As we launch into tonight’s prayer, we once again declare our refusal to allow any demonic interference with this call…or in the lives of any of our 24/7 family. We bind and cast down every spirit that dares to raise its ugly head against us and we appropriate the Blood of Jesus to cover each of us on this call, and all of our loved ones!
Tonight, we bid a fond “farewell” of our dear friend Michael Griffiths, from San Diego, CA, who entered the Lord’s Presence around 11 pm last night after a brief battle with cancer. Though it’s hard to let him go, we know he would never want to leave where he is now…and he’s just waiting ‘til Annie, his wife, and dear friends like Chris and Carlene Leeper can experience the Glory of God as he’s seeing it now! Michael, yours was a job well done! Enter into your rest!
Carlene Leeper wrote:
“Chris and I were blessed to be able to spend a lot of time with Michael, Annie and their family over these past few weeks. Not once did Michael complain. He had so many reasons to complain, but not once did he. His hope and trust remained on the Lord. He honored and gave praise to HIM in everything. His mindset remained on Kingdom and making sure that the work that began with him would continue. He truly was faithful to the very end and exuded so many Christ-like qualities in spite of all he suffered.”

Pastor Ioan asked that we read aloud Psalm 116 as a tribute to Michael. He reminded us that the Lord loves those who have been His righteous ones. In the midst of all the pain and suffering, He invites us who are going through this situation to feel His touch and experience His Presence! In vs 10, we see that the Son believed the Father, and He spoke the truth of His situation…and the Son’s faith in the Father let Him pass through great affliction. Through faith, He saw what was to come…and saw the realization of how the spoken WORD brought forth all things!
Psalm 116
1 I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications.
2 Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
3 The pains of death surrounded me, And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow.
4 Then I called upon the name of the Lord: “O Lord, I implore You, deliver my soul!”
5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful.
6 The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me.
7 Return to your rest, O my soul, For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
8 For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from falling.
9 I will walk before the Lord In the land of the living.
10 I believed, therefore I spoke, “I am greatly afflicted.”
11 I said in my haste, “All men are liars.”
12 What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me?
13 I will take up the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of the Lord.
14 I will pay my vows to the Lord Now in the presence of all His people.
15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
16 O Lord, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have loosed my bonds.
17 I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving And will call upon the name of the Lord.
18 I will pay my vows to the Lord Now in the presence of all His people,
19 In the courts of the Lord’s house, In the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise the Lord!

Chris Leeper joined us to share his reflections about Michael. He shared that they started working together about 7 years ago…he ministered a lot in the Bay Area, and prayer-walked the state of CA from San Diego to San Francisco in the 90’s for 40 days. He worked with Harvest Evangelism, praying for 100 cities in the Bay region. He lost his home and everything in an oppressive lawsuit, and then came to San Diego, where he cared for his parents and in-laws for 14 years. When he and Chris met, the started Unite San Diego and 40 Days of Prayer and they planned to do a WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY into SAN DIEGO this next year. He started prayer breakfasts and was a strategist in the Kingdom of God! Michael and Chris “cut covenant”, committing to be unoffendable and indivisible and to walk in Godly relationship with each other…and he honored that! He and Annie are parents to 3 children, and Michael had a fourth child, a son, whom he was able to meet and connect with 2 years ago. Six weeks ago, he was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer – and within 6 weeks of being diagnosed, he transitioned to heaven! Before he left, he blessed Christ, and John Know, who heads up Awaken the Dawn California and others who will follow in his footsteps…carrying on with the work of the Kingdom! Chris said that Michael prayed that he would die in the grace of God, in the Lord in a very graceful way…and he did! He wanted to have his family around him, and to have Christ and Cerlene there…and they were. Through this all, the Lord showed me how important relationship is and how we should love one another as Christ loves us…how that relationship was the foundation of the “FAMILY BUSINESS” they were in with the Father! (And it is to be family first…and the business…the mission, second!) Chris said the Lord has given him a call and a mandate for CA, and its a vehicle, but what goes on in that vehicle is relationship! “That’s what’s on my heart tonight!”
Pastor Ioan shared his heart and memories about Michael. He prayed for comfort for the family and friends and all those who grieve the loss of Michael.
We prayed corporately for the comfort of the Lord to come upon the family and friends.
- Maureen prayed for the void that is left by his transitioning to be filled by many who will come and align themselves together to complete the work that has begun!
- Chris prayed for those who are in this next generation of leaders that will carry on the work that Michael started.
- Pastor Ioan and Chris both prayed that Annie and her children are comforted and guided through this difficult time. Let their focus be on You, Lord, and their eyes stay fixed on You!

As we transitioned from this time of prayer, we moved into the next…lifting our President to the Lord and rejoicing in His CHOICE of leader for this nation!
The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation! On this…“A CALL TO THE WALL…to Pray for our President”…which takes place for 2 hours each Tuesday evening, we focus on President Trump and pray into those things that need to be undergirded and supported, as he works to “Make America Great Again!” It is our privilege and honor to serve our President and nation here ”on the wall”!
Tonight, we pray for our President as he prepares for the “grandest 4th of July celebration ever” in Washington, DC! Pastor Ioan asked us to sing this song, which he and we love…and our hearts were stirred as we sang:

- Margie (LA) We come before you tonight with humble, and sincere hearts that are stirred on behalf of our nation! We are privileged to have been born here…as American citizens…and we thank You for giving us the grace and strength to stand against the enemies of this nation! Protect the President as we celebrate our nation’s birthday.
- Fatima (TN) as one who came from another country (EGYPT), I thank You for uniting us in this great United States. Many of us on this line may not have been born here, but You have placed that love for this country in our hearts, and we are grieved by those who hate this nation and have no clue of what they are doing. Remove that hateful, deceptive spirit that wants to divide us, and let the people’s eyes be opened so they can see the truth about our President and how he loves this country!
- Cheryl (MT) shared about her father’s conversion experience during WWII and how he loved people and spent his life in God’s service.
- Aida (CA) she came here with her family as a child. They loved America because it was a Christian nation. She was in tears as she prayed for the healing of this nation…that all would be ONE and unified in YOU!
- Desiree (NY) prayed for Aida, and asked that she experience the true blessings of America and be at peace! All shame must go and you must know that this is your land as much as it is ours!
- Pam (TX) prayed for Aida and blessed her
- Kay (IL) joined in that prayer for Aida and thanked her for bringing the heart of Jesus to the 24/7 call!
- Aida said that she is so grateful for the 24/7 line…and for being part of this family in the USA!

In praying for the President and his Administration tonight, we want to lift up two nominees that have just been announced by the President for the FED. Each day and hour, we bless the members of the Federal Reserve Board along with those who are part of our nation’s banking system which impacts our economy! We pray by name for: Jerome H. Powell, Richard H. Clarida, Randal K. Quarles, Michelle W. Bowman, and Lael Brainard serve with integrity and honor!
Sadly, the President’s last four nominees for the FED failed to get through the Senate confirmation process because of RINOs (Republicans) who broke ranks with Trump to kill the nominations.
Now, President Trump plans to nominate Christopher Waller and Judy Shelton to fill these two remaining seats on the Federal Reserve Board of governors, in an effort to get the central bank to lower interest rates ahead of the 2020 election. “I am pleased to announce that it is my intention to nominate Christopher Waller, Ph.D., Executive VP and Director of Research, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Missouri, to be on the board of the Federal Reserve,” adding in another tweet that he also plans to nominate Shelton.
- Shelton is a conservative scholar and was part of the Ben Carson campaign, then a former adviser to the Trump campaign. She was appointed US Executive Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development early in his tenure, a position that required Senate confirmation. Shelton’s FED nomination could potentially move faster since she has been vetted before. She holds a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Utah and was a fellow for many years at Stanford’s Hoover Institution. “I would lower rates as fast, as efficiently, as expeditiously as possible,” Shelton said last month. “The goal is still job creation even though it’s low employment.”
- Waller is an economist who currently serves as research director at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He rarely speaks publicly, but his boss, St. Louis FED President James Bullard, was the only member of the FED’s policy-setting committee to vote for an interest-rate cut in June.
We asked that research be done on them, and sent into us, so that we could know more about them, especially if they are believers. Lord, we ask You to clarify for us about these individuals. Help us to know how to pray for them and if they are Your choice, Lord!

We concluded this evening’s time of prayer by taking communion together. We rejoiced in being together, being restored in Him and enabled to be united in Him with one another! We rejoiced in Sheldon being out of open-heart surgery and doing well…and Fatima led in prayer for both he and Linda as he recuperates! ALLELUIA!
Pastor Ioan blessed us and asked that we open our hearts to receive the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and to receive from Him a share of His love in order to take it to our families and communities. He is here, and we are His! We receive, Lord!
