We begin the hour today by praising and giving thanks to God!
“The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.”
Psalm 29:11

The key assignment for the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call is to intercede hourly for the safety and security of our President, Donald John Trump, and to pray for that which pertains to our nation!
We pray for our President’s protection and cover him with the Blood of Jesus,
asking that he will respond to every situation by the leading of the Holy Spirit.
We refer those to You who are plotting and planning the demise of our beloved President!
We say “No!” to them and ask that You expose and foil all their plans! Thank You, Lord!
We bless our First Lady, Melania, their marriage, their son Barron and all their family members.
We bless our Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen and their family
and all those serving in this Administration.
We bless the Federal Reserve Board members.
May they serve with integrity and honor, doing what’s right for our nation’s economy!
The 24/7 NSPC is praying for the 2020 National Elections,
positioning ourselves in intercession before the Lord on behalf of our President and nation!

Strategic Focus for Saturday
WELCOME THE KING OF GLORY INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
A CALL FOR A NATIONAL DAY OF REPENTANCE – Part 13
“Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive,
and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace”
Jeremiah 29:7
Our opening scripture from Jeremiah 29 was originally written to the Jews who were captive in Babylon. God instructed them to pray for the peace of the city that was home to their enemies, people who had slaughtered their fellow Israelites, burned their city and carried them away captive. They were being told to pray in a most generous way…for their enemies, for the Hebrew word “SHALOM” which means “peace,” in this particular passage, carried the meaning of not only peace, but of prosperity and general well-being.
God was making it clear that, in giving this command, His deeper concern was for His people’s well-being. Their destiny was intrinsically tied to the destiny of Babylon, the place of their captivity! He was telling them that:
- When there was peace in Babylon, they would share in that peace.
- If, however, there was war, bloodshed and famine, they would also share in the suffering.
There is a parallel with this story, as we in the United States are being called to pray for this nation…for our President and leaders, and for the SHALOM – the peace – of America.
- When our President succeeds in his goal to “make America great again,” every American will benefit.
- If, however, the nation is plunged into a recession and chaos – or even a civil war – we will all suffer.
We pray:
Paul made a similar appeal to Timothy, who was in the pagan, idolatrous city of Ephesus. Paul wrote to him:
“Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone, for kings and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth”
1 Timothy 2:1-4
The Greek word “basileus” means “king”, and was used when referring to both the Emperor in Rome, as well as to lesser rulers. The Emperor ruling in Rome at the time when Paul wrote this letter to Timothy was Nero, perhaps one of the most wicked men in all history!. Paul’s instruction was clear…and his words still stand today…we are to pray for civil leaders, even if we vehemently disagree with them and their policies.
We pray:
There is a power that is unleashed when Christians pray “proactive prayers” for government leaders. Engaging in a WARFARE OF LOVE, we are with our Bridegroom King, standing with Him…our hearts, minds and spirits determined that HE WILL RECEIVE all the GLORY and HONOR He truly deserves. We obey His WORD…and we intercede with all we are and all we hope for…according to His Word and His Will. We are praying positively into the future of this nation…moving onward…forward! KADIMA!
We pray:
The phrase in this passage, “quiet and peaceful,” is translated from the Greek phrase “heremon kai hesuchion”’
- ‘‘heremon” denotes “quiet arising from the absence of outward disturbance”
- “hesuchion” is “tranquility arising from within.”
- Together, they express the same idea as the word SHALOM
Timothy and the believers in Ephesus were to pray for “kings and all who are in authority” for the same reason the captive Jews were to pray for the city of Babylon. They would be blessed, for if there was peace and prosperity in Ephesus and the Empire, he and the Ephesian believers would share in that same peace and prosperity. Can we sense how the quiet which is the result of external peace, and the tranquility which is coming from within, create a beautiful blend, producing a SHALOM that might be likened to a sweet incense rising to the Lord! We become that offering!
We pray:
Paul then delineates another great benefit as a result of praying for civil leaders: the freedom to spread the good news of Jesus. This is expressed in the phrase:
“for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth”
2 Timothy 2:3-4
When a society is at peace and experiencing the SHALOM of God, heaven comes in, and hostility toward Christians tends to subside… because of God’s favor. This opens the way for the free flow of the gospel to all the world…which is definitely “good and acceptable” in God’s sight.
These Biblical principles MUST be applied…no matter who is in office. Whether we identify as Republican, Democrat or Independent, we are to pray as God commands in order to see that fruitful harvest of souls which is part of the destiny of this nation!
Despite all the chaos and turmoil taking place in the world around us, we make a conscious choice to be “centered” in Christ Jesus. He is our Life, our Love and our total Focus…the PRINCE of PEACE…the FULLNESS of SHALOM. In His Presence there is fullness of JOY…He surrounds us with His goodness, and we are…
“…anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
No matter what may come, whatever threats of upheaval in the Middle East, negative “prognostications” about our economy, Antifa creating pandemonium in the streets, with God’s peace, His SHALOM that passes all understanding, our hearts will be guarded, our minds will be protected and we can enter freely into His Presence!
We pray:
- Lord, help us to “seek the peace of the city…and pray for it…so that in its peace, we will have peace”
- Let us intercede for our beloved President and for “all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life”
- Give us hearts that desire to see “all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth”
