Sunday, August 4, 2019 – The 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call

“A CALL TO THE WALL…ONE NATION UNDER GOD”

1-712-770-4340 Code: 543555 #

We will not tolerate any demonic interference on the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call

In taking measures to protect and defend our 24/7 family, at the top of every hour,

the facilitator, in agreement with those on the line, will bind all forces of evil and cast them down into the abyss, then pray a shield of protection over this line and our 24/7 family!

*The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President Donald John Trump and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!

We pray for our President’s protection, cover him with the Blood of Jesus,

and pray that he will not respond to any provocation to go to war with Iran or any other nation!

We bless our First Lady, Melania and their marriage. We bless their son Barron and family members.

We cover our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family

and all those serving in this Administration.

We also bless the members of the Federal Reserve Board along with those who are part of our nation’s banking system which impacts our economy! May Jerome H. Powell, Richard H. Clarida,

Randal K. Quarles, Michelle W. Bowman, and Lael Brainard serve with integrity and honor!

We pray for all those on the front lines of the LIFE battle, particularly Cindy Collins, Allan Parker, Alveda King, our Governors, our State Legislators, the Supreme Court, our President,

and all those who have been conceived in rape or through incest or are abortion survivors!

Let healing come to all who have been affected by the sin of abortion!

The 24/7 NSPC is calling the Body of Christ nationwide to pray for the 2020 National Elections,

mobilizing intercessors and positioning ourselves in prayer before the Lord

on behalf of our President and nation!

COUNTDOWN: 458 days until the election!

Let us pray into this verse:

By Me kings reign, and rulers decree justice. By Me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth.”

Proverbs 8:15-16

WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

SCRIPTURAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PRESIDENT TO GOVERN

“Therefore, whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and they will incur judgment

For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad.

Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority?

Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good.”

Romans 13:2-4

The leftist liberals who oppose religious freedom and conservative values are continuously trying to find any means possible to disqualify our President. Whether it’s his comments, his Tweets or his way of governing, his opponents are looking for anything to suggest he is not fit to govern the nation.

Even among some Christians, there are differing opinions on the President’s effectiveness based on his style.

  • Are we missing the powerful ways in which the Lord is using our President to extend Kingdom influence?
  • Are Christians imposing a standard on our President that is not even mandated by Scripture?

We must get past our personal preferences and differing opinions. We must look to Scripture to provide a proper perspective about what God looks for in a civil leader

We pray:

  • Lord, cleanse our hearts of negative impressions, false standards, or wrongful judgments we have made about our President, so we can hear what You say about him and Your purposes at this hour!

Scripture gives us clear and specific character qualifications for church leaders (deacons, overseers, elders). Look at these, delineated in 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1:6-9 and 1 Peter 5:2-3. God calls them to be:

“…blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence; not a novice; a good testimony among those who are outside; reverent, not double-tongued, holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience; a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered,, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict; a Shepherd of the flock of God; overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock”

It is evident that those whom the Lord calls to lead the Church are held to high standards. They (and their families) are expected to demonstrate Godly character and to live lives of integrity that uphold biblical values. Their role is to bring the lost into the Kingdom, disciple believers into holiness and godliness and to mature the Bride of Christ. In all the descriptors, it is clear that God expects high moral character and purity of conduct and speech in those who lead His church.

We pray:

  • That these standards will be upheld across the Body of Christ and that those who are not living them out today will be convicted by the Holy Spirit, repent, and begin to observe all that God commands for those who lead His flock!

NOW…we turn to the subject of “civil servants” and we see that the Bible refers to them quite differently. Rather than a list of “personal qualifications”, the Word details how God will “use governmental leaders to accomplish His purposes”. With them, it’s all about Him and His plan! Read these verses slowly…to really take in what God is saying…and then pray into each of them:

  • Romans 13:1-6Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing.”
  • 1 Peter 2:13-14 “Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.”

What God says about civil leaders, those governing authorities within human institutions, is that they are:

  • God’s servant for the good of the people
  • A terror to bad conduct, bearing the sword
  • Avengers who carry out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer
  • Servant of God, attending to taxation of the people
  • Sent by God to punish those who do evil and praise those who do good

These are descriptions of how God sees and uses civil leaders. Their primary role is to keep the people safe from harm, punish those who break the law, and reward those who do good

  • In Exodus 18:21-22 judges were appointed to govern the people. Their list of qualifications called for men who feared God, were truthful, trustworthy, hated bribes and were God-fearing.
  • King Cyrus Isaiah 45 and the Pharaoh Genesis 41 were both heathen rulers who recognized God at work and empowered the people of God to flourish and succeed. In both testaments, God’s purposes for governing rulers was to discern rightly, judge fairly, and follow the laws of the land so that all would thrive.

We pray:

  • In thanksgiving for a President who fits these Biblical descriptions for civil leaders, and even more! He is a man who knows what is required of him and seeks to do it… as unto God and on behalf of this nation! Lord, bless him in all that he does!

What does this mean in today’s political process? We can look to the primary qualifications in Scripture to determine their ability to govern well. Civil government leaders are called to rule with a strong hand to ensure safety, protection, and freedom for all. We of the 24/7 affirm our President and look to his initiatives and legislative actions for the good of our nation. It is time that believers start assessing and championing our President’s effectiveness by the qualifications listed in Scripture, for:

“He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings”

Daniel 2:21

We pray: Let us answer these questions and pray for our President and his Administration.

  • What is his track record since being in office and what has he accomplished?
  • What legislation has he initiated to improve the quality of life for all citizens?
  • How is he dealing with those who threaten our sovereignty and national security?
  • How is he rewarding those who serve the nation and its good citizens?
  • And, for those concerned about conservative values, how is he supporting Christians and religious freedom?

We continue to pray that all our elected officials would have an authentic encounter and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As they are fulfilling God’s purposes as civil leaders, their actions will speak louder than their words. AMEN! HalleluYah!

Specific Prayer Topic for Today

Praying for our Supreme Court and the Judicial System

We rejoice that President Trump is changing the face of our judicial system with appointments of good, integrity-filled, Constitutional conservatives. As of August 1st, the Senate has confirmed 146 Article III judges nominated by President Trump, including 2 Associate Justices of the Supreme Court, 43 judges for the United States Courts of Appeals, 99 judges for the United States District Courts, and 2 judges for the United States Court of International Trade.

We pray:

  • For the swift approval and confirmation of the 35 current nominees to Article III courts awaiting Senate action, including: 1 for the Courts of Appeals and 34 for the District Courts.
  • For the President to fill the remaining vacancies: 4 on the US Courts of Appeals, 97 vacancies on the US District Courts, 2 vacancies on the US Court of International Trade, and 9 announced federal judicial vacancies that will occur before the end of his first term (1 for the Courts of Appeals and 8 for District Courts).
  • For the next two nominees to the Supreme Court…whoever they might be!
