of their family members.
We cover our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family
and all those serving in this Administration.
We also bless the members of the Federal Reserve Board along with those who are part of our nation’s banking system which impacts our economy! May Jerome H. Powell, Richard H. Clarida,
Randal K. Quarles, Michelle W. Bowman, and Lael Brainard serve with integrity and honor!
The 24/7 NSPC is calling the Body of Christ nationwide to pray for the 2020 National Elections,
mobilizing intercessors and positioning ourselves in prayer before the Lord
on behalf of our President and nation!
COUNTDOWN: 568 days until the election!
Let us pray into this verse:
“…the world has hated them because they are not of the world…”
John 17:14
Strategic Focus for Tuesday
WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES
THAT ALL MAY BE ONE!
“…And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
I in them, and You in Me…”
John 17:22-23
During what is often called Holy Week or Passion Week, we remember how Jesus spoke intimately with His disciples as He shared the Passover, their “Last Supper” with them. Over the next few days, we will “journey” with Him through His passion…seeing Him suffer rejection by those who were His own and scourging at the hands of the pagan Romans. We will envision ourselves standing at the foot of the Cross until He releases His last breath…giving His sinless life freely for us, so that we might be freed from the bondage of sin… and live for Him! Then we will wait together, through the “tomb time”, and rejoice as one as He emerges VICTORIOUSLY on Resurrection morning, having won our salvation and defeated death! HALLELUYAH!
Jesus assured and comforted those who were His own, praying for them…and for us who would come after them! Today, as part of our “heart preparation” for WELCOMING THE KING OF GLORY INTO HOUSTON TEXAS this weekend, we will read through John 17:1-26 together, praying into what it is speaking to us!
~~~~~
Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.
- Jesus lifted up His eyes when He prayed…a posture that we don’t usually associate with deep prayer, since we tend to bow our head and close our eyes. We should never confuse the non-essential customs of prayer with the essential aspects. A person’s innermost being is revealed by genuine prayer, and we see that in the nature and heart of Jesus.
- Jesus prays first for Himself, but His concern is actually for the glory of the Father. The Son glorified the Father by revealing in the act the sovereignty of God over evil, the compassion of God for men, and the finality of redemption for believers.
- Jesus asserts His awesome authority…the authority to determine the ultimate destiny of men.
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.
- Jesus, with divine confidence and assurance, sees the work on the cross as already finished.
- This prayer could not come from Jesus if He were not Yahweh Himself, equal with the Father. God has proclaimed that He shares His glory with no one. If the Father and Son share their glory, they must be ONE!
I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.
- Having taught and encouraged the disciples as much as He could, Jesus now commits them to the Father in prayer. Jesus did not simply teach about the name (character) of God, He manifested (displayed) that character. “God is love” or “God is holy” must be lived as well as believed. Jesus did both for His disciples and led them into both believing and living what was right before God.
I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You.
- Jesus’ focus was on His disciples. He was praying for the “instrument” He was creating, through which He would reach the world.
- Many leaders have a tendency to glorify themselves in their followers. No one should be glorified in a believer other than Jesus Christ.
Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
- Our continuing on in Jesus is not left to our own efforts alone. The world, the flesh, and the devil are so mighty, so pervasive, and so seductive, that we could never keep ourselves in our own efforts. We are “kept” because Jesus has prayed for us “Father, keep them.”
- Jesus kept His little apostolic band together and safe during His earthly ministry. His prayer is that this “keeping” would continue.
But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
- God’s purpose is to multiply joy in our lives, not subtract it. The world, the flesh, and the devil would tell us something different, but God wants joy fulfilled in our lives. Receive it anew!
- Our goal is to be in the world, but not of it…the same way a ship is in the ocean, but the ocean is not welcome to be in the ship.
I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
- Jesus prayed for His eleven disciples, but He also had the heart and the vision to pray beyond them. He prayed for those of us who would come to faith by their testimony through the ages!
Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O, righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
As we finish sharing our thoughts and reflections on the above chapter of John, we bring this part of the focus to a close by praying together.
- Father, thank You for Your Word! We receive Your Word…in both written form and as the “WORD MADE FLESH”, YOUR SON, our SAVIOR, Jesus Christ! We welcome the opportunity to journey with Jesus through His passion, death and resurrection this week…and ask that we renew our covenant relationship with You, our God…Father, Son and Holy Spirit…so that our lives, our families and our nation will be useful to You and the Kingdom, and we will all be blessed!
- That You will sanctify us, setting us apart for Your pleasure and use, making us holy, and keeping us from the corruption of the world. Thank You for the “keeping process” that we are not left alone, but that it is Your Work, Lord, in and through us. May we be in the world, but not of it, even as a ship is to be in the ocean, but not allowing the ocean to be in the ship.
- As Jesus prayed for oneness among all believers and envisioned that great multitude before the throne of God, of every race, tongue, class and social strata, we pray that we might be united as believers, and overcome all obstacles to unity! “Hosanna! Save Your people!”
Specific Prayer Topic for Today
Praying for our President and his Administration
As we read John 17, we see Jesus’ strong desire and prayer for His followers…that they be kept, sanctified, and unified. Do we share the same desires? Do we long to see the people of our nation saved, so that they too might be in that same unity with HIM…with us? As He was about to approach the cross, Jesus was full of faith… and triumphant, and even though the battle was still ahead, He went forth as a conqueror.
We have a brother in Christ who is thinking much as our Lord did…our President, Donald Trump! He longs to see this nation unified, with our people kept free and protected…as Jesus did! Our President desires that our people be one and although he has many enemies who want to see him fall, he has chosen to do what is right. His mind is not clouded by confusion or fear, and he is moving forward…bearing his cross…knowing that in the end it will be worth it all! He will emerge victoriously, as did his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
We pray:
- That our President will persevere and receive his eternal reward for his sacrifices on behalf of our nation and her people. Be with him now, Lord Jesus, during this HOLY WEEK, and flood over him with Your HOLY SPIRIT, guiding him through every situation he must deal with. Let him feel the Father’s love and approval as he serves You and us…with his whole heart!
